Filipinos are not afraid to get their hands dirty when it comes to work as long as it helps their families. It doesn't matter what kinds of work would it be.
This is a very good program for the Filipinos who can not find employment in the Phil. Thank you Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Filipino workers; and other nationalities couldnt get the jobs that most Filipinos get. Here in Canada, employers simply love the Filipinos. Not for our slave-mentallity. But because we are good Christians and do have high moral values. And because we possess the Christian virtues, we give all out in our service. We are more patient and forbearing as the bible tells us to be - kind, has goodness, lots of love, humble, has strong self-control, peaceful and peace-makers, full of joy, and is filled with faith in GOd. These are the fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT as mentioned in Galatians 5:22. So those bashers, they are just envious and jealous. In Matthew 5:44, Jesus said love your enemies and pray for your persecutors, so let us forgive those who hate us. Also, more than 80% of Filipinos are Catholics, so we revere the Mother of God, our mother from whom we derive our inspiration from. We imitate Mother Mary and the whole world just love us; yes, because we are Marian-like.

My husband went to a Caribbean cruise and he said, all crews are Filipinos except the captain! 😃
He must be blind becuse i work on sympethy and i also have worked on adveture. And all my co workers was eter from the us. Some where from norway like me. I was a bartender and most of friends where from europe. Dont take me wrong there is alot of filipinos but most of them are housekeepers or they work downstair with electical or guest check in

I believe that the negative feelings towards filipinos could be at, least in part due to the fact that they are sought after for work and seem to get employed relatively easy. I am a merchant seaman (FYI most seafarers are filipinos) from Argentina, and I have worked in cargo ships and passanger ships, Royal Caribbean in fact, and I've had opportunities to meet people from all parts of the world and came to the conclussion that it doesn't make any real difference where you come from, at least to me. That said, finding a job out on the sea is difficult for a non-filipino, some shipping companies are explicit in their desire to hire filipinos and don't even give you a look if you were born in the 'wrong' place, and having worked with a wide range of nationalities I have to say nothing makes filipinos, as a whole, stand out either for technical or personal qualities. Same goes for every other nationality. Honestly I believe money is and always will be the real motive. Bottom line, Individuals aren't defined by their birthplace, but by their actions. I apologize for any offenses caused, it wasn't my intent to do so.

Attention to Filipinos,some are spreading hatred in this blog and yes it is insulting and demeaning if we think about it. This is bullying or just merely racism. As far as hard-working beings, Filipinos are resilient, goal- oriented and aiming for a better life. It's understandable that in this world there are individuals or an individual who will hate other human being no matter what, having self-awareness is crucial to individual's life. Based on the the evidence, Filipinos are one of the best workers in the world. If you work in a Ship as a server, janitor, OFW, Nurses, Doctors, Nanny's, Designers, Miss Universe or any line of work, Filipinos are noted to be the BEST!! not all but Filipinos can be trusted most of the time. Why organization or employers will not trust others? Because some are thieves, lazy, whiners, not productive, and arrogant. Working in cruise ships are not slave working conditions, for as long as the crew agree and sign on to the job. If they don't like it or think conditions are unfair, then they are free to leave. I've been on cruises to the Mediterranean, the Aegean, and the Alaskan inside passage. I've met tons of Filipino crew on these cruise ships. They are happy to have these jobs, imperfect as the conditions may be. NO ONE is holding a gun to their heads!
They are also doing illegal hours and are paid low. They have to act happy or people will complain. They are smiling I. Your face, and going into their rooms crying because they are so tired just to keep you guys happy.

Simple is that. Indians, Filipinos and Endonasians dont ask for more to paid. Becouse blody Rccl doesnt pay any basic salary for the Waiters and Assistand waiters,Hardest workers of Rccl can make money only with tips, wich is there is no rule in the companie for the guests they have to pay tips, its just kind of gamble end of every cruise and after all hard work. Guests can just walk away without paying anything and as a crew member you not alowe to ask your money from them. This is the way how Rccl building very lux cruise ships. All dining staff officialy working with 50 dollars salary per month, this is what writing on the contracts of crew members. Rccl = Capitalism .

I've seen Filipinos working for RCC, when they have shore leave in Ketchikan, AK. I asked them if they like their work, some were ok and others say it is hard work. But if traveling is for you, then apply. I personally don't want to work for them.
