"You give me a time and a place, I give you a five minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes, I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that, you're on your own. I drive. I don't sit in while it's running down, I don't carry a gun. I drive."
I knew the track from the Drive soundtrack. Then when I came to know there's a 15 minute version, being the long track enthusiast that I am, I was so excited. Superb track.
I wish this song could play 24/7 throughout my day. Makes the littlest things seem very important and bad ass. I never knew picking up fresh veggies in the market could be so intense -- then I found this song.
UA-cam used to have a looping option where you could actually play this over and over. Probably moved it to the pay music version or summat. Greedy bastards. It's not their song. Are they giving Chromatics a cent or two for every play from premium subscribers? I wonder.
This group is fucking awesome! I LOVE their music. Not sure how long they been around, but I've been coming across their songs for the past couple years or so and love everything I've heard.
Last week I drove from hamburg to munich at night. Nobody else was on the road, just me and the headlights and I was listening to this song all along the way. It was just amazing..!
Hot damn! I don't know why, after all the times I've listened to the 4+ min version since I found it a couple of months ago, UA-cam did not alert me to this 15+ min version. My life has been a lie for the past 3 months! lol
Wanted this version in the Drive soundtrack, but they only had the 5 min. one. But this gives me an excuse to get a new album from the Chromatics. Great Upload.
Thank you Chromatics - your performance at Primavera made my hole weak!. Loved the way you kicked off the set at the Pitchfork tent with this beast before Ruth took over on Lady. I swear Cats walked towards the stage in time to this sick beat. Like an army of Chromazombies!

ricochet188 theres a big world of ambience and ambient techno out there for you to explore. you could start with Jon Hopkins and Janek Schaefer or Lawrence English perhaps, to name but three artists in a vast field.
ricochet188 if you like these guys..which you should because they are great...for similar sounds, go look up some Massive Attack as well along with Barneyhor's suggestions..
ricochet188 If you want artists, Kavinsky, Electric Youth, College, Timecop1983, and Trevor Something are a few. Check the channel NewRetroWave, they have some good stuff on there.
ricochet188 pandora radio. you enter a band or song and it starts a "station" you can give each song it plays a thumbs up or thumbs down and it gets better at predicting what you like. i found it uncannily accurate
ricochet188 try listening to "Deep Draw" by Chris Zippel/Genuine. Pretty much a more intense version of this. Now I just need to find more songs like this.
I play during every meeting I have, it makes everything people say sound more and important than it actually is makes care for a change about the work being done.
Ohh and let me add. I did see Drive a few years back but it was only yesterday watching a documentary about Mike wallace when this loop caught my ear. It only took a second. It gets right to the point. Check out "Mike Wallace Is Here."
"There's a hundred-thousand streets in this city. You don't need to know the route. You give me a time and a place, I give you a five minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that and you're on your own. Do you understand? Good. And you won't be able to reach me on this phone again."
Dearest Soph mn, this is a high-class and extremely refined beat. Probably to be fully appreciated is required (in general) a deep musical culture, or at least the ability to appreciate nice things.
you're right, humor, irony and sarcasm are also extremely important. Maybe I'm stressed out from a day of hard work. Chromatics playing at full volume in my house. ciao ; P : )
The one and only version - bought this at Spin Records in Oceanside, 2018....... I LOVE SPIN RECORDS. This record, I found new. The owner scooped me right up and said, 'hey, I have a used one, mint'. Geez, he saved me 15 bucks. One record is blue, like the telephone graphic and the other 2nd lp is pink. ....................... dreamy........................................................................
I want to know what the woman is doing on the phone. That is no casual conversation she is having. She looks quite involved with a matter of her and herself with the aid of a voice on the other end. We can say it took her about fifteen minutes until reaching ecstasy.
People have to discover it somewhere since tens of thousands of songs are released every day. Get your mind out of out the clouds and into the real world where practical constraints such as the number of hours in a day and the wide reach of advertising mean that a majority of people will be exposed to songs that are used for this purpose.
Taken was an amazing movie, so was Drive. Now that this song from Drive will be added to Taken 2, the new movie will be so much better. When you listen to this on full volume with a very high quality headset, you can see that there are more than just 4 or 5 sounds. With my Headset, i can hear maybe 10 more. Listen with a headset, it is that much better.
I really can see where Hotline Miami got inspired partly by Drive, with this soundtrack. Unless the music was made separately or whatever. Feel free to correct me.
Coldsteel Hedgeheg yeah i think this music got made for drive, but then got pulled, and another producer got the drive soundtrack, I'm not sure thought so correct me if i'm wrong also
I literally play this during the intense waiting period of your dealer weighing out your sack while in a stupid location at night. Tensions run HOT! SWEAT POURING and fucking this song!

