When the show was coming out the rumor was that they ended up killing off 24 because his voice was a chore to do. It was shocking and disappointing at first to see 24 go, but you must keep watching to see what becomes of 21 without his other half. (And as a bonus it may paint The Moppets in another light for you)
I love watching people react to this show cuz it reminds me of how I felt when I started watching it. It's an experience I can never have back but I can relive through videos like this ;^; 100% my favorite show because of the way it is
Thanks for this. I'll just say the moppets get sorted; the characters keep getting developed and the continuity keeps getting deeper. You've a wild ride ahead.
Dont forget to watch ALL the aftercredits scenes. A lot of plot points end up getting resolved in those, at the very least they're more of a great thing.
This is my favorite season not because its one of the greatest or that its the best but its the season that made me realize that I love it, a real deep rooted love that would only grow deeper and it did. The Venture Bros. is my favorite cartoon/show it's a show that feels like it was made for me and that is what the creator were going for, a show made for you, the guy who gets it.
Honestly hatred really is a down point of the show but his evolution and the increased maturity of the writers changes him into a way better character, even if season 3 definitely stains him. There’s only two people writing the show btw, and they also voice a majority of the characters, (Hank, hatred, the monarch, and henchman 24 are voiced by one, and dr girlfriend, henchman 21, and quiz boy are voiced by another, plus a lot more characters)
They said they wrote the show as "i write one, you write one, we write one", and when you listen to their commentaries and hear their individual backgrounds, you can kind of see it in each episode, who wrote what line, doc and jackson have just enough similarities to have identical senses of humor. i prefer jackson as a person, as a voice actor, his deliveries, his ideas for what the show shoulda, coulda, woulda been, but i always find myself preferring doc's scripts throughout the seasons.
Definitely don't like the moppets, but they're a good foil for all the monarch team. Specifically because they're the opposite of everyone else on their team.
You just don't like the moppets cuz they have such authentic British accents and you apparently don't have one at all despite complaining about missing out on Venture Brothers because you live there
5:37 Look Sargent Hatred becomes a more interesting character once he started to work for Rusty and replaced Brock, Hatred is funny af 8:16, Ok so Brock really leaves and for 2 seasons Hatred is the new Venture bodyguard, however Brock is still around, like quit a bit actually, he's just not the Venture Body Guard, he comes back to being the bodyguard in season 6 10:38 ok, that just gotta be your worst take right there, I think that's the worst one, the best one I think is The Buddy System, there's no bad episode in season 3, but like, the Dr Quinn one is gotta be the most forgettable (No way dog, I was commenting as I was watching, and no way our worst and best picked are swaped)
Sgt. Hatred is unironically one of the worst characters in the show, and the writers deciding to make him a permanent and very prominent side character until the last couple seasons of the show was one of the worst decisions of the show- that and simultaneously cutting Hank's screentime really makes those seasons the low point- those two gremlins you mentioned likewise are downers, agreed completely with ya there.
I kinda disagree on Hatred but the way they toss him aside as a character in later seasons makes it hard to completely disagree. They make us care and root for him only for him to become seriously sidelined like "Welp, that's enough of him" and it's really more sad than anything because he's totally still progressing and changing but we don't directly get to see it anymore :(
@@smolmilkybaby3779 I just finished the newest season and while I think the show greatly benefited from Hatred being sidelined- because the endless p3d0 'jokes' were meh at best and awk/gross at worst and they flooded the seasons he was a main character in with so many of them- it really made it feel like there was an actual p3d0 on the writing staff with Hatred being their self insert- it really brought down the quality of the show while it happened imo- That being said- I definitely did notice him basically becoming a minor background character, and especially when he showed up begging to see hank in the hospital all I could feel for him is sympathy cause they really did just make him... basically non existant after his 2~ seasons of p3d0-joke terror, and besides that specific character trait (lolp3d0s?) which lets be honest was like 50~75% of what made his character- he was a decently affable character, its a shame they did him dirty- just like how imo Brock is sidelined in every season after Hatred takes over his position- still, at least they 'mostly' brought him back as a secondary character, a shame though since he was my favorite of the earlier seasons.
hatred starts out as a bit of a weak character, but i liked him more and more as the show went on. he actually became a real character instead of a running gag and the show makes you care about him and his struggles with his mental illness
@@smolmilkybaby3779 Hatred epitomizes what the show is about at its core, a flawed man, made worse by his circumstances, fights for redemption, but never gets it because life gets in the way.
season 4 is the great leap forward, the status quo shake ups you mentioned get followed through on.

Thanks for sharing, this is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time and it's fun to see someon else go through it slowly.
Thanks for this.

You've a wild ride ahead.
I remember hearingthe animation in season 1 was done in the old way manually drawing each cell without a computer in sight.
idk about that but they had a lot of issues just getting animation done back then, the commentary talks about it a few times
Nah man the first season was made in Flash
nobody liked the moppets
I liked their joke lol
Yet they serve a purpose
Dont forget to watch ALL the aftercredits scenes. A lot of plot points end up getting resolved in those, at the very least they're more of a great thing.
The Moppets really grew on me on subsequent rewatches
Did you mean: Stockholm syndrome?
Next season has one of my personal favorite episodes. Episode 12 Everybody Comes to Hank's.
Imo Venture Bros is the only show that gets better every season.
please make more ! im looking forward to seeing what you think of the rest of the seasons and Movie in the future !
I just finished watching the series. It was such a good show such a shame it was canceled. Great video BTW.

I was waiting for this like 2 mounths.
Thank you.
Also what about Venture spetials? Halloween spetial is important for the story.
If only Jonas was just a "comically neglectful" dad. It gets SO MUCH worse.

henchment 24 is supposed to be ray romano
Great review
Hatred is great. And this is coming from someone who hated at first. Mopets are meh I'm pretty sure they arent meant to be liked

Good video!

can kind of guess what episode will be the worst of season 4
Gotta disagree with you on your favorite and least favorite episode of the season. I hope you’ve kept watching and enjoyed though

☝SPOILER ALERT
Come on man.
Come on.

@mr.nobody1081 actually the best take I've heard cuz you're pretty right
Season 3 was still decent, but it started to get weird.
Nobody liked the Moppets, but that was the point. You're supposed to hate them.
