Can't begin to tell you how proud I am to see someone of your age these days, doing more than playing video games & spending the majority of the day stuck on their phone. It's great to see you creating something with your hands & continuing to pursue your goal of living on your own, figuring life out on your own. You're a gifted young man that many of all ages can learn from. 💯 Tony - California
Beautiful knives ! The wood in their handles is something special ... thank you for bringing us along ! May this new year , and all those that follow , bring you good health , safety and much joy !
At 70 thats the first time I've actually followed the knife making process, thankyou, it was very informative and most interesting.. i was unaware your uncle makes knives altho it may have been mentioned on one or other of your family's videos but def hadn't seen one made. I love sharp knives , nothing better when cooking than a super sharp knife, also being a farm body , sharp knives ,as you demonstrated on wood, are a must. An interesting and unexpected topic that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Your parents mick taught you the best lessons that will see you through life! Real life lesson how to build, create, think on your feet, to work things out & push on with projects 👍🏻 absolutely brilliant.. Dave & Brooke you have done absolutely awesome jobs with Bell & Mick ! Be very very proud 👏
This was Amazing!! I've never seen how to make a knife before and it was So Cool to watch the process! You are so gifted in creating art etc, this was a pleasure to watch!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Mick! I’ve been loving your content ever since I found your channel in last year, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do next. If I had some spare change you bet I’d be bidding on that knife. Both of them looked beautiful, and very professionally made (also, the sandwich looked delicious). It hasn’t been the best year for me, but watching your videos always cheers me up. Thanks for everything. And now I guess I ought to go toil for my food. Until next time✌️. Signed, a random Michigander
Those are gorgeous and functional as demonstrated. You are a young man of many talents. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Happy New Year. Looking forward to your future adventures and videos.
As usual, you never disappoint. You have learned skills that are essential to survival and you could make a living at! Your Dad, Mom and uncle have taught you well! Safety which you have learned is also demonstrated! Impressive and memorable when you return to Alaska! 💕🇺🇸💕
Wow! That was really impressive Mick .. I wish I could create things with you. You are so talented! Hope you're having a lovely time with your family in Michigan. I can't wait to see what you do next year. By the way your hair is as gorgeous as you are - you don't need to do anything with it! Sending my love from England, Baya xxx
This was so cool to watch. And what an outcome - they are beautiful. As you were cutting cardboard, I was saying, but will it slice a tomato 😂 Sourdough bread proved it would! Thank you Mick... blessings to you and your family in 2025!
I truly loved this video. I’ve been toying with the idea of making knives & this video helped me visualize the process better. So, I’m getting more deliberate in my thoughts of venturing into knife making. Thank you. I pray you have a blessed 2025!
Those turned out really nice. Love watching the process. *Video idea: Love to hear more poetry reading by a campfire. Or as voice over while watching more AK adventures.
I love seeing the continuity, of you using your father's tools to make your own. I think it shows creativity and a bond passed from father to son. I'd say this is in the top five videos of yours that I like thanks Happy New Year🎉
SoOOOooyoung and already soOOOOOoo able to do sooOOOOOooo many things! AMAZING parents help...but you had to have the will and character to 'carve' out (all puns intended) a niche for yourself in life and it is fun watching you find that space for yourself. Remain grateful Mic, it's the stuff of a Great life ahead! Thanks 4 sharing...health an' blessings!
You Mick are a very talented young man , I subscribe to your uncles channel and love it You come from a very talented family. These knives you manufactured your self are amazing something you should take great pride in. You could make and sell knives . well done All the best in 2025.
I've carried the same knife for about forty years. Lots of pigs been butchered and the blades been sharpened hundreds of times. Just an old folding knife available in every hardware store growing up.
Yes I haven't old nice that was my grandfather's and his fillet knife and I can't even tell you how many deer or pigs or squirrels or anything that have been processed with them not including the hundreds of salmon..
I'd like to see you get into blacksmithing. It's pretty fun and would be a great thing to do outside in the winter. I dabble in it and have almost finished my first knife. Just need to finish my jig and use it to set the bevel and grind the edge.
This is funny. I just created a knife with my old HS teacher so I could have something kick ass for my Alaska trip coming up here soon. I experienced Alaska in the summer and now I want to experience the winter and I thought, I need a good kindling knife.
My husband said something about annealing. Anyway these are gorgeous. And work! You are talented. I think there is an 80s song called Micks Blessings. I can’t remember if it’s good I’ll go now. Oh and the sexy bread music lol loved it
Can't wait to see the 3rd one! What beautiful knives you made! Someone will have a great knife 😊I'm afraid my bid would be an insult(kinda poor!) So hope you get a good price for all your work! Have a blessed new year!❤🙏🏽
Tell your dad to visit a trailer sales and repair shop and ask for broken trailer springs! They give them away for cheap or free in my case! They're great for making Hatchets, froes, knives, and lots of stuff!
Beautiful knives! I know where you are it is a bit of a drive into town but it would be great if there was a kind of co-op workshop where guys like you could go to use the tools. Usually there is a small annual fee. My brothers town has one and he uses it a lot for metal work. Again, great job. And thanks for the video.
I enjoyed watching. Both knives were very nice, but I do like the one with the maple handle the best. I noticed that is the one you are keeping for yourself.
Had to pause to say, these are beautiful!!! There is just something about making your own tools! These are going to be phenomenal heirlooms.
