I was thinking some sort of issue at or with the compressor before you even fired it. I had one completely fail on me idling at the dock one day. Took exactly four brake applications to pop the spring brake and that was all she wrote. Road service replaced everything else, then condemned the compressor and asked me if I could drive it three miles without running out of air. Probably shouldn't have done it, but I did it because the carrier had been good to me and I didn't want to cost them a tow if it wasn't necessary. As for that intake removal for bolt clearance, I'm really surprised mechanics haven't taken a contract out on those who design and engineer this stuff. 🤣
@@theotrmechanic3624 If you've ever heard of Adam Sandler, you might be familiar with "Ode To My Car". If not, you might appreciate it... Especially when he talks about his car's designer. Probably not suitable around your 'helper' though. 🤣

Dang.
I'm believe they try to make things as hard as possible to do sometimes.

That's a beautiful Olds. '58? '59? Is that the old 303 engine? Numbers matching by chance?
It's a 58. 371 engine. Yep all matching. 69k miles
