I have this exact system in my 2018 cherokee. I just ordered some kenwood 6x9s for the door and some JBLs for up here in the dash. You can't go too expensive of speakers without putting in an amp to drive em, so they are mid range price. I hope to get a decent improvement over the stock el crapo speakers they put in. Thanks for the video, it was exactly what I was looking for!
@@zacharyhernandez8151 So the Kenwoods were too deep for the front, so I put them in the back and got some JBL''s for up front. So I ended up replacing all 6 speakers. It's a big difference in quality and overall loudness. The JBL dash speakers are very tinny though so maybe go with infinity or another brand. The door speakers are all great. Just know that the back can handle deeper speakers than the front. Definitely worth the upbgrade.
@@UndeadBoogiefor your next setup, i recommend using the same brand and same series speakers on all sides. It objectively sounds better when the tweeters and mid drivers have the same harmonics. I think you said the fronts ended up going to the rear due to fitment. What you could have done is disconnect all speakers snd listen to both sets being swapped out in the rear. There is 0 chance they sound the same, one will be more punchy, one will have smoother bass. One will sound sharper, one will have more relaxed high notes. One will start to distort while the other will still be able to stay clear snd composed in the midrange. Most of all you will notice one definitely sounds quieter than the other if the volume isnt changed after the swap. Think of kicker for example. They have a ton of speaker lines. So you could get door speakers that are $40, $50, $65,$90, and $120. All from the same Kicker brand will sound different from eachother The only difference wont be their power handling, sensitivity or efficiency. Likely all will have different tweeter materials and different cone material. There is a distinct sound difference from one line to the next within the same brand on each speaker that has undergone their R&D pre production. So imagine two completely different brands with their own specific series of speakers being mixed and matched. It wont blow up your headunit or sound unbearably bad. Both will produce sound just fine but having a matched series will have a dramatically better sound stage and imaging vs having 2 different pitches of sound playing at the same time.
I ordered these and I'm waiting on them. My sound guy that installed my system told me I shouldn't put them in because it will mess with the stock amp that cane with the car. I don't know if I should return them now. I don't think the car in this video has the package that comes with an amp and sub.
Looking to install new 6x9s in all doors. Did you have to order mounting adapters for the doors? Looking at the rockford punch but wasn't sure if i needed something extra aside from wiring adapters.
Do you have a center speaker? I see the cover like a speaker is hidden. I had a older charger that had the wires ran from factory to add a speaker to center that didn’t come with it so I added another
I just got a KL. I have a component set (Focal) and I will be upgrading the 9 speakers system. Do you think tweeters can fit in that dash area? I rather not buy any more speakers to add.
What speakers came with your trailhawk stock? It looks like you have the premium system and I am having trouble finding exactly what comes in the trailhawk premium system online.
I need a link to how to replace the door speakers, front and back.

This video is very helpful considering that I replace all speakers besides this one LOL
What size speakers went in the doors? Online it says 5.25 and also 6x9?
Do you have a center speaker? I see the cover like a speaker is hidden. I had a older charger that had the wires ran from factory to add a speaker to center that didn’t come with it so I added another
what size were your speakers? 3.5??
Yes 3.5
Did this have an impact on the overall loudness of your music? If so how much?
Yes, definitely louder and more clear and max volume.
