That is a really cool helicopter. Sure is a lot nicer than the little dinky out of scale one Lionel has offered in the past. Even with the loose parts what a fantastic model.
That is a cool car! It's too bad that is came damaged. I've heard good and bad about Trainz, so I guess that it is a crap-shoot, at times. I'm not a big fan of the sprung trucks, though. I think that they can make them look good, without being actually sprung. As far as a spring shooting off somewhere, it happens. Using a bag or container, when taking them apart is pretty smart. I had one take--off when I was servicing my #41, but I didn't care, as I was replacing the springs in the brush plate. For some reason, after I did the repair, it would slow down after a few minutes on my layout. I took it apart and noticed that one of the spring holders on the plate had gotten hot and melted a bit. I looked down in the gears and there was the old spring and it was causing the armature to be skewered a bit. I removed it and it runs fine, now. Either way, that is a great car, for sure. An excellent video, as always.
Neat lionel did a good job .
Cool piece of Rolling stock
Very nice. I wasn't aware of all this Texas Special rolling stock. Makes me think...
