I'm grateful that you always bring guides as soon as raids are out, though I have to admit that your way of describing the encounters, although it may be funny, it's very distracting. I think that if there was only 1 person describing tacts clearly, instead of having two people that keep switching and making silly comments ("Yeah.." "Alright.." "GG" "Well said...") it would be much more efficient as a tactic guide. You always get me lost and have to watch the video multiple times to learn it =/
Thanks for another great guide guys, very helpful! Our Guild Master points all of our raiders to your guides since the beginning of Cataclysm! Best raid guides anywhere on the web!! Good Hunting.
If you are having trouble with movement cause of mines etc. I recommend you trigger mines at the beginning with a healer while healing is low helps later for avoiding them.
For all the people asking for his UI, he has actually made a video about it. Just type in "Fatboss healing UI" and there you go. Like so all of you can see.
What I understood is that, the off tank tanks 1 quilen and since hes preety much far from the other 2 Quilens that the main tank is tanking, he gets a 90% damage reduction. So you don't wanna be dpsing this one, but the other 2 ones. Cleaving and multidoting is great for this fight. It's a share health pull. Hope it helps.
did it yesterday as an attempt for new 90s and i just hit 90 before i went in and we got jasper amesthyst and jade.... it was hard but we just werent geared enough just did it out of boredness but hey its fun
Ok, thanks! I haven't seen Healium before, though I like the look of what he's using cause it seems pretty simple. I just want to be able to see players health, then click their frame to target and start healing them. I'm not interested in binding click to heal and stuff like that :)
the main tank tanks the mob thats doing the pertrufy. the off tank is no more than a control tank that controls the other mob energy so only one petrify goes off. if the main tank is tanking the petrify mob, its energy will get to 100, then he will explode. which clears the pertify....hope this helps
I'm assuming (due to them only having 25-man footage of Jasper) that the 25man has the duration. However I can confirm that on 10man it lasts until broken. Oceanic realms had Jasper, Amethyst and Jade this week.
Yeah pretty much, you should be ok if you have the Jasper Chains, if it is on a ranged they should run to you unless the Jade is on petri you should be fine.
Btw, you can actually stay apart for 15 seconds if you have the Jasper Chain as long as it is the Jasper Guardian that is petrifying the raid, remember you take 90% less damage from that guardians abilities :]
As a RL I love your informative vids...very well done. However, I do have raid team members who would be offended by the language used. I wish I could post a link to these in our guild raid team forum, it would help us extremely as a team. Could you guys consider making raid guides that have limited cursing in the audio so that more raiders can access your very helpful videos? Appreciate you as always.
We've done differently with my group. We had a lot of range so we could afford shifting mobs around a lot. Instead of having just one tank taking 2, both tanks would shift the two. Let's say I have two, and one of them starts to petrify, I leave it at that. If the one that starts to petrify is the one alone, the other tank just taunts the guardian that just overload, so he has the lowest energy.
we grouped the buggers up in the end and nuked em down, had 3 tanks and 3 healers, with the shared damage that the bosses take the loss of a dps wasnt a problem at all as the tanks made up for it.
I have done all the bosses already. Really like everything. Especially Elegon. What about you guys? But when i'm watching this, I'm too damn drunk and I have no idea whats going on xD Love your videos btw.
Its from recount itself m8, go to option menu, select the window tab , on the right site there's a button saying raid dps, click it and this window will pop up
Ummm... When I was doing this fight last week, the Jasper Chains didn't have a 30-second duration. You had to stack the whole fight until Jasper Petrification, or spread in intervals after a ton of healing.
It doesn't matter which one you focus on, since they have a shared health pool. If you can do more damage by target switching or AOE'ing, go for it. Just don't bother attacking the one who's by itself (or in 25's, the two who are by themselves), since it (they) take 90% less damage.
if you don't designate a main tank or off tank it's no big deal. Our group will just taut a single guard over when the single stone guard beings to petrify.. much easier IMO than having one tank taunt one and the other tank taunt another simultaneously. it's six in one half dozen in the other but some people may find it easier to just have one tank making the taunt.
He doesn't mean after the raid is petrified you will take 90% less damage because obviously if the entire raid is petrified it's a wipe. He means while that particular mob is CASTING petrify the raid will take 90% less damage. So for example if the Jasper one is casting petrify it's a good time to break any chains that link two players.
Thanks Superdanowns! I didn'tactually know that. Another question, your Actionbar system, which addon is that. I use Dominos, but I like the aesthetics more on your screen.
It's called 'alternative energy' most UI addons like pitbull and I'd assume xperl, have an option to turn this on. If ya dont, well google alternative energy bar addon?