Thats it !
Sounds like you know me
I knew the track from the Drive soundtrack. Then when I came to know there's a 15 minute version, being the long track enthusiast that I am, I was so excited. Superb track.
Where is the 15 minute version please ?
Oops ! I am listening to it !
Driving around at night blasting this song in your car is perfection
I, want to listen forever 🎶
Yeah it's great for workouts.....or paperwork
Freaking right! I'm in the moment bro!
It gives an incredible psychological experience to play the bass riff throughout the song without even dropping a beat.
except for the 4 minutes in the middle where it doesn't?
so that's what it's called? Bliss riff! ?
Incredibly chill yet thoroughly badass
I wish this song could play 24/7 throughout my day. Makes the littlest things seem very important and bad ass.

This group is fucking awesome! I LOVE their music. Not sure how long they been around, but I've been coming across their songs for the past couple years or so and love everything I've heard.
When listening to this in any situation, you know shit just got real.
Gerge : I played this to myself in adverse conditions flying an aircraft.....saved my life !

This is epic. So much love for this group.
This track was ahead of its time! Hi from 2024 August !
Last week I drove from hamburg to munich at night. Nobody else was on the road, just me and the headlights and I was listening to this song all along the way. It was just amazing..!

I played this song to my Uber Driver
He is now my Getaway Driver.
Wanted this version in the Drive soundtrack, but they only had the 5 min. one. But this gives me an excuse to get a new album from the Chromatics. Great Upload.
This is the moodiest song ever, I adore it so much
Thank you Chromatics - your performance at Primavera made my hole weak!. Loved the way you kicked off the set at the Pitchfork tent with this beast before Ruth took over on Lady. I swear Cats walked towards the stage in time to this sick beat. Like an army of Chromazombies!
Their performance weakened your hole ?...
Listen at full speed for a casual night drive. At 1.25 speed if you've got to escape something.
This is surprisingly soothing and excellent background music for my day.

Mafalda Aleixo D:
i love tracks like this.....so simple yet you've got to listen =)
Listening to this when feeling tense and anxious helps alleviate my nerves somehow..
I drive.
So do I.
me too.
I usually walk, hate the traffic.
nobody like it, its at 69
Are you willing to drive against the StealthRider?
For the last 7 years, 3 months, 27 hours, 35 minutes, 26 seconds i've been running
They said when you're wanted man you never get anything in your lite couldn't drop and leave in a moment
No roots
No job
No family
No back acount
Always looking for your shoulder booking for a way out
Ready for your next step into a sprint
Ready for your next breath to be a gasp
Ready to take it beyond the edge
To break the boundaries of what any normal person thinks they're capable of
Weird thing is that if you do it for long enough you get used to it, you think differentely, you move differentely, you are different
You learn to blend in sometimes you can be right up in their face and they never bat and eyelid never noticed, never chase
Other times you slip up they see you, you see them, you stare at each other for what seems like a year and both know it's that time again
Your mind goes to zero to a million miles an hour in a split second but you don't panic, your heart rate goes down, you don't sweat, you breath
You do what you do best
You drive
Need for speed most wanted 2012 beta the chase cutscene
It's the beat that makes it soo good!

That's how I'd talk on the phone if peanut butter was oozing out of it
Lewis Sears clever line.
Holy shit, this song goes for 15 minutes? I've only heard the 3 minute one. There IS a god.
I wish they made more songs like this
Can't decide if a film this good deserves a song like this, or if a song this good deserves a film like that? Either way: EPIC.
This song was awesome in Drive, Great movie, and great song. Very memorable.
I, love my life & this track. 100%
I play during every meeting I have, it makes everything people say sound more and important than it actually is makes care for a change about the work being done.
Oh man I love this song. First heard from the most amazing impactful movie, Drive, then I heard it too on Taken 2. :P
Ohh and let me add. I did see Drive a few years back but it was only yesterday watching a documentary about Mike wallace when this loop caught my ear. It only took a second. It gets right to the point. Check out "Mike Wallace Is Here."
i heard this in cinema on taken 2 today 5.10.2012

This IS THE Heaven Of Music ! I want the CD ! Anybody Help ?
Best Variation of the Original One.
This is amazing. I was doing just the same, playing this song while owning people on BF3, and then i come in here and read your comment!

