Aha! This also explains why my clothes were struggling to dry when placed near the fire!!! I hadn't realized the heating system changed.
Very good cooking guide. Double improvised fireplace is a great workaround for grill for now. I personally don't want to maintain two fireplaces, but I use grill as a boundary to understand how far I need to place steaks around fire depending on its strength.
I thought Goat is the best type of meat because it has less amount of fat.
Also seagulls and chicken has the same nutrition value. But you can eat seagull for more small pieces and it's easier to find seagull than a wild chicken ;)
For vitamin D in current version canned sardine are now the best way to replenish it. But bleak fish was also good, dunno about current version.

I played with this for hours and figured out that moving the meat refreshes the state it's in and therefore you won't burn food. I was thinking about making a guide to explain it but here we are! Luthais to the rescue!

You can easily burn food even by moving it around. Dont know how you concluded that cause we're supposed to move (as in, flip) the meat to cook both sides so to speak.
@@thatdude1435 you can easily burn the food when you're fire is completely full of wood. Doesn't have as much heat when it says 5/10 on the fuel

Thanks for doing this video. Myself and a lot of people on the server I'm on where having
this problem so I busted my butt to figure it all out. In the end like you I decided the fireplace
was better than the fire ring but I didn't think to use two if them. With the barbeque not working
I came up with building a stool on either side of the fire to lower the meat to the heat source and
that worked. Then I realized I could use fat to feed the fire and there we are. This makes it easier
than me having to explain I can just direct people to your video :)
Right now I'm having a problem building carbs. I used to cook rice for it but that isn't working now.
And so far spaghetti is the best advanced food followed by Bean Stew but I have no idea how to
get the game to produce it without using the console.
Buy Pasta. Lasts a long time.

Where's the rest of the food? And skewers are the best way to cook the meat for the return per serving. Also cooks faster
you had an audio cue too when moving the meat after it went to 0/10 heat range.

From what I have seen and tried, you can only salt "Steaks".
Looks like it yes.
Steaks of all kinds are salted after. But you can salt sausages etc as well when you craft them.
I have been watching your stuff... and I have a suggestion.
I think that you would see improvement if you worked with a script and edited more. That said... a longer video feeds into the methodical and careful approach that this game needs in order to survive.

I know you said nutritional benefits are the same, but does slightly cooked meat store differently to cooked? Cooked last longer perhaps?
That I havent tested but I keep my meat or fish fresh with salt and then I cook it when I want to eat it

Different animals provide different nutrients. Also if your meat is rotting, it looses calories that you can consume.

Your need to lock pick it with a lock pick and screw driver. Bobby pins can be turned into lock picks.

This was good now I know lol the server I play on they slow the metabolism down so you don't have to eat as much it's always nice!(scumdums) incase anyone else finds eating and drinking a bit to high

You cannot salt all meat but if you click on the meat to get the red square and you click on the salt then you can right click the meat for a salt option
