Totally agree with you. I live in one of Manchester's busiest and popular area with faded to almost invisible road markings. As a learner driver i found it really hard to understand roads and give credit to Manchester city council for failure of countless new learners because they do or did mistake on actual driving test because of this
Passed yesterday for the first time with 5 minors after not having any lessons with a driving instructor since 2017! These videos and the mock tests were a HUGE help. Thank you!
@@AtticusDenzil "Without having any lessons with a driving instructor since 2017" Unless his old man is a professional driving instructor you really misread that.
I just want to say cheers for putting these videos out for free, I passed my test about an hour ago and have been watching these videos for a week or so and can honestly say they made the world of difference
I passed today with 3 minors - thanks to these videos 👏👍 I will keep watching and learning from these videos, and will respect all road users, especially Learners 💖 Good luck to those taking a test, and safe driving for the rest of us! 😃
Just passed my test this afternoon with 7 minors. This was one of my major issues when learning but thankfully I stopped doing that just at the right time, thank you.
Just passed my test a couple hours ago. Your videos gave me alot of confidence and so did the ultimate driving course. Finally got my freedom. Thank you so much Pin! Still going to use your videos to improve myself even further
I passed my driving test with almost no mistakes like 2 months ago. Now I was in a couple minor accidents and I developed a fear of driving. So I went from a good driver to panicing driver. I honesly need help..
I have discovered recently that I am very slow learner so this video is really good for learners like me who can rewind hundred times to keep the main point in mind instead of actual driving if a lesson learner like me made mistake one time and don't understand what should do
Way back in my lessons, I almost crashed doing this because in my case there really was another car in the lane beside me. I didn't even notice that I was drifting toward them as I didn't expect it. Good thing I had an instructor in the car with me at the time. They really need to figure out a new kind of paint that doesn't wear away so easily, and slap that down on every road.
I’ve had 15 hours with my driver instructor and we spent 1 lesson on mini roundabouts in birmingham. Also he doesn’t let me drive on main roads his excuse is I’m a beginner driver but every other instructor does. Shall I look for a new one or just wait it out? Thanks love ur videos.
Hello there mate, I think on top of your ultimate driving course (I took the automatic) these 60 seconds driving tip are really helpful for the new / learner drivers. I was wondering if you could do a video on a particular pain point of mine. While parallel parking, how do we rectify the scenario of getting too close to the curb without accruing a serious fault? by that I mean the car is on full on right locked and I see on the mirror that I am about to hit the curb. Cheers for all the great stuff on your channel :)
I wish you had uploaded this video a week ago as I failed for exactly this. I positioned in the middle lane but once I got onto the roundabout, I drifted over to the right. It was partly due to the lane markings being completely worn away
If you’re going straight then stay around a metre away from the kerb on the left. If going right, stay about a metre away from the kerb of the roundabout to your right. Hope that helps :)
I wonder why they dont paint the lines on the actual roundabouts. In Poland its so easy ,you cant go to the wrong lane cause lane is constant from approach to the exit and you always have arrows before entering, . Are they saving on paint or something ? So often roundabouts in UK dont have visible lanes on the roundabout or even arrows painted before entering it :/ really struggling here , Learning how to drive again
Then how about painting the lanes on the roundabout? As a foreigner driving in the UK, I find those unmarked roundabouts are dangerous. Lane indication is also quite late and close to the roundabout.
Today i used this middle lane for the 3rd exit twice. After watching videos on a two lane with same arrows and confusing myself in the morning. That was my only fault frrr!
When will Practical Driving Test be Available for Booking? When I constantly check for dates on GOV all I get is no Dates available for all driving Test Centre.
If the left lane only goes left and middle lane only goes straight when going when going on to the roundabout should i move into the left lane as i exit
in spiral round about traffic light control, you following ur road marking but ur road is blocked by 2 more cars and if u follow them you will be blocking the exit as ur in the mouth of a junction,so is it fail or pass as if u change ur lane then again its fail, what is pass
Is there a chance of booking driving test sooner than the average wait time (16 weeks) and what are the chances of finding a test which someone has cancelled? I would love to have my test in August latest
Can you answer this question please? I been driving on provisional with mum in car for nearly a year now cuz of covid, I don’t thread the wheel when turning but I have full control of the car, that isn’t a serious fault is it? I shown I have control of the car at all times
The number of people who use the wrong lane on roundabouts is astonishing. You got people using the third lane to take the second exit. You have people using the left turn only lane to go straight. Its chaos on roundabouts.
hey pin i was just wondering, if i failed completely to do my set manoveour on the test (for example i was told to do a forward bay park and i parked it way out of the lines) but everything else (observations, speed etc) were done safely would that be a serious or minor fault?
There are no lane markings on the roundabout ! Furthermore, I suspect that the arrows dictating which lane to be in are only at the region shown, so if you're queuing in heavy traffic, you won't know what lane to be in until it's too late.
During my practical test, if I need to turn right but I positioned myself in the middle lane, instead of drifting into the right lane, would it be better to continue straight?
I would on the test yes. In real life you could in theory change lanes if it was safe to do so (no one in the right lane, there's enough time, you indicate etc) but on the test its better to be safe than sorry. Like most things, driving to pass the test and driving in the real world are often different.
Local councils need to make sure that the lanes are painted all the way around the roundabout - too often, they disappear halfway around, so you don't know where you are! Then again, local councils need to do a lot of things involving basic common-sense...
Who ever is watching may you pass your future test
Ameen ya rabbi
Cheers mush
Amen
Thank you 🙏🏻
Ameen my test is on Friday
I think as lanes often faint we tend to drift. I’d suggest freshly painted roundabouts more people care/manage stay in lane
EXACTLY. They all have no lines its so dumb theyre too lazy to paint the roundabouts and are too faint

The problem with this example is that there are no markings on the roundabout itself.
If you could actually SEE the lanes because they were properly maintained, it might be less confusing.

What about staying in the correct lane when the the markings have faded which is the case for most spiral roundabouts in my area
If you’re going straight then stay around a metre away from the kerb on the left.