by 90% less damage I mean 90% less damage from that particulaur mobs abilities while they are casting petrify, whatever they might be depending on the mob
I just have one question. as a tank that's holding two of the quillen at a time which of the two do you want to let go to the off tank when the overload is happening? very informative video guys keep it up
I have a few questions What is that Healing Interface with the green boxes? How do you get the Circles to outline the crystals and is that casting bar that shows your casting time, is that part of the green box add-on? Someone please answer, I am very interested. Thanks
either not enough spirit or he is not using his spells correctly, greater healing wave is your oh shit spell, he should be using unleash elements, riptide, and lesser alot more, and if you're melee heavy chain heal and healing rain. tell him to get Glyph of Telluric Currents so when people are not low and not taking a huge amount of damage he can LB to get mana back
hey guys great vid thanks for all the effort you guys go to, to make these vids for people. quick question my raid team seems to think in normal that the jasper chains dont disappear after 30 seconds. they keep linking the dungeon journal which doesnt state any way to get rid of the chains aside from being apart for 15 seconds. any ideas?
/console cameraDistanceMax 50 But all it does is its sets your max zoom out higher. After you type it in, you still have to scroll zoom out to farthest possible point.
I am gonna have to watch this multiple time. I am a slow learner. But what do u use to make you action bars look like that? And how do u operate? I am a healer too & would love to learn this.. New healer though..
Nice guide - I was just wondering if theres any secret behind our PoV Shaman burning 90% of his mana on the first minute? People werent even low, he just seemed to be spamming, and all rest of his fight, he only had mana to cast shit-heal. Why? Im a resto Shaman myself btw.
Tanks did this fight the hard way. On the pull if the tank with two dogs gets petri. the tank with one dog taunts the petri. dog at 40% energy. After that if the tank with two dogs gets petri. they do nothing. If the tank with one dog gets petri. he taunts the dog who just overloaded. This way of doing it prevents any dogs who are not casting petri. from overloading causing extra dmg. to the raid.
This strategy is just making it harder on tanks in an already tank intensive fight. Easier is to have one tank pull all 3 at start, then once one starts petrifying, have 2nd tank pull one of the non-petrifiers. Once the petrifying one hits 50-60 power, 2nd tank taunts him too. Then its a simple matter of taunting the lowest energy boss when the lone dog starts petrifying. Way easier than this double swap thing they suggest here.
Sure you can they're way more trouble than they're worth. Feels like every time jasper is petrifying he's at 80% energy any way, no point in breaking em. Just buddy up and watch your feet.
Hey guys, reallly love what you are doing just wanted to know if anyone could like clarify the thing with energy and like the switching, what i want help with is when to switch really, it really confuses me. I have done the boss about 3 times already but still wonth take it in, Got help from the raidleader when to in TS3. // Adde would love an response
Mostly our raid's tanks have been keeping the petrifying boss on their sides, taunting the low-energy guardian to it as most of the strategies recommend. How does this compare to Fatboss' strat of keeping the petrifying boss on one side instead? Is the a drastic difference in performance?
i saw monk healz healing at range im a monk healer and i have been doing most healing in LFR with just doing dps healing so idk if healing at range better for fight
Well one way my guild did it is I'm a paly healer, we had a ret, and shadow priest. So if there are too many crystals, we would bubble and soak them up.
any idea if Master's Call will dispel the root effect of the cobalt mine? i'm raiding this tonight for the first time, any positive responses would be great thanks
Ah it's nice to make guides again! Enjoy guys, hope they help.
I miss the good ol’ days of Fatbosstv & Project Lore.
Thanks for the clarification, I actually watched some other videos that helped me understand a bit more.
Well, these fella'
s have been kicking my raid groups ass. Hopefully tomorrow we'll pull this off tomorrow.
We are so back
I'm grateful that you always bring guides as soon as raids are out, though I have to admit that your way of describing the encounters, although it may be funny, it's very distracting. I like the little grid you guys put up at the end. It tickled me ^^ Good to have your guides back fatboss!
It's Recount, just press the (i think) window button in the normal Recount window, and you get to choose wich window you want up :)
If you are having trouble with movement cause of mines etc.
I recommend you trigger mines at the beginning with a healer while healing is low helps later for avoiding them.
"Guess what ya gotta do?"
*Raise my arms and shout* "MOVE OUT OF-"
"The raid has to stack in it."
0.o
"Just kidding!"
:D
Will bring out a video on our new UI within the next few weeks sir. I've made my own package much like the old 4.3 UI.
For all the people asking for his UI, he has actually made a video about it.
Just type in "Fatboss healing UI" and there you go.
Like so all of you can see.

