I have lost my passion for music and guitar since last summer. Everything sort of fell a part beside teaching music. New passions appeared in my life such as reading a lot, yoga and learning spanish. Still, I have been looking for the passion for music badly. I dedicated my camino to my mother, reconnecting with her after she being 8 years in prison... Those times I had chance to see her couple of hours each year so it was a great idea to walk together. After few days of walking, we have connected great but it was still hard to find my passion until the big question appeared in my mind. What to do with my passion if it is back? I had no plans. I started to make a bucket list for music...
During the walking when we came closer to Fromista I recognized a little albergue church. I was like "I have been here 4 years ago!!! 😃"
I was at Fromista then, we were performing with my teacher Enno Voorhorst, the world premier of a composition for Camino written by Jorge Morel. Federico was giving a tour that time showing us the villages . By coming to that certain Albergue after walking 365km I felt lightning and went back in the past. I remembered how I was in love with music and passionate. More we walked we came to the magnicefent church in Fromista. The one where we performed the world premiere.
I decided to reach Federico Sheppard he told me to stay one more day in Fromista for the guitar concert of students of Rene. Before the concert Federico made announcement about me and my mother walking the camino. They gave flowers to her. It was very special because that time I played a concert for her when she was in prison. Now we were walking together on the camino ...
Around midnight we all went to monastery from 14th century with a group of guitar students. Absolutely amazing out door concert by Rene. Candles, wine and full of stars shining on the sky. Next day I was getting closer to my passion and feeling the love surrounding me. Yesterday there was a music event in the Albergue Santa Maria in Carrion de los condes. Nuns were performing music, it was like the voice of angels filling my heart. I was invited to perform in the Albergue for the piligrams all of the sudden without any preparation. Here is the video of it. I haven't been practising guitar since last year, but I still have it in my fingers of many years which I gave for music.
