Really great video bro. I have a 2019 RS AWD and to be honest with you i think the extra 12 HP is worth it for about $280. I have a 2019 CTS V and now dyno at 705 HP with a few engine parts done and with the K&N Air intake, it doesn’t add a whole lot but it defiantly looks good under the hood at many car shows ontop of giving it that unique sucking sound lol. Someone in the comments mentioned how you can always replace it with the factory intake before going in for service and they cant call you a liar. He’s absolutely right. Your video has been very informative and interesting. Keep it up bro and let us know what you think about it
@@TheSnyds Look at the oval seal on the bottom of the hood. That seals the air scoop from the front of the grill to the air filter. At speed that will actually compress the air going to the bottom of the filter. Plus the incoming air in front of the grill will be cooler than the air you are scooping non-compressed behind the radiator. On a "normal" car I might see the mod but not a Blazer set up from the factory to do a better job get cool air to the air filter.
I see what your saying. But this also has a rubber seal at the top of the new heat shield. This would solve any heated air getting in. But def something I'll look more into. Thanks!
Great video, I was wondering if you were going to do a follow up video on your thoughts on the mod. I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 2021lt,and was wondering if it was worth it
I want my red one back goddamnit. I don’t know what’s going on with the 2021 blazers but something happened with mine where all the system started screwing up the sensors weren’t working and now the engine is blown. I’d be careful with your first oil change. Make sure your sensors are correct. Go to a dealership so they can’t say that somebody else did something wrong because in my case I have video clip showing that the place I went to did everything perfect and it still messed up.
How is the new intake working for you? Have you had any problems or anything that negatively affected the driving experience. Also, K&N are out of stock on the 2021 3.6L V6, would the 2019-2020 K&N air intake work for the 2021 blazer?
How is the CAI treating you? I’m waiting on mine to come in. Wondering if you’re still enjoying it. And if you did feel a power increase or something along those lines
Great video - very informative and easy to see. Would this void the manufacturer warranty if the car is under 36k miles? What real world average MPG improvement did you get? Thanks much.
It honestly depends on the dealership. Some don't care and some do. But as far as MPG go I got about 1.5 mpg increase haha. Not much but the torque feels to have picked up
Do you know of anyone doing a exhaust mod on the 19 or 20 V6 Blazer? I wanna do one but its kind of a one shot deal for me because I'm to cheap. 😄 Is there a video of the exhaust upgrade? Thanks
Would adding an exhaust void any warrant or is that more of a call chevy up and see question. Because I just recently purchased a 2021 already have the intake now I want the growl lol
Hi, I'm from Colombia and I installed the K&N intake on my Blazer RS two weeks ago. It seems to me that everything was installed correctly, I carefully tightened all the joints, the sound and acceleration improved, I think it slightly increased consumption. What I have noticed and I don't know if it's normal, is that every time the car is running and going at low revolutions, I hear a sound like a hissing in the engine. But when I go full throttle or rev up I don't hear that hiss anymore. Does that happen to you? Thank you.
Yup that's normal! It's just the air flow you hear, you don't hear it at greater speeds and full acceleration due to the engine/wind noise at that point
As a fellow Blazer RS owner, I don't have a problem with aftermarket mods (the LED front side marker lights were ON POINT). However, as a mechanic I can tell you this: 12 extra horsepower and 15lb ft torque extra isn't worth voiding the warranty on a Blazer with only 4000 miles. Sometime in the mere future, you're going to get a Check Engine Light, and it will have something to do with the aftermarket mod you did to the air intake system. When you take it to the dealer, they're going to tell you the thing that I just said about the Check Engine Light, plus it's going to cost you money to fix it, because (as I said before) when you made the mods, it voided your warranty.
Appreciate that insight man. But there are protections under the Consumer Products Warranty Act of 1975. Trust me, I beleive in protecting the warranty 100% haha. Ive done a lot more to my other car with no warranty issues. But you still have a solid point to others.
i work in service garage at west herr chevy in new york, you can just put the factory air box back on and say you never altered with the thing, they cant call you a liar unless there is clear proof of an aftermarket part. i see it happen all the time
I just got a 2021 blazer RS and your videos are the best for stuff! Thank you!!
I appreciate.
The video I have an Acadia, And I'm really thinking about getting this kit for my V6.
Just got a 2021 Blazer RS. Black on Black. Definitely could use a couple extra HP. Thanks for the videos.
No prob! Congrats btw
hell YES! Lol...Gotta get. Thanks for the vid!
No problem!

Thanks buddy I'm use this for my xt5 install 👌🏽
No problem!
Excellent. For the next video: How to change spark plugs! :)
I can def do that!
The blazer has a built-in ram air -cold air intake. It is far better than your mod because the air comes in in front of the engine compartment.
This still allows for that plus the extra air the cone flows in

Great video and very informational. Did you disconnect the negative battery cable before installing?
Sure did.
I cant decide if I want to get this one, the afe or the airaid intake, the last 2 are in a protective box. Very nice video
Thanks! Yea at the time this was the only option. I do love mine though and it's nice an appealing to look at haha
Great video, I was wondering if you were going to do a follow up video on your thoughts on the mod. I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 2021lt,and was wondering if it was worth it
I can def do that. We love it personally and theres no issues

Sorry to hear! I actually did our own oil change after the 1st dealer one
Just got a 2020 blacked our rs can you tell a difference with this think it's gonna be my next purchase
Ooh I just got this same vehicle. Not mechanically inclined. Will a shop do this for me ??
They could. But this is very easy if you want to save money haha
I been looking for the throttle body spacer for the 2020 blazer rs but no luck any idea watch one would fit on it??
did you have any problems with the mass air flow senser i just put one to mine and check engen is on

Yes it would work. Amd no problems here!
Mine, just came in the mail a couple days ago. When I get back home today after vacation I’m going to install it!
Two questions: Does this void any sort of warranty? And how do you get your XM channel art to show up? Thanks!!
This wouldnt void a warranty. But if you want the warm and fuzzy. You can call your local Chevy. And the channel art just popped up haha
Does this void the factory warranty?
Install map sensor in the tube BEFORE you install it in the car so when your finished you just hook up electrical Duh .........
How is the CAI treating you? I’m waiting on mine to come in. Wondering if you’re still enjoying it. And if you did feel a power increase or something along those lines
Been running great! Got a little better fuel economy and not much of noticeable power
Is that a cold air intake?

7/18/24 l have a 2024 V6 Blazer. Do you need to re-tune the Computer. Thank you
@@John-d6t6b no re-tune required
These are turbo correct? If so, did this make the BOV louder?
This is v6 non turbo
Doors anyone know if the K&N cold air intake for the V6 will work on the 4 cylinder?
What kind of exhaust do you have on it?
Stock exhaust
Do you know of anyone doing a exhaust mod on the 19 or 20 V6 Blazer? I wanna do one but its kind of a one shot deal for me because I'm to cheap. 😄

If your on Facebook there's a good chevy blazer page. Some members have done this with video

As long as you dont play with any cat converters I think you'll be ok. You can always ask your local dealer that you'll go to for services
What was the part number for the k and n cold air
Not sure on top of my head. The link will tell ya though
