A good pool player plays up to the competition. If we are playing a bad player we have a tendency to play down. Notice that the American player claps , hands his opponent the ball, concedes the game before the last shot.

Pickle was setting up action for after the tourney.. not saying he threw the match entirely but it kinda cools the action on those gambling railbirds if you "beat" the magician!

@1:38 That shot wasn't hard. He only needed to make the 2 hit the tangent line, from the 8, to the pocket. He literally had a whole 1/4 of the 2 he could hit (anywhere within that 1/4 ball) and make it. On-the-other-hand... That 3 ball shot was amazing. All skill and knowledge. Nothing easy about it at all.
Wrong. He strategically picked the correct part of the ball to hit and nailed it. Most ameuture players would have just whacked it and prayed.

There's a major difference between a good deliberate safety shot and missing a pot and happening to land safely. Hence why Pickle got lucky several times. I still think he played well considering he was playing Efren. And I respect the sportsmanship Pickle was displaying
Not sure if Pickle is still locked up these days but he could play pretty good and held up well for the cash too!
Just like one comment wrote deliberately playing safety shot and missing to pot but landing on a safety is totally different. It happened multiple times for him. Efren never had such thing happened even ones in this particular match. Efren made a ball pot successfully & then the cue ball went to the pocket. On 8 ball Efren went to perform a magic shot but the 8 ball stopped right before the pocket & the cue ball hit the 9 ball to get it closer to the pocket. If Efren would've been in opposition then the cue ball would be touthing the 9 ball in a way that there would be no way to pot it after potting the 8 ball. That's why Efren was unlucky & the other guy was lucky. Not everything he did was a result of luck & the commentator didn't say that. You made up that lie. Learn to accept reality. People will call black a black. It may bother you & seem to you too much but people will speak the truth regardless of your liking it or not.
It only goes to show that efren is human!

Pickle deserved to win but he made so many mistakes that the was actually lucky to be given "one more chance" again and again.
That's exactly why he didn't deserve to win. This is why I hate 9 ball. If they were playing 10 ball the better player prevails (Effron).

Is there a billiard game Mr. Reyes sucks at??? At 4:00 it was a shot that only very talented 3-cushion players can do with regularity.
I am not surprised that he has no jump cue. He does not need it.
