- Today I'm sharing a yard sale haul and some DIY upcycling projects! I'm transforming some blah pieces into antique farmhouse decor. I also discuss the move towards cottage core decor AND refinish an adorable end table using Dixie Belle Chalk Paint & Dixie Belle voodoo gel stain. I've been enjoying using the Iron Orchid Designs stamp collections....today I feature the "butterflies" stamps and they are so beautiful! Some fun trash to treasure transformations! Don't ever quit collecting or crafting while your babies are young. It will keep your mind active and it's a great craft time for the kids as they grow! I know, I had two boys. A lady once asked me why I kept doing my stuff when the kids were little, I told her if I didn't, I'd stagnate!!
I completely agree! Helps me feel productive....I like having a finished project every now and then. I'm busy but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Yes I am hearing a lot about cottage core. Now I know what my mothers style is-she has always designed using this style. Don’t worry about children interrupting-it’s what makes it all so charming! You handle it with grace and calmness!

Something to help you with removing vaneer; place a slightly damp thin towel over it and use a iron on high steam for about a minute. The vaneer pulls off easily! LOVE that table!

Great finds! Never label style but my home has been cottage/ vintage and mixing keeps it fresh. Too many tubers are cookie cutter. Love your videos! Sweet baby🥰❤️🙏🙏🙏
Cottage core is a bunch of everything!! I think I’ve always been cottage core. Lol I love a little bit of hand sewn items, quilts, my grandmas rose dishes, flowers natural and dried. wooden items. Also collections of things.

The more I learn about cottage core, the more I am convinced that I just need to pick up what I love or make it over into what I love and then add it to my decor and chances are it will fit snugly into cottage core.
My style overlaps into farmhouse, French country and even a little granny/shabby chic, but then isn’t that overlap there already?

The white table (with those beautiful legs) turned out gorgeous! Love the stained wood top (after removing the veneer) with buttercream paint. Stunning. I’m envious of your lamp also. The shade looks to be in excellent shape! Lots of great finds/treasures. 🤗

I am not surprised the farm house style is on the way out. The absence of color sealed it's fate. Haven't heard of cottage core, but have been hearing the style I have been doing for years as "Grand Millennial". It's the use of color and plants and florals and gallery walls and lighting and cherishing the things and ways of the past with a modern touch. Your booth items fit much of that style and your baby is just adorable!

I grew up with Laura Ashley in the UK, I loved their fabrics and furniture! It has transmuted gradually over the years always have that style as a relaxed coastal style! Staging props are always great to have and really add to the overall look!

Nice job on the table (and doin’ life on video with kids in this crazy world). It gets easier. 😆 I personally love the basic farmhouse style, but I’m much older. I laugh whenever millennials say it’s going out since it’s been around for thousands of years. Like clothing, home decor styles go around every so many years, but wood, plants, ironstone and neutrals of Farmhouse is my fav. Granny chic and overly floral cottage is too busy for me, but the more basic cottage is lovely.

Yes “Cottagecore” is what all You Tubers have changed their language too. And they way you described it ....I guess that is the direction my decor has been also. Some add more “floral” to the mix. I prefer the “ferns, herbs, earthy greens and delicious wood tones ”.... That picture you painted the frame green on is so gorgeous !!! Great call on color ! Of course I adore that Hutch!
I would say half and half... still lots of white in the decor such as walls..but bringing in the “cottage feel”... Totally agree about the “Pride and Prejudice “ AND “ Sense and Sensibility “... their little stone cottage ❤️ And their walls were white!
Your one Basket with the wood bottom makes me think of the Nantucket Baskets, but I think they place a seal saying their brand on the Baskets.

Hello from our farm in New Hampshire! Nicole ...new to your channel. Found you when my smoke detector decided to sound off once at 2am and made a cup of tea. I have not heard of Cottage Core. That is a good way to tag Farm House. We built a new house at the base of our family farm in 2016. My lifestyle and theme is between 1920 and 1940 rural Americana, so I am enjoying your "finds".
Please do try to post more videos. I will follow your channel with interest. If you have an email address, I will send photos of our working farm and some of my finds. I use a 1930 Home Comfort kitchen wood stove in the winter months. Found a 1927 Hoosier baking cabinet that I need to restore. Just restored a 1900s Faultless treadle sewing machine. Turning our modern house into a working Vintage farm cottage. The great thing about buying functioning antiques, is that I can justify them because I use them! Cheers! ~ Diane
