@Dan Wipper hell yes it is. Unfortunate I was jumped on by a bunch of idiots and they got my s20 ultra. I got this as a replacement and for some reason I like it more. The s20 has a great camera but it doesn't have better speakers. This phone feels great in the hands

I find it humorous that people need to be told that a single year upgrade will not blow their minds, especially after decades of that being proven.
While I almost agree with this, there are several exceptions to the rule... There's the leap from the Samsung galaxy fold 1 to the fold 2, there's that from the Tab S7 to the S8 Ultra, there's that from the S20 to S21 Ultra, there's that from the iphone 10 to 11 and from the 12pro max to 13pro max (especially in camera and battery efficiency)...just to mention a few. This is what still breeds hope amongst ppl.

Have had my A53 for a couple of weeks now. It's a perfecty good phone. Got it for $340. My only complaint is with android. I have yet to eliminate all the 'adds' that pop up in some of the apps. Once I get those removed, it will be a great phone...
awesome review...there's this sorcery that samsung has done with the background noise cancellation on this A53 that when you are talking to someone using the phone directly in their ears, the background noise is almost completely silent....even my s21 ultra doesn't give me that
Well, this is just great. I ordered the A53 from Verizon earlier today. LOL. I will be going from an LG V30 to the Samsung A53 so maybe I won't notice any of the cons. I do love my LG V30 but LG won't be supporting my phone anymore. I hope I like my new Samsung.

Dude removing the jack is to make more profit by selling their wireless earbuds same with removing the power brick and soon removing the sd card slot same thing they did with their flagship. Yeah,I really like it and it enough for my daily life not gaming much is ok. It beautiful screen ,good cameras, 5G, IP67 and like your other describe with the reasonable price. Perfect for my 3-5 years daily life use if no problem.
Great review. I agree with all your key points. I bought the A52 8Gb/128Gb this week on discount for only around $300. The A53's deal-breaker for me was no headphone jack, whereas the A52 sounds great with wired headphones and fast charging works with my Xiaomi charger. Cheers :)
Both are good phones, but A53 has imense drawbacks in the box and lack of 3.5 mm earphone jack regardless of Bluetooth ( wirelessEarpods,they intend for users to consider).
I got the usb c cyngetti 25watt charger for my A535G & it supports the fast charging speeds although it does say fast charger connected my A53 takes about an hour to go from roughly 15-20% to 100%

Perhaps, Samsung will release an A53s later during the year with a better Snapdragon processor. Maybe the Snapdragon 870 or something better.
U must be using a different a53 because mine is lag stuttering mess. And the only way to fix this is using nova launcher delete all Samsung apps and disable then. Then for keyboard lag I use Gboard and also navigation bar buttons and no gestures. And scrolling webpages and such that is a stutter fest I turn 120hrz off then it doesn't stutter barely at all. The phone has been a mess to say the least. Slow sluggish lag stutter.

I think for most ppl plastic build phones are better because it seems with so many ppl having those butter fingers and constantly breaking cracking their phones plastic is better since it doesn't break as fast. If ppl would have less butter fingers and actually could take better of shit it would be a different story. I yet in my over 40 years have to drop and break and crack a phone.

a53 better because a53 is new, it needs time to be obtimised, and samsung also said it will update and its graphics, performance, quality, and many other aspects will be improved, while a52s is old and has been optimised, and a53 has a much better camera and battery

Yes you can add a micro SD Card. I installed a 500GB which worked perfect.

A53 5G is very nice device with full day battery backup, 4 years OS update & 5 years security update....
Yeah,I really like it and it enough for my daily life not gaming much is ok. It beautiful screen ,good cameras, 5G, IP67 and like your other describe with the reasonable price. Perfect for my 3-5 years daily life use if no problem.

Had it a day and it's laggy and battery isn't great but then i might have received a faulty handset as it gets really hot when using it.

Must be defective, send it back to where you bought it. Mine doesn't lag but I noticed that my Samsung A30 has a greater battery than A53.

One downside I noticed with Exynos 1280 is the wifi speed. Exynos 1100 is much faster with 4G and 5G connection 😑
