Beautifully videoed, with great music! I watch and listen while working out on my stationary bike. I've never ridden it so fast! Thanks for this blessing!
My wife and I drove this a few years ago in the SUV. My dream is to ride it on the Harley. You've done a terrific job with the filming and the music, and have really done right in highlighting this must ride highway. Well done.
This is a bucket list ride for me. My wife rides her own bike, but is scared of heights. We rode million dollar hwy and rocky mountain national park together because she is a trooper. But she said I would have to do this one without her...lol
I haven't seen the Million Dollar Highway in person but I believe it might be a bit more intimidating than the Beartooth Highway. Just the fact that beartooth has a lot more guardrail and in most places the drop off without a guardrail is more gradual but pretty rocky. It would be a shame for her to miss out on this ride. Maybe come to Red Lodge and rent a Slingshot so you can both enjoy the Beartooth together.
Beautiful video. My parents just got back from their trip here last week. Totally different experience. Zero visibility, blizzard weather conditions and overall treacherous drive. Several abandoned motorcycles from what they told me. 🥹 I came across your video because I wanted to see what she "would have seen" had weather been different. Thank you for sharing. -Rhianna from NH
Glad you enjoyed the video!. Sorry your parents experience was the snowstorm. I heard it was really bad up there on the first closing. The were more preemptive 2 days ago when they closed it early due to a snowstorm coming. I hope that they get another chance to go over the pass, August has better more stable weather up there.
Hey Lori, I just love your videos; You make me feel like I am right there with ya guys. That was a beautiful ride. Thanks for sharing . Prayers Flying from Michigan for safe travels!
We probably passed you!!! We went over from Cody/Chief Joseph to Red Lodge. OMG! Super day. Then down through Lovell and Burgess because of your recommendations. Outstanding. Used a dashcam to record it all and my buddy a GoPro with some problems he had. In Deadwood now to do Rushmore, Needles, Custer etc before the LONG ride back to Boston. Thanks again
Maybe! What were you traveling in? I am glad that you enjoyed the route. I understand about the GoPro issues, I have them a lot but Im getting better. 😊 Enjoy the rest of your travels, stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed your ride! There was a lot of Bikes up there that day, Did I happen to catch you riding? I try to video the bikes as much as possible.
Thanks for the advice on cameras and filming. Plan to travel this area July 2025. Be riding from Fort Worth. Will practice with a camera and filming well before I get there.
Sounds Awesome! Have a great trip!. Also when I film I just do it in 10 to 30 second intervals, just to catch the good stuff. Plus it is easier to edit that way, for me anyway. Safe Travels and enjoy the Beartooth Highway
Great video. It looks completely different riding out of Red Lodge. I saw scenery we did not see just two weeks ago when we road it. Thanks for the look again.
What a nicely done rendition of that road! I only watched half of it and need to go, but I can't wait to watch the rest! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you! It is an amazing road with spectacular scenery. Also near the summit you can find some incredible Quartz and pink granite melded together. I absolutely love the rocks up there, I get distracted a lot and end up with 50 lbs of rock in my pack. 😉
I reached the summit August 9th at 4pm on the nose. Looks like you headed up a bit earlier. Beautiful day for it. I was probably still stuck in traffic in Yellowstone lol
Going to the Sun is better but those alpine meadows are rare to find in any mountain range - usually it's just tree line to rock! I will have to drive this one day
I ride the pass and Chief Joseph hwy at least once a year. Hands down the greatest American ride. You missed the chipmunks at the rest area and a photo of the bear tooth. Don't forget to stop at "the top of the world," store.
I am working on another video that will have all those things, except the Top of the world store. We rarely stop there unless we are being Tour Guides for family and friends. Glad you get the opportunity to ride the passes at least once a year. It is beautiful up there.
The day we rode in August it was probably 60 degrees, there is generally a 10 degree difference between Red Lodge and the Summit not accounting for the wind which can sometimes be pretty fierce. September can be either nice or snowing, it's best to look at the weather forecast before heading up. Have a great ride! 😊
@@ghostmost2614 I do not use a gimbal, I have the GoPro 11 on a Volta. The setup works good for me on the back of the bike. I just let the GoPro fix the movement.
Thank you so much. On this day I believe it was in the high 60's. The temp can vary greatly. Depending on the weather forecast there can even be snow. I always wear my leather jacket and gloves up there. At 10K feet the weather can change rapidly so it is best to be prepared just in case. Just watch the forecast and Have a great ride.
@@SuperSquitch This ride was close to mid day. As you can see there isn't a lot of traffic, people are generally spread out unless you get behind a camper. Are you from a Metro area? Traffic here is nothing compared to a metro area. Even the most busy days would feel like heaven compared to that.

The video is nice but, difficult to feel the air and the sun, and smell the smells in a video.
