Good review and I like the pace. However, might be better to lose at least one abbreviation ( NVH ) and just say Noise, Vibration and handling. I look forward to your Equinox Hybrid review. Thanks for the video.
I was in Seattle recently and rented a 2024 Equinox. Interestingly, when I was getting the vehicle adjusted to me at the rental garage, the headrest pushed my head forward, and I had to recline the seat further than I liked to solve that problem. Otherwise, I liked the Equinox a lot, but I think my experience with the headrests would stop me from purchasing one.
Second dislike is definitely a saftey flaw. Someone's gonna think you're turning a certain way and accelerate accidentally into your direction and cause an accident
I own a 2019 Equinox with the 1.5, in certain situations i wish it had a little more power. As you may already know. the 2025 Equinox in China offers a PHEV 1.5 liter turbo engine. I bet a version of this powertrain is soon offered in North America. This makes sense because GM also announced that they will be offering PHEV's again.
Not sure why GM got rid of the 12v adaptor in the front console. When it comes to getting a new vehicle, it comes down to what you really need vs wants. I've never liked the auto hvac thing as I prefer to set the fan speed and such myself, but that's me. I've had an Equinox since 2018 (now have a 22 RS trim level) and for the everyday consumer/driver it works just fine. The stereo part, ya I get it, but I just go into the system and adjust sound and balance accordingly and it's just fine, but that's just me. When it comes to new cars and tech, it's like getting a whole new phone and not liking some of the new features and or layout or where they now put certain things. But in time you get used to it and move on with your life as it were. Some car makers don't even have physical buttons, it's all screen. Odd how the volume button stays LIT and the turn signal issue. I've never noticed it on my 22 as that might be a new model thing.
After I drive mine at night for about 15 minutes, all my dash lights turn off, and the little wheel used supposedly for how bright to set the dash light, doesn't do anything. What the Hell is that?
I think a lot of your complaints are specific to your car. Most people have no interest in the premium audio or Super Cruise. I have a Z71 Traverse and it's not doing the things you are complaining about. I think your vehicle has some issues. The one thing I would like to see is hood struts rather than prop rods.
Good video topic choice. I see this old tired Equinox pump gas segment as dying out sooner than later. The electrified propulsion Equinox segment is much more exciting to drive and much less worry to cause issues to its owners unlike this weak pump gas version. The 2025 Equinox RS only has one limp mode to offer and is not good for active economical daily use.
Excellent video! Lots of important information that all potential buyers NEED TO KNOW!! Well done!
Nice to know information. Makes me want to hang on to my 2020 one for a bit, maybe they will get some of the "dislikes" ironed out.
Not a big issue, but why did they eliminate the turn signal indicators on the side mirrors!

Got a ‘25 RS AWD loaded on order, power train ok for this 77 yo 😊

It would really make more sense to do what Honda and Toyota do with hybrids versus a plug-in, imo.
