The first annual Chazaq 3v3 Tournament will bring family & friends for an exciting and competitive tournament taking place on the 3rd floor in the North & South gym of the Queens College Fitzgerald Gym.
The 22,800 sq. ft. facility boasts 30-foot ceilings and a built-in, 1,200 person seating capacity. The gym can host up to five, hardwood basketball and volleyball courts, making it ideal for tournaments and championships. The facility is also Wi-Fi and wheelchair accessible.
The North Gym is located immediately adjacent, allowing for the flexibility to expand to an all-encompassing 41,800 sq. ft.
Tournament Structure:
All tournaments will follow an identical tournament format. Teams will play five 12 minute games each against five different teams in round-robin play. Games will be tallied individually . Following round-robin play, teams will be seeded and tiered based on their overall round-robin record.
Elimination play (ie: the "playoffs") will then follow with all tournament teams segregated into 2 tiers. This will allow multiple "championship matches" (and " champions") within each tournament.
Playoff matches will be 15 minute games. All play-off matches will be single-elimination.
Scorers tables will be set up in close proximity to all courts to ensure that all scores are recorded in an organized and timely manner. Professional Referees will be managing each of the games.
Celebrity guest Basketball Player Ryan Turrel will be meeting all the participants of the programs and giving a clinic to the public as well as a Meet & Greet during lunchtime where he will be taking pictures and signing autographs with the players and fans.