Music you hear when your Multi Engine Flight Instructor has Hear Attack and you have to get the Aircraft back on The Deck Safely !
wow
I meant HEART Attack Sorry !
Music you hear when you're prepping for your checkride.
Who put a add in the middle the song . Cee u next Tuesday
tick tock tick tock... yeah, I feel the unstoppable power
A masterpiece ♥
Sparked a musical revolution. 😎
music you hear when you're choosing whether to get the store brand's version of toilet roll or not
Dearest Soph mn, this is a high-class and extremely refined beat.
Probably to be fully appreciated is required (in general) a deep musical culture, or at least the ability to appreciate nice things.
One also needs to obtain a sense of humour in life as well.
you're right, humor, irony and sarcasm are also extremely important.
Maybe I'm stressed out from a day of hard work.
Chromatics playing at full volume in my house. ciao ; P : )
All deep shit aside I laughed guess I have no deep musical culture ;)
I guess we must be uncultured swine, then ;D
Magnificent!
It doesn't matter how people find music. As long as they find it. Your thinking is narrow minded. Broaden your thinking. Music is for everyone.
Repeat Repeat Repeat... Amazing song.
I like this music to absorb EVERYTHING flying a 737 Series 800 Simulator ! Great Fun !
It's both. And this fits both of the movies, I loved both..
Powerful tune
The beat reminds of the movie "Contagion" ticking clock of the pandemic.
...ohhh is that cool ' 😉 thank' s for upload
Yep. sure makes ya fell good,I'm 60 and love my music, I just found anouther favorite,
It's played when Bryan is going through the alleys looking for his wife. About 1 hour in the extended version of the film
wash the dishes with this music... just EPIC! :)
WHAT A TUNE !!!!
When i driving my own car for the first time, its going to be at night and i will play this song
I dont know what to do with this Song, but I like it...
jared you are the man!
I feel like I could fly a fighter jet listening to this.
simply perfection :)
Drive is a different kind of movie, people who respect it respect different stuff like 80s electronic music
Drive
That movie is driven by this
The one and only version - bought this at Spin Records in Oceanside, 2018....... I LOVE SPIN RECORDS.

fuck yeah! that's one of the reasons why I worked as a cab driver for a while from midnight to six a.m.!
That Alpha Romeo ad brought me here.
I love this song ....
Drive brought me here first, then Taken 2 brought me back :)
Has this been used for an ad or something? Feels familiar.
People have to discover it somewhere since tens of thousands of songs are released every day. HTC One advertisment in cinema. Thats because im here :)
I really can see where Hotline Miami got inspired partly by Drive, with this soundtrack. Unless the music was made separately or whatever. Feel free to correct me.
Coldsteel Hedgeheg yeah i think this music got made for drive, but then got pulled, and another producer got the drive soundtrack, I'm not sure thought so correct me if i'm wrong also
Oliver Ryan also i know these guys got used alot on the soundtrack for the series "those who kill"
Coldsteel Hedgeheg sorry to go on, but these guys go by alot of names, another is "Symmetry" and "their" music, is what got used on "Those who kill"
This is even better than Krauftwerk Autobahn !
Are you telling me you have never discovered new music from an advertisement or commercial? Whether you liked it or not?? I find it hard to believe.
Except those who love stylistic background music. Cliff Martinez is an amazing artist. There's still a lot of love for Contagion. ;D
It doesn't even deserve the right to be called trash.
That middle bit is exactly what I hear when is quite.
need to try that, cheers!
Addictive tune. Nice!
Anytime in that 5 minutes and I am yours.
Oh seriously, an advert right in the middle?
YAY full version
thumbs up everyone who know this track because of the movie DRIVE and not the HTC ad !!!
Taken 2? wow....gonna see that SOON
This is great. Who is it by, and where do i get their album?
it says in the title and description:
Its by "Chromatics" and from the Album "Night Drive"
***** This joke is fucking played out.
Andrew Gallagher ricky astley
AQGOAT24 I know mate, so is the question. Then name of the artist isn't a mystery it's written on the song. Stupid is as stupid does.
drive brought me here
my drive brought me here
I literally play this during the intense waiting period of your dealer weighing out your sack while in a stupid location at night. Tensions run HOT! SWEAT POURING and fucking this song!
Listen to this every time I sneak out of my house to smoke
This would be suitable as a soundtrack in Burning Bush!! Coming soon!
taken 2 and drive had similar scenes where this song was played, coincidence?
'Drive' brought me here. :)
