Hey buddy, I have had a similar experience, I think that alot of this may root from an incorrect understanding of God's character and an incorrect understanding of your identity as a believer. In my experience I found that being insecure led me to believe I'd "blown it this time" leading me to sorrow and striving to do better but without the Holy Spirit you are incapable of doing better... in what you have said above it sounds like your deepest desire is for relationship or deeper relationship with Jesus (i dont see how anybody who didn't have the Holy Spirit could desire this) and if this is the case then ask God to fulfill that desire, for his glory. Don't try and battle your sin as if Jesus hasn't already defeated it. I think that may be starting off on the wrong foot....faith comes by hearing the word of God in the Bible and so I like to pray psalm 51 over myself when I feel helpless and my flesh has risen up. Seek the kingdom and watch everything else start to fall in to place! :)
I know exactly what you mean. Born againover 20 yrs and seasoned believer but seeking a way to get close to the holy spirit. I'm learning no matter how much knowledge we obtain it's important to stop thinking and SURRENDER our heart. It may require fasting from tv, indulgences, food and entertainment for a period. I'm here now doing that. A week or so of intentional holy spirit-centeredness.

I know how is like when evangelism goes bad and it almost takes the last bit of faith you had left. i know not everybody has the same "luck" he had. and not every prayer will be answer with a yes. but lets not get tired of doing the right thing, and lets hope on it and wait cause God is taking care of us. i dont let myself carry away for this kind of testimonies but i think this one is amazing.

I was born very premature. My mother was called to the hospital to see me before I passed. I was given a poisonous drug to "help" me in the incubator that killed many children. God has a plan for me and I love him for that and many other things. I am so glad that I am alive today so that I may one day know why our FATHER saved me. PRAISE THE LORD! HE IS HOLY AND HE IS WORTH!
Go find him. Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. God is taking care of him but he will hold you accountable. Is this family a good family? Are they taking good care of him? How could you not want to know? Are you ready to be a good parent or is it too late? Pray for your sons protection and ask God for strength and courage. Bless.
When he stated that his mother's prayers had come to pass, it reminds me of Hannah, when God blessed her with Samuel, whom she prayed and made a vow with God. Samuel will end up working for the Lord God, doing the exact same thing she vowed to the Lord, even though she had to give him up to Eli.
I can't stop crying. I was thinking to myself - what if that person was successful in talking jasons mom into abortion? I have learned more from Jason Upton in the last year than I have in eighteen years of walking with God and going to church. His teachings - his music - his lyrics - his anointing - straight from the throne room. I have been set free by the Lord through Jason's obedience and his life. Jason, thanks for your testimony the other day at Calvary chapel. My mom had suffered from four abortions before she had my brother and me. God forgave her long ago. I mean God forgave her totally and completely. But she hasn't been able to forgive herself. She suffers for the loss of those children, my unborn half brothers or sisters. She almost died from those abortions and still carries the guilt. Please pray for her that she get comforted by Jesus. She is 92 years old now and her days on earth are numbered. Today, Jesus told me that she has four unborn children waiting for her in heaven; Jesus wants her to name them and hold them just like she held my brother and me. Jesus's love and compassion is indescribably incredible. And today I get to tell her this. Amen!

Several years ago, she handsewn over 1,500 soft fabric prayer books for little children to learn the basic Christian prayers. She's done so much in her elder years to make a difference. Her message is adamant: she does not want any women to have to suffer the way she did. And mostly, she wants all babies to live their God given right to live. She's 93 and still going strong. If she could save even one young woman from making the same mistake, she would consider that a complete victory. We talked about it the other day: her pain is as raw as the days of her abortions. She's so overwhelmed by Jesus's forgiveness. She really can't focus on meeting her unborn children yet. It's too much for her. But pro lifers: she's cheering you on and never give up.

I spoke a similar prayer over my grandson as I cradled him before I gave him over for adoption in 2013. God told me he would sing for Him when he was in my daughter's womb. Understandably, I am in tears over your testimony, Jason. my heart breaks for you....I put my first child up for adoption...fear she wouldnt have a good life with me...but make a long store short...GOD exposed it all the NIGHT before I was to sign the final papers in court!!! WOW ! What a powerful testimony !!! I gave up my youngest son 20 years ago. In fact he just turned 20 Feb. 18, 2011. I've been in touch with him over the years. He's turning out to be quite a young man. Going to Business school for accounting and then has plans to further his education and go to Seminary to be a Lutheran Minister !! While it did hurt to give him up, I know God has special plans for him ! : )

