good spot there, fish it quite regular myself, only a few minutes drive for me. there are quite a few good spots on that stretch, known as Barbel alley. there are some excellent Roach all along the river as well. tight lines
Wish i lived that close! I'll definitely be back for the roach. I remember fishing Hampton Loade probably 20+ years ago and had some lovely roach 2lb+. Cheers Dan.
@@dansjustfishing3938 if you like roach there are some good roach at another BAA venue just outside the town here at Nordley pools.www.baa.uk.com/where-fish/pools/nordley/ pools 3 & 4 seem to have the best. they are hard to catch though as they seem to be very wary, although not many people get up there.
not a lot of people know just how good a roach river the severn is i know to 3 roach over 3lb in the last 40 years my dad had one 3lb 3oz from ribbersford in about 1973 the great jonny field had one 3lb 1ozs in about 1985 from the town in bewdley and stan lewis had one 3lb 5ozs again from the town in about 1986 ive had many 30lb bags from the town in the winter my best ever is 2lb 9ozs and ive had a few 2 pounders

Nice video, enjoyed that.
The sound seems very muffled and faint though, it’s up to 30 on my tv to hear you.
Keep them coming. 🎣
Thanks, glad you enjoyed. Strange about the sound, maybe my amateur editing? Cheers Dan 👍

I've managed a few 2lb'ers from the Severn in the distant past but a 3lb'er would be very special! Cheers Dan.
