what i also know concerning the origin of the Ada name is that Ada means ''to seperate'' this came as a result to how they seperated from their Ga brothers, because they said they loved the place they are now. They were led by a leader (Priest king) called Nene Adi( whose descendants now hail from the Adi-Bia-We clan at Big Ada, Adi-being the name of their Ancestor , Bia-literally meaning the people, We- literally meaning home/house or clan. De first group to cross were Nene Adi (the priest king ) & his ppl followed by lomobia we ppl , Tekpeh bia we ppl & Dangbe bia we ppl being de last for de Ada ppl. Other Dangbe groups crossed later on
So because Adibia we ppl were the first to cross dey den become de key holders (literally de gate openers ) for Ada ppl & adopting de crocodile as their symbol thus the crocodile with de key in its mouth

Kabiawe is the least among the ada clans. They were captured from the wars. The four indigenes are Adibiawe, Terkpebiawe lomobiawe and Danmebiawe with Adibiawe as the war leader and Obuampon as the spiritual stool hence he leads in all activities. The four clans are known as Okorli. Kabiawes were circumcised as per the Jewish customs because Adi is a descendant of the tribes of isreal . Check from the book of Chronicles. More to come later. The word ada doesn't mean fight but rather warlike or warsome, the dangbe people never fought the original ewes who are the landlords of ada land but rather the original ada people were ewes who settled at kudzragbe
