I donked up at around the 9:00 mark when explaining how to drift for the second dair on sdi out, meant to say right not left. (the button inputs are still correct though)
I donked up at around the 3:00 mark when explaining the second method of fast falling the nair, I said dair instead of nair.
^ These mistakes will be fixed in a re-upload I make in like a long time when Luigi gets changed or like there is a meta advancement
Update 11.0.1 didn't change Luigi so this combo still works.

Thank you so much for this guide, it was super helpful. Luigi is always a character I've wanted to use but the 0-death was just something I was never able to get. The tips in this video really helped though, and I can now pull it off semi-consistently.
For me, thinking of each hit as a beat of a metronome really helped me nail the timing.
One of the best explanations out there, and the music just amazing.
I love it when people try to stop Luigi.

This helps a lot! I learned how to do the full combo with a nintendo switch lite at normal speed and make it true! Took me a while but I finally can pull it off. I even hit some of these combos in a real online match.

Yeah
to be fair luigi can and does die from a bthrow off the stage at zero so it's kind of ok. It does promote degenerate play tho which is lame.
For one, it’s very slow at 14 frames and two; is easily punishable if you start to read it. Also, there are a lot of other characters with similar combos that might not kill, but will put you in a position to be killed
@@Theplagued Doesn’t mean it’s not degenerate and unfun because it’s hard. Also Luigi grab isn’t THAT easy to punish
Luigi still has an exploitable recovery and struggles with projectiles due to his kinda sluggish movement. If you have a move that hurts yourself, then use it to get out of the percentage window for zero to death.
Blow yourself up with grenades
Play pichu and spam electric moves
Play Kirby and charge that hammer forever
Do whenever means possible to get out of the percentage window for zero to death
Hey milkman it's me J.B. I had a question. So I've been drifting with dair really good and I just wanted to know if it was necessary to short hop before the dair
sometimes the slight delay on the dair from the short hop is not required and you can buffer the dair, but solely buffer the dair will make the combo impossible after like 5%

Hey man this is an amazing tutorial... but one thing I struggle with is finding the best way to input the moves... do you hold your controller in claw? Could you show a video of how you hold the controller and how you press the inputs? Anyway... great video thank you!
I hold my controller in a normal grip and just flick my thumb to the c-stick whenever needed, these videos might help -

I can do regular, zair, and heavy variants for the combo and can sometimes get Uair and Ubair but I can never true combo the nothing one; which should be easy. Advice?

I'm having trouble with crossing up the CPU. I'm drifting to much sometimes. Or I'm not drifting enough with the DI. How do I fix this. Drifting back before the nair is difficult.

you could do it with the a button since the c-stick is just a Marco for a+direction, but the c-stick makes you have more control over where you are and the timing of the dair

Hey milkman. I can pretty consistently do the majority of the combo correctly. But actually where I mess up is the up b. It’s not true the way I do it. I dash up and up b, but sometimes the opponent can get away with a shield. Do you have any tips?

yeah, it's hard to describe the execution of Uair since it is almost 100% timing, so try to practice landing the Uair as low as possible while still fast falling.
For me Mario is always just below the up b kill percent at like 79-80%. Is there a sweetspot on luigis up air?
For characters like that I always just plummet them once after the grab. Also makes it easier to land the dairs

Anyone else just cannot get the fast fall nair? Cause I can hit the dair but eith the button dosent come out and i hit the ground and jab or I dont get a fast fall nair and hit sour spot then fast fall

I'm determined and discouraged at the same time. I can do the first dair but can't get the fast fall to come out and when I do I land it jab. Or I usually misinput dair.
Could it be because you are inputting rising dair? As in the a + jump shortcut. To avoid the shortcut you need to manually shorthop and then almost immediately after input dair so you can fastfall after
Maybe it's because your left stick is sticky. Rotate the stick and blow into it. It helped my fast fall nairs become a lot more fluent.
People always seem to air dodge after my nair so I can’t connect the 2nd dair. Help??
so the problem is either you're not fastfalling the nair properly (indicated by the purple spark) or, you are delaying the second dair too much. I'd suggest simply practicing dair>fastfall>nair to fix this issue.

The closer to the floor you make the Nair before the second Dair the easier the 2nd dair is to connect

The way I learnt to do it is to quickly flick the stick down and then press A to to the fast fall neutral air
Why does my first d-air always push the opponent out instead of hitting them down even though I move the stick out before the d-air?

Good tutorial! Although I think I'm just not cut out to play luigi. My hands are starting to hurt badly after unsuccessfully trying to get past the first dair for fifteen minutes.

Don't give up after 15 minutes. It no joke probably took me like 4 hours to get the fast fall neutral air down, and even then I still stuff it up occasionly.
Ahhahhahahahahah took me a few months actually learning how to pull of the combo consistently, i am now learning how to do very specific combos to be stylish

Nope! Certain characters are too short, instead use luigi’s aerial grab. The timing is way harder but possible
How do you do the Luigi dance thing at the beginning
this works with any character: dash attack and hold A. then walk and move the c stick the opposite direction that you're walking. All the while still holding A from the dash attack.

Maybe don't go straight to the zero to death, i would watch some basic Luigi combos and kill confirms
I can get everything except the ff up air, so i can never link up the up b to the rest of the combo
Try delaying the up air. The moves comes out pretty fast so you can delay the up air quite a long time before you hit the ground.

He probably has stale moves on, you can turn them on in the training mode settings
So is this possible with single joycon?
I first learned it with a single joycon. Still find it easier to this day

Well for me. Train in training mode but TURN STALE MOVES ON. And when you want to try again. Just reset it. Dont put the percent back to 0.
And if your having trouble. Just put the speed low and keep practicing
The combo counter registers a combo as not being true if their is a single actionable frame. But most airdodges don't come out until frame 3 so even though technically the combo isn't true, as the same time it technically is true.

Try to drift away from the opponent slightly during the hitstop of the dair.
Thats because they know how to di out of the combo, you have to adapt to their di
im scared to take the time into mastering it and it gets patched out
There not gonna patch it put
If they patch it out then the character would be scuffed. Even changing a move like up air slightly can make certain combos impossible. And there would be a ton of backlash if the zero to death does get patched as that's the main reason why some people main him.