I got so emotional watching your testimony My sister was adopted when she was a baby I never knew about her until à few years ago I left Scotland for 26 years came back 2018 I spent my very first birthday 22 of May 2019. 22nd of June she was gone passed away from cancer but I was so thankful to have known her for that short time you know I have had so many surgeries been brought back to life 5 times God has always protected me even when my mother passed when I was nine I was angry and bitter at her but I understood the older I got so thank you for your testimony opening up to us Bless you and your family Jason
When I got pregnant in college, the biological father told me to "take care of it" I misunderstood and said I will. A week later he said ...did you have the abortion, I said what "no" ??? He was mad!!! I told him it's not the child fault, he/she deserves to live. God took over & I never looked back. My son is 26yrs old now...I married a Christian man, my son was 6 yrs old at the time. He had a bond with him right away. God blessed my husband & I with a baby boy & brother for my son. My boys are such a blessing. No child should be discarded because they are an inconvenient.
Jason I am touched by your testimony. In fact I am crying. I took a little baby boy from the hospital whom the mother didn't want righ after giving birth to him. The nurses didn't know what to do and one of them called my sister. My sister told me about the baby and we went to pick him up. We cleaned him up and I prayed for him. I put honey in his mouth telling God that his word Wil be like honey coming out as he preach and I also poured olive oil on him telling God that he will be anointed for Gods purpose. The little boy is now one year seven months old. I really believe that God will answer my prayers just as he answer your mother's prayers. God bless you in your ways.

i understand your concerns about bible teaching and consonance and hermeneutical discipline, etc, and i can safely say this is not my favorite style of worship, but i do believe that God is either raising up a generation that will be very great in the Lord, or the Lord will come back soon. Why? God has always raised up generations sufficient to overcome in Christ for the times, and the times are very bleak...requiring a very great generation to persevere. despite appearances, they will be great!

I too am a recovering addict heroin to be exact and now through the tender grace of our everloving Abba the drugs and alcohol just fell away and and I have been freed through the Spirit of truth. the kingdom of heaven is before us truth pure truth . I spent most of my adult life incarcerated and Godless. and it's funny I've just been getting to know who I am again through the counsel of the holy spirit. praise his holy name I was dead and he reserrected me I rose with him was bathed in his blood, confirmed and was nourished with the holy eucharist bless you all.
oh and yes the percentage of opiate addicts in the world to recover and survive is only three percent when I found that out I sat down and thanked my holy Father that I am 777% through his perfect love and through a miracle he answered my prayer now drug and alcohol abuse are not even an option and I can't stand the feeling of being under the influence of any hard drug amen amen praise his holy name I was never and. now I am.
Abortion is not the answer to promiscuity. It is fortunate for this man that his mother chose to put him up for adoption. Many foster kids are not so fortunate. To abolish abortion and condem those who are associated with it is short sited. Proper education, unbiased support is required for all faced with this difficult life choice. Don't turn your back and condem, listen, support and treat each case individually and let logic and reason prevail.
Lesser of two evils perhaps then? What I'm seeing is one side stating it will oppose support for government sponsored abortion, and the other side proudly supporting it with eagerness. I could just not involve myself in the process. But if I chose to, or if I had to, I think I know which side I would pick. However that is just me, personally.
I also was adopted from another country, not knowing my biological parents, but unfortunately my adopted parents in America got rid of us at a young age..
I'm so sorry for your experience. Know that our God will never reject or abandon you. You are His always. No matter what things look like or how you feel God has a plan for you. Trust Him to make beauty from your ashes. My mother lost her parents as a child. She wasn't in the best situation growing up. All she wanted was a family of her own. God gave her that and a purpose. She and my dad spent their lives caring for and ministering others. Through God she was able to let her pain and loss be the motivating force to uplift others. Nothing is impossible with GOD 🙏💗🙏

She almost died from those abortions and still carries the guilt. Please pray for her that she get comforted by Jesus. She is 92 years old now and her days on earth are numbered. Today, Jesus told me that she has four unborn children waiting for her in heaven; Jesus wants her to name them and hold them just like she held my brother and me. Jesus's love and compassion is indescribably incredible. And today I get to tell her this. Amen!

@@melm1932 My mom is the greatest mom. Recently she wanted to thank the prolife advocates for all their hard work getting the message out to save the unborn babies. Several years ago, she handsewn over 1,500 soft fabric prayer books for little children to learn the basic Christian prayers. She's done so much in her elder years to make a difference. Her message is adamant: she does not want any women to have to suffer the way she did. And mostly, she wants all babies to live their God given right to live. She's 93 and still going strong. If she could save even one young woman from making the same mistake, she would consider that a complete victory. We talked about it the other day: her pain is as raw as the days of her abortions. She's so overwhelmed by Jesus's forgiveness. She really can't focus on meeting her unborn children yet. It's too much for her. But pro lifers: she's cheering you on and never give up.

