Howard was okay, then when Hampton started, Howard looked great in comparison. Couldn't finish..getting dizzy from the chicken dance.

They were about the same to me...but if I have to pick I am going to go with Howard they just sounded a little cleaner...both dance groups had a lot of energy...Hampton has gotten a lot better from before.

As Hampton alum raised in the heart of SWAC ( J-sette) country, I was unprepared for the different dance team and band styles of Hampton and Howard. without any SWAC comparisons, I will say job well done on both sides. Ebony Fire has come a long way 💙

I love my HBCU's, But I know high schools better and bigger than these bands lol. I guess the south is chief when it comes to HBCU Marching Bands.

I’m not in either of these bands but there is NO band culture in the north so our bands are smaller and extremely underfunded on all levels middle school through college most students begin playing in high school up here instead of middle/elementary but there are a few bands up here that are clean and good bands they just don’t get recognition because there smaller and because they don’t scream like Southern
The Real HU...the best rivalry in America.

It might be because I’m from the south but the majorette dance style has to be up north and the band style has to be too. It was a little weird but overall they did good

Howard rocked this......the dancers from Hampton look sloppy. With the dance style of......Alcorn! But since all my fellow black people are getting their EDUCATION ITS ALL FUN!!!!!
I'm sorry... but, WTF was Hampton doing at the end? That second dancer looked a whole mess. Howard sounded better and danced better, Hampton had a good intro that made me think they were going to be about something and I was disappointed.
SWAC for the win 🤷🏽♂️😁 Howard’s band and dance were better here. Both dance teams have great individual dancers but both teams styles need to be revamped and updated. Contain and control that energy. Just constructive criticism🤷🏽♂️ 🤎 all HBCUs

Ask Savannah state and there's your answer. Their were a bit better then Hampton, and Hampton, take out whatever that was in the middle of neck.
Howard incorporates GoGo/funk in Neck. If you don’t like GoGo, it will sound weird to you. I went to HU but I am from the South... I love the South bands and grew up on them but I still prefer HU’s version of Neck due to the extra funk in it. Everyone else sounds flat to me.

NSUMDFS HU sounds the same as they have for years. Smaller band than when I was there but the sound is still there. I don’t see how it’s “bad” unless a person doesn’t like GoGo.

I guess they're both technically "HUs," but HOWARD UNIVERSITY is spelled with all caps. hampton is lower case. and comic sans.
