TWO STEPS FROM HELL Piano Suite

- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- This Two Steps From Hell piano medley features selections from 27 of my favourite pieces, transcribed by ear and arranged to form one complete piece. That was the really tricky part, deciding on the order of presentation and how to form the overall flow/structure, particularly when there is such variation in the music. The transcription process was relatively straightforward (hear a note, write it down), and I started by just working through all the pieces I wanted to use in random order. There were originally 35 selections, but a few had to be omitted as I was working on the order and transitions.
Maybe I should also point out for some that I'm not actually playing this piece, it's the playback file from the notation I created in my Finale software. However I did nearly break my piano working this stuff out. Not sure what to do about sheet music at this stage - in its current form it is rather messy with dynamic markings all over the place to aid playback and needs a lot of work on overall layout before I even think about a finalised version. And will probably re-arrange it for piano duet at some point to hopefully get a real performance, so until then it's just an audio video.
So one final note, here's a list of all the pieces used - for anyone who's actually read this far down)
All's Hell That Ends Well
Birth of a Hero
All The King's Horses
Talia's Theme
Protectors of the Earth
Norwegian Pirate
Sky Titans

Compass
Empire of Angels

The End is the Beginning

So it's been great, I had fun working on this one despite stressing over how to get it to work as a whole. And perhaps sometime soon I'll look at doing a 'part 2' featuring material from the new Battlecry album
Sundays are quite perfect day to listen to this beautiful music
So underrated! Other arrangements with higher views I don’t understand why 🤭
I have just met the perfection made music from TSFH *-* By a pianist to a pianist: really really VERY GOOD JOB
Keep up the good work, Cunarder28. The world needs good, talented artists like you.
it"s fantastic!!!Your piano suites are the best in the internet!!!Bravo my friend!!
+George Euaggelou You're very kind to say - thank you very much!
This is beautiful dude. I listen to this to fall asleep every few nights. The strong start and finish with the perfect amount of slowdown and ramp up. And the parts you picked are the most memorable and exciting stuff I know from TSFH. Love it
Probably the best 25 minutes I've had in a while. Amazing job on these! I just love hearing all my favorite pieces together!
You are very talented and this deserves much more views and support. Best of luck!
great work! i'm looking forward to your piano sheets!
Wow! Amazing job my friend. The is a pretty great achievement to transcribe all these EPIC pieces into one colossal arrangement. I love being able to hear this great music on piano. Outstanding work!!
Adam Miller Thanks! And I know you have great taste in music! ;)
Yes. Oh yes. Oh god yes. This is what I want. I need this. Oh, how I wish I could play like this.
Great work! Probably one of the best covers of tsfh i've heard! if you do get the time I would love to have the sheets for starchild and empire of angels :)
This is incredibly well done, and your passion for the music of Bergersen and Phoenix is pretty clearly audible in the result! I'd love to hear your transcriptions of those other eight pieces, though. The new "Battlecry" album will be released in the coming months, so I suspect you'll have plenty of material to work with should you ever consider a Part Two! :)
***** There may very well have to be a part two then! Thanks for your comment. i'll look forward to the new album.
OH compass sounds AWESOME!
gotta like for that =)
This is unbelievably amazing! The fact that you taught yourself how to play it all and remembered it all. There's alot of tracks in this suite that no one else has made covers of, Colin Frake, Sonera and some of Nick's compositions from the Archangel album. I'd love to hear more from Colin Frake and the Sun album. Reanna and Hadrian's Demon are amazing tracks from Colin Frake and Cry from the Sun album is one of my favorites. Just some requests hehe. Anyways, keep up the incredible work. You're awesome!

"Maybe I should also point out for some that I'm not actually playing this piece, it's the playback file from the notation I created in my Finale software."
Ohh okay, it's still very impressive work!
Would still love to hear more of it!
Oh my god! This is superb! I have listened to a lot of piano cover, and this one has just began one of my top three!
Job well done! I was thinking of doing something like this myself. You picked some good songs.
amazing
Just simply wow. I believe you may have broken a piano and thank you for showing how brilliant Two Steps is with all of their compositions. I would love to see if you could transcribe To Glory or is that too many voices for a piano?
First off, this arrangement is excellent. Second, it would be great to get some sort of sheet music, even if you think it's a bit of a mess. Keep up the good work!
Perfection!!! This is so epic. Is it possible to get some sheet or midi?
Thank you! Kind of you to comment. I'm not sure what I'm doing re sheet music for this it needs a lot of work to tidy up and I may re-arrange it for piano duet which would be better suited. So nothing published yet, sorry. It's just an audio piece for now.
@@RayJmusicHi! I know it's kind of random to ask for this 8 years later, but do you still plan on doing something like that? I'd love to be able to play this (even in a somewhat trimmed down solo version)! It's so nicely arranged, the transitions are so seamless, and I love coming back to it every now and then to listen to it.
Are you still listening to TSFH sometimes nowadays? There's so much new stuff that has come out in the past 8 years, and seeing your skill applied to making a part 2 of a suite would make my day!
Verry nice, especially the classic ones. But i also liked the interpretations from Skyworld :) What do you think about Audiomachine? Would they be worth some piano work?
Thank you. I'm not familiar with Audiomachine - but they are on my list to listen to so watch this space, there may very well be a piano piece sometime in the future.
Wonderful! Could I use this suite as a background music of my 3d demo reel? :) I will post it is your cover
Please release sheets please
12:30
Age of Gods full ç.ç ? pleaseeeee
This doesn't have the likes it deserves.
Whats the name of the one at 13:35 and 14:30
I think it's "The end is the beginning" from the SkyWorld album ;)
Can you play the soundtrack from "Gladiator" - Now we are free. :D
Time stamps would have been greatly appreciated. Otherwise this is simply amazing great job.