Looking forward to that video.

Loving the guides fellas, they helped a lot last night during raid.

Love how this is posted after we've killed it :D

Ty for your epicness guys!

I got the tactics but sorry to say it get a bit chaotic listening to you at some points
I freaking love your channel. Your WoW guides are the best and they are very helpful. Keep up the good work!
TY guys i couldn't do this shit without you, greatly appreciated
we grouped the buggers up in the end and nuked em down, had 3 tanks and 3 healers, with the shared damage that the bosses take the loss of a dps wasnt a problem at all as the tanks made up for it.
So this is a step up from those Omnotron guys in Blackwing Descent.
THANK YOU!!!! you guys rock! plus the accent is pro. This helped my guild get half the raid down!!!
Thanks for this, my raid git it down smoothly
I have done all the bosses already. Really like everything. Especially Elegon. What about you guys? But when i'm watching this, I'm too damn drunk and I have no idea whats going on xD Love your videos btw.

Rock Solid guide!
As always, a nice guide. thanks fatboss.
TankSpot recently posted a guide showing this method for those who want to see it in action.
It doesn't matter which one you focus on, since they have a shared health pool. If you can do more damage by target switching or AOE'ing, go for it. Just don't bother attacking the one who's by itself (or in 25's, the two who are by themselves), since it (they) take 90% less damage.

did the jasper one tonight, chains were lasting longer then just the 30 seconds said in the video
specially on the elegon burn phase..... hot damn
Great guide guys. Thanks so much

finaly! was waiting for a raid guide from you guys
thanks again fatboss!
none of the annotations are working though
Great video, nice to see you back again ;)
I would like to get ui like that too. :3
Looks good and simple.
@nunya There's this wonderful piece of technology called a Headset, try getting one kthx.
Mogu'shan Vaults summed up: The healers aren't going to be too fucking happy.
Thanks Superdanowns! I didn'tactually know that. Another question, your Actionbar system, which addon is that. I use Dominos, but I like the aesthetics more on your screen.

by 90% less damage I mean 90% less damage from that particulaur mobs abilities while they are casting petrify, whatever they might be depending on the mob
but that also slows dps down, since melee tanks has to run through half the room (while perhaps dodgeing purple pool and crystals).
Great guide, thank you.
What happened to Quantum though?
awesome guide, can't wait for the others :D
Amazing video, exactly what i was looking for, TY a so much, genious...
I just have one question. as a tank that's holding two of the quillen at a time which of the two do you want to let go to the off tank when the overload is happening? very informative video guys keep it up
I have a few questions
What is that Healing Interface with the green boxes?
How do you get the Circles to outline the crystals
and is that casting bar that shows your casting time, is that part of the green box add-on?
Someone please answer, I am very interested.

Thank you!
You can't just stack and ignore the Jasper Chains as suggested in the video -- they won't ever go away. At least in 10 man.
please make a video showing how you configure your UI. I have been trying to arrange my healbot the way you have for a long time!
hey guys great vid thanks for all the effort you guys go to, to make these vids for people. quick question my raid team seems to think in normal that the jasper chains dont disappear after 30 seconds. they keep linking the dungeon journal which doesnt state any way to get rid of the chains aside from being apart for 15 seconds. any ideas?
Went in blind on Tuesday, had Jasper Chains, Amethyst Pools, and Jade Shards are the most annoying combo ever.
We are doing it this way too. I think it puts less on the tank's plate
Healbot probably. I use Healium, much lighter/easier to use!
Great video! Subscribed. Thanks!
I am soo FUCKING excited to be raiding again! and finally be done with DS...
/console cameraDistanceMax 50
But all it does is its sets your max zoom out higher. After you type it in, you still have to scroll zoom out to farthest possible point.
Ty this is awesome!
A very helpful guide, Fatboss. By the way, what is the name of the damage counter addon?
I am gonna have to watch this multiple time. I am a slow learner. But what do u use to make you action bars look like that? And how do u operate? I am a healer too & would love to learn this.. New healer though..
No worries!
Pain in the ass to heal this shit
Love your guides
on normal difficulty, the setup resets each week. If this week you hadn't Amethist, next week you will have it for sure.
Nice guide - I was just wondering if theres any secret behind our PoV Shaman burning 90% of his mana on the first minute? People werent even low, he just seemed to be spamming, and all rest of his fight, he only had mana to cast shit-heal. Why?

ya thats it, ty; was searching percent unit frames on curse and nothing was coming up
Amen to that!

can you make a tutorial on how to set up your interface and action bars and addons :)?
Well one way my guild did it is I'm a paly healer, we had a ret, and shadow priest. So if there are too many crystals, we would bubble and soak them up.
Good guide :)
That sentence works the same way if you replace the words "Fatboss guide" with "WoW raid bosses" :P
and the dagger goes to.... Enchnanter, same thing happened on our last raid
gona get mai firemage and multidot the shit out of this
any idea if Master's Call will dispel the root effect of the cobalt mine? i'm raiding this tonight for the first time, any positive responses would be great thanks
do u need to single target one mob at a time, or do u need to trying Cleave the 2 down?
Dat UI, I think I am an addonaholic. >_> Can not use the normal UI frames for anything. Anyways, great guide as usual
you just earned a sub.!
Thanks :)
