It is a Hexolux. It's a pretty old light as far as LEDs go. The color is better on newer gen lights. You just want something with an umbrella mount realtively close to the COB. Umbrellas are so much better than softboxes except for spill control. If that's not essential, umbrellas are cheaper, smaller, lighter, easier to set up and can also be used as an umbrella (duh). Another banger from you guys!
I do emotionally feel that the deep umbrella give me a little more directional control vs shallower types. That said, your comment gave me an idea for rigging a grid up to an umbrella! Then umbrella gang will be undefeated! Thank you!
