I think coach Davis knows what he has in Washington,Withers,High,Luben and Brown sometimes what you have in your garage is better than what's in the shinny dealership on the corner
JWash should be top 5 in minutes and there you have your center. Everyone for some reason don't have confidence in that. Please take into consideration he played behind Bacot for 2 years but remember what he does when he did get the opportunity. Remember VaTech? Look at his per 40 stats. I think he's going to surprise people and have to eat crow. Carolina has been extremely successful without 7' guys
It doesn’t matter. We have the same size and athleticism as we had in 2017-2019. Only the beat down by Texas A & M in 2018 exposed us- otherwise we did very very well
The best reason for depth is to run as hard as you can at the other team, both defensively and offensively. That can't be done when people get tired. The days of stocking a bench with good players just sitting are long gone. Great players want playing time, but so do good players.
Yeah, hubert definitely needs to play with lineups in these cupcake games. Even if we only win by 5 points, a win is a win ans we need to trust that we'll beat enough quad 1s and 2s as the season goes along. We gotta get zayden, ven allen and james out there and see what they can do, otherwise why are they even here??
Worrying about the playing time insecurities of young potential recruits is not a good way to determine a player rotation. Performance at practice & in games is what should matter. Players will want to come to a school where a coach shoots straight & bases playing time on merit rather than theoretical recruiting ramifications.
So last year he played 7 players over 10min a game, and 9 players over 8min a game. Talent wise, this will be his youngest team. He has no choice but to play depth at the 1-3 because of how good the guards/wings will be. I think the 4/5 will be ran by committee, with Tyson getting most of the minutes at 4.
The 100m and 200m is the best for me in the summer games. Soccer is a close second and then long and high jumps are crazy to watch. I agree with the winter sports, love those too.
I could have sworn this team was within a half of winning the natty playing 6 or 7 guys doing the 2022 tournament. Should guys play if they haven't earned playing time? Participation trophy 🏆?
As far as Ven-Allen Lubin I can't recall a good team or a team that had success in the NCAA tournament with a 6'8" center. I think he should play the 4 position.
2021 baylor championship team started a 6-8 center . The last 3 Houston teams started a front Court of 6-8 and 6-7 they always in the top 5. They would been in final four last year if their Best player didn’t get hurt in dook game . You don’t need a 6-11 big man to win a natty . This year baylor team Starting a 6-7 norchad at the 5. Our team not small Jwash 6-10, jwit 6-9, Lubin 6-8, ZAyden 6-9.

I'm confident I could take this current team and make it a competitive Natty contender. So much speed and athleticism.
Yeah and most definitely if they had picked up a true 5 but still could be a really good team
No size!

I suggest play blue and white teams, like Dean Smith.
That's the best suggestion in a while.

Regardless it won’t effect recruiting. UNC will always be in the mix for top transfers and too high school players. UNC4L!

I don’t see it impacting recruiting too much. The top recruits will play.

I like Zayden High, I think he has something. He reminds me of Joakim Noah.

How tall was Sean May or Tyler Hansbrough Sam Perkins Kennedy Meeks? I wait for you to look it up
