    People often think that longevity is simply living for a long time, but that couldn't be more untrue. It's all about the quality of your life over the quantity and number of years. Someone living to 105 could have simply gotten lucky and managed to not die during the process. It's important to have a quality life, and that starts with understanding longevity.

    Dr. Mona, thank you so much for your very informative videos! I love to watch your videos. I always learn so much from them, health, lifestyle and beauty. Would you please make a video on fasting, and when is the best time for women to fast? I have heard women in reproductive age should not do a fast a week before the period.

    Doesn’t your body detox naturally? What do you mean by detoxing, because I know scientifically your body is constantly detoxing on its own.

    • @science-y9209
      @science-y9209 3 роки тому

      Even though your body is naturally detoxifying itself.. you still need to help it out with some of its work..
      Like , detoxification of lymphatic system through message.. lemon- water for detoxifying your blood in particular .. and body in general

      @@science-y9209 lemon water doesn’t detox your blood lol

    • @science-y9209
      @science-y9209 3 роки тому

      @@aratajoka4165 i know.. but lemon water is an unproven fad ...
      Water itself helps in detoxifying the body..
      Lemon water, cucumber water have potassium , an electrolyte that helps to remove salt from your bloodstream and ultimately keep your blood pressure at an optimum rate.. .
      Even though , I mistakenly wrote lemon water for its detoxifying abilities but it does possess so many health benefits that does keep your inside healthy ..
      I have experimented with so many naturally flavoured water .. they do come in handy .. and lemon , in particular , adds a burst of flavour when accompanied by cucumber and honey.. it refreshes my mood and body..
      But yeah they don't help in detoxification ..
      One more thing .. even if lemon water doesn't help with detoxification but other things like intermitted fasting , diet rich in fiber does help ..
      Please excuse my lemon water argument. ..

    • @science-y9209
      @science-y9209 3 роки тому

      @@aratajoka4165 body needs your help .. cuz it cant do all by itself... for example you'll have to move a bit
      And consume fiber ... cuz you know if you don't move or don't consume enough of fiber .. you're gonna get constipated..
      So yeah , even though body can detoxify itself but at some point they're gonna need your help.. to get its job done properly... That's it

    Dr. Mona. This was such an informative video! Thank you! It's actually one of my favorites of yours. I must be totally honest with you, however. The very busy music in the background was rather distracting. I wanted to hear every word you spoke and the music prevented the flow. I LOVE your videos and channel, so I hope I didn't offend you. I am just trying to help. Maybe if it was a more peaceful choice of music it would have been fine.....

    Brilliant video. I certainly do agree with mediation. I meditate after reading the Bible every day. It helps with my faith. I also believe that by applying the principles contained within the Bible it helps reduce stress. I don't agree with the fasting because a lot of ex-vegans have done it while vegan and it has led to health problems or existing health problems getting worse and them giving up being vegan.

  • @SaintOrCinema

    A 16-18 hour fast would just be too much like binge eating for me. Wolfing down 2000 calories in the space of six hours is putting so much strain on my digestion that it would probably offset the digestive benefits of the fast! I think there must be a more balanced approach.