Thank you Jason for your great inspiring message, I felt it with you while tears running.About 20 years back I devorced my exhusband and my 2 sons to stay with me.It was was a terrible time and I met a much older man who abuse me mentally and physically and controle me.I couln't exscaped him and he drove all my friends and family away.He was a alcholic and I also started to join him and then he hurt me.I could feel and see my kids can not go threw this and I was blindsided in love with this man.I made a choice to send my children to my ex husband and deep inside I know God gave me the right option.I prayed every morning, during the day, at night for my children and asked God to take and protect them with He's presious Blood.My children today is 21 and 23 and both children of God and go and work for the church.After my prayers God resquide me from that man and then God help me to built my life and trust again and I am seeing my children almost every day.God is alive and I love Him so.God bless you so much.🙏🙌🙏
I spoke a similar prayer over my grandson as I cradled him before I gave him over for adoption in 2013. God told me he would sing for Him when he was in my daughter's womb. Understandably, I am in tears over your testimony, Jason. I believe God's promises, and declare and decree that my beautiful boy will spend his life worshipping with the Angels of Heaven, for the Glory of the Lord! my heart breaks for you....I put my first child up for adoption...fear she wouldnt have a good life with me...but make a long store short...GOD exposed it all the NIGHT before I was to sign the final papers in court!!! I got my daughter back that day...and she is 49 now...and I couldnt have a better relationship with her than I do now!! THANK YOU LORD JESUS!!!

In fact he just turned 20 Feb. 18, 2011. I've been in touch with him over the years. He's turning out to be quite a young man. Going to Business school for accounting and then has plans to further his education and go to Seminary to be a Lutheran Minister !! While it did hurt to give him up, I know God has special plans for him ! : )

When I got pregnant in college, the biological father told me to "take care of it" I misunderstood and said I will.
A week later he said ...did you have the abortion, I said what "no" ???
He was mad!!! I told him it's not the child fault, he/she deserves to live.
God took over & I never looked back.
My son is 26yrs old now...I married a Christian man, my son was 6 yrs old at the time.
He had a bond with him right away.
God blessed my husband & I with a baby boy & brother for my son.
My boys are such a blessing.
No child should be discarded because they are an inconvenient.

Jason I am touched by your testimony. In fact I am crying. I took a little baby boy from the hospital whom the mother didn't want righ after giving birth to him. The nurses didn't know what to do and one of them called my sister. My sister told me about the baby and we went to pick him up. We cleaned him up and I prayed for him. I put honey in his mouth telling God that his word Wil be like honey coming out as he preach and I also poured olive oil on him telling God that he will be anointed for Gods purpose. The little boy is now one year seven months old. I really believe that God will answer my prayers just as he answer your mother's prayers. God bless you in your ways.

i understand your concerns about bible teaching and consonance and hermeneutical discipline, etc, and i can safely say this is not my favorite style of worship, but i do believe that God is either raising up a generation that will be very great in the Lord, or the Lord will come back soon. Why? God has always raised up generations sufficient to overcome in Christ for the times, and the times are very bleak...requiring a very great generation to persevere. despite appearances, they will be great!

I too am a recovering addict heroin to be exact and now through the tender grace of our everloving Abba the drugs and alcohol just fell away and and I have been freed through the Spirit of truth. the kingdom of heaven is before us truth pure truth . I spent most of my adult life incarcerated and Godless. and it's funny I've just been getting to know who I am again through the counsel of the holy spirit. praise his holy name I was dead and he reserrected me I rose with him was bathed in his blood, confirmed and was nourished with the holy eucharist bless you all.
oh and yes the percentage of opiate addicts in the world to recover and survive is only three percent when I found that out I sat down and thanked my holy Father that I am 777% through his perfect love and through a miracle he answered my prayer now drug and alcohol abuse are not even an option and I can't stand the feeling of being under the influence of any hard drug amen amen praise his holy name I was never and. now I am.
Abortion is not the answer to promiscuity. It is fortunate for this man that his mother chose to put him up for adoption. Many foster kids are not so fortunate. To abolish abortion and condem those who are associated with it is short sited. Proper education, unbiased support is required for all faced with this difficult life choice. Don't turn your back and condem, listen, support and treat each case individually and let logic and reason prevail.
Lesser of two evils perhaps then? What I'm seeing is one side stating it will oppose support for government sponsored abortion, and the other side proudly supporting it with eagerness. I could just not involve myself in the process. But if I chose to, or if I had to, I think I know which side I would pick. However that is just me, personally.
So encouraging thank you for sharing, even they say men do not cry; but I couldn't hold my tears.
I also was adopted from another country, not knowing my biological parents, but unfortunately my adopted parents in America got rid of us at a young age..
I'm so sorry for your experience. Know that our God will never reject or abandon you. You are His always. No matter what things look like or how you feel God has a plan for you. Trust Him to make beauty from your ashes. My mother lost her parents as a child. She wasn't in the best situation growing up. All she wanted was a family of her own. God gave her that and a purpose. She and my dad spent their lives caring for and ministering others. Through God she was able to let her pain and loss be the motivating force to uplift others. Nothing is impossible with GOD 🙏💗🙏
