I've had a falling out with my earthly father who is a non-believer and he's now 88 years old with cancer. He told me he never wants to talk to me again and he unfriended me off of facebook. Basically, he continues to hurt me and he can be abusive and if I call him on it he turns it around and somehow he becomes the victim. Both of my parents were emotionally unavailable and neglectful and I believe narcissistic. At any rate, I had a dream about my father the other morning. I dreamed that we were talking a walk on a trail with a bunch of people. He was much younger...like in his 50s and I was in my 20s. It reminded me of when my son was born and I made my dad take a walk with us on a path along this river that was much longer than my father had imagined and he was clearly not happy with how far I made him walk (that part happened in real life...LOL). Any ways, in my dream my dad sat down on a bench and said he couldn't go any further and for some reason it was imperative that I continue to finish this journey so I finally told my dad I had to go on without him. I got to where everyone met up to take a break and they told me that my dad was still way back sitting on a bench and not moving. I decided to walk back to my dad and told him I'd walk the rest of the way with him and that I'll buy him some water too. He said, "I'm so thirsty!" I gave him a little water I had and got him to walk with me to the store where I bought a bunch of big gallon waters and gave it to him. He was laughing like none of it was a big deal kinda like he was in denial. I was wondering if anyone has an interpretation. But just to let you know, I've tried to talk to him about Jesus and he will not listen and right now we're not talking anyways so all I can do is pray for him.
I feel that’s your passion for you that your dad can join you in your journey with the Lord and that thirst is his Thirst without God . Jesus said to the Samaritan women if you drink of the living water you will never thirst again . Your dad needs you continue to minister to Him He needs that living water he’s thirsty he needs God
