Why did Raven accept SK’s second proposal when she hemmed and hawed and never gave an answer when her friend who asked her, “Are you feeling like he’s someone that you can have a family with and really have and invested future with?” Raven looked away and went, “Hmmm?” Like, hello? She obviously wasn’t sure. It makes no sense.
She was in love. A lot of us have made similar mistakes in the past. She's human afterall.

Raven had a part to this. Watching the video she was not into the relationship and she seemed she wanted a guy who was financially out there. She was not into SK from the beginning more of getting famous. There was no chemistry. She only cared about the money. I am not a fan that SK cheated and lied but I believe there was no relationship between them.
I think that may have been the case in the beginning but she definitely fell for him in the end.
SK is a smooth talker. And smart guy too. With a successful career and he is quite intelligent.

At first, Raven seemed like someone who could be a villain if this was a movie. I expected her to be a cause of rift, especially between Nancy and Bartise (the guy showed his true red flag self when he became obsessed with looks and insensitive in his words towards Nancy especially about Raven). But through it all, while she seemed stand-offish, Raven was actually well-behaved and even practical. It was really commendable how much she agreed to put up with the requests of SK's family to adhere to a lot of their Nigerian traditions for the wedding. There were things she wouldn't give up, but while sounding selfish, she did have a point. It was SK who didn't tell her early on about living separately after the wedding. (Now, we know why he was so okay with that.) It could have been discussed before he proposed. That was lying by omission.
The NERVE of him to humiliate her in front of guests and, well, the entire audience of the show by saying NO. AS IF he was a prized catch. The least he could do was to call the wedding off before it happened. SK is proof that players come in all colors, social standing, financial status, even looks ('cause for real, he wasn't much of a looker. Dammit, I WAS rooting for him but he scammed all of us. He could have been a good example of a good Nigerian man. Instead, he tarnished his country's reputation even more. A good opportunity was lost.

Raven is gorgeous. I think some women date down thinking if you date someone 'lesser' you'll be appreciated more. Trust me, it does not work. I don't know what it is with these guys but when they land someone way above what they should be able to get they use it as a springboard.
