have you ever thought of making a discord so folks can talk to you without spamming your comments & send you links to videos without the comments getting blocked?
I don't know! I tried to make a Discord server for a website I used to be on, but then I forgot about it and made another account for myself a bit later. I don't think I'm super reliable when it comes to social media and chats and stuff, as you can see. If there is an existing group for people who like Disney sounudtracks, I would consider joining it
can you send me the italian midi? im thinking of using its accordion for a mexican styled track based on one of the tracks you hear in epcots mexican pavilion.
Hi, this is kind of a funny request but can you create one after the Hmong ethnic minority from Southeast Asia please? We're one of the biggest ethic minorities in East and Southeast Asia and now we're found as a diaspora around the world. There's a big community of Hmong in Cali and Minnesota so it would be nice to hear what it would be like to be included in the ride because sadly the Asian section (especially the Southeast Asia section) is way too small compared to how diverse and big Asia actually is lol. I would like to imagine that if Hmong people were included we would be between the Southeast Asia scene (represented by Thailand and Bali) and the East Asian scene (Represented by Japan and China). Because Hmong people are originally from china but now we're mostly Southeast Asian.
I will try! I am in California at the moment but I don't know anyone Hmong irl, but luckily there is a lot of Hmong traditional music (instrumental especially) featured on UA-cam if I search for it.
Poland and Angola are set for v2! I've got Malaysia and Portugal planned for that too, but I haven't made them yet. I can (try to) do Nepal, Algeria and Fiji - there's already a Vietnam custom remix ( ua-cam.com/video/BtRY2k8OhkE/v-deo.html ) and I think for Austria you can use either the German band or Central Europe (Poland/Czechoslovakia) audios: Bavaria and Austria share similar musical customs
i think the first track was only meant to represent argentina, because the original 1964 spain audio featured a guitar in the first verse, so it morally wouldnt have made sense to have a guitar overlay when there is already a guitar present. it only was present in the spain scene sometime after february 1992 and still happens to be there for a reason i dont get. edit: itd be mean of me to not say this, i love these tracks
That is a good point, most of the new tracks for the WDW version accompany the vocals in the languages that the ride is already in (Big Ben sound for UK English, Italian band for Italian, Swiss bells for the yodelling, Japanese music for Japanese…). I don't know what the thought process was when they designed the ride for Magic Kingdom so I can't say why they went with that. Because Spanish isn't sung in the Spain scene, you're right that it was definitely meant to accompany the Spanish audio in the South America/Argentina part of the ride but as Spanish and Latin American music both feature a guitar being played in that way it now represents both, even in 2024. And thank you!
It is supposed to sound as close to the original as possible. I couldn't get that "sound" with just one instrument so I used 4 'classical guitars' and 1 bass guitar.
I wish I could but I don't have the vocals as separate tracks. I think some people posted some vocal tracks on here that they isolated from the music tracks by themselves, but I would not want to use other people's audios. You could always mix and match them with other tracks in something like Audacity though!
A lot of them actually. I'll post the list of soundfonts in the form of an image. I mix and match so I don't stick to one set and the instruments come out sounding a bit more varied. The last one, "Symphonic Sounds.sf2", I just downloaded the other day. It has a nice bell sound that sounds very Disney-esque -- goes by the name of "Crotales". drive.google.com/file/d/1bL3xP2qnfONtwa16hnnmW1R0vXrrgSZ9/view?usp=sharing
Probably not, especially since the holiday season is too short to do a bunch of old/new versions! Everyone seems to be doing their own versions (which I think are all great) and I think I even saw an unofficial soundtrack posted just after Christmas, track by track.
Those are the closest approximations we have. I think they were going for a "generic Centra/Eastern European look" for the former although I think the girl in the Paris picture is dressed as Poland, or perhaps another culture that does not like to be confused for Russian. And it is kind of odd that Cuba or any other Caribbean country isn't exactly in the WDW version considering how close Florida is to the islands, but again Brazil and the rainforest were the closest ones
I actually have the new Disney-themed tracks composed already! They are in John Debney form (I did this for fun a while back) but I can quickly post a version of those as an unofficial Volume 1.5.
I do have some of the other tracks composed (which you can listen to in the Flow-Through video from last November) but it's not enough to make a second volume just yet
