The American television program Spartacus, which was created in New Zealand, debuted on Starz on January 22, 2010, and ran until April 12, 2013. The actual character of Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator who, from 73 to 71 BC led a significant slave insurrection against the Roman Republic departing from Capua, served as the inspiration for the fictional series. Steven S. DeKnight and Robert Tapert, the film's executive producers, concentrated on organizing the events of Spartacus' obscure early existence before the start of written history.

RIP Andy Whitfield. He was what made Spartacus in fact to me when I think of what Spartacus was and look like it was Andy all the way he paved the way for that show once again RIP ANDY WHITFIELD
Holy crap. Jenna Lind was 40 years old during the show??!!!! My god I thought she was 25. She by far is the most seductive cast member with her eyes.
My favorite series ever. Loosing Andy was a big shock, Liam did a great performance and the show was just amazing.

The best part of this series for me was I was studying Latin at the time and my teacher loved using it as reference because they did such a good job that first season capturing Roman civilization

Is there a special section in life when people age backwards? Some of them look younger than when they did the show...😮
First season I was young and in love. After I heared he got cancer and died and a new character would come, it instantly was over for me. Now i watched the first season back and it was oke. Once you start Japanese or Korean series American ones become really irrelevant due to the many sex scenes etc. Its just not fun to watch.
