      But to be specific you need to download the parts catalog of your mixer model because everything all the parts are bought with a part number

    Fantastic video. Parts are apparently no longer available for my C-100. It is leaking oil from the front auxiliary port. I would think gaskets and such are pretty standard in size for this simple area. Any thoughts on how to keep / revive this mixer without buying new?

    If you remove the bearing from the shaft and insert it into the housing, then install the chimney, you can install the shaft last after the chimney. When I put the chimney in i prefer to only be dealing with the chimney without the shaft for the best seal. Sometimes you have to sand / file the shaft to remove the bearing. The washer that goes on from underneath can bugger up the shaft.

      That’s correct Inserting the bearing and than the chimney is the more clean and easy way to do it

      I kind of didn't understood your question in regards of the speed control ,but if this helps the shifter can be removed without removing the transmission, but in all my years i have almost never seen a broken shifter maybe couple what am trying to say maybe the issue is something else good luck.

      As I try to understand the planetary should come down easily by removing the 9/16 bolt that keeps the planetary in place should slide down easily as long the planetary is not frozen in place what I mean sometimes planetary hasn’t been down in years and sometimes won’t slide down as it supposed to that’s when other techniques to get it down are necessary

      Now the one that I have keep looking for spare is N06 that one might be discontinued or don’t know why the maker is not making it anymore N04 and n06 is used on the 60qts at least get a N04 I’ll make your job a lot easier.

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      Hi glad you liked the video.
      In regards of your question there aren't special tools to remove planetary that don't want to come down only bearing stractors but I have never been able able to get one down with those tools, plus if you try to force it down you might damage it.
      Go to the next comment to explain how I get it down because there is a way that's the only way how I get it down with out damaging the planetary

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      I probably will make a video next time I find a stock planetary.
      #1 I take the transmission out everything has to come out.
      #2 I also remove the cone inside.
      #3 once everything is out I put back the transmission cover with the bearing I resemble the cover with 4 screws.
      #4 I have a hoist I bring down the mixer completely to the floor.
      #5 once is down I start hammering with a big hammer and a solid round piece of used shaft I keep around for that purpose, hammer upwards and slowly it start to go out 2 people needed it to do this.
      For us is easy I don't know if I explained good enough but when I get mixers with stock planetary I don't mess to much with it if there is no movement at all I go immediately to do what I explained above hope this helps a bit.

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      gu oh that's easy as long the planetary is not frozen in place.
      Just remove the stainless ring or oil drio cup it only has 2 small screws.
      Once that's done proceed to remove planetary underneath is a 9 /16 screw remove it 2 person need it to safely remove it one needs to hold the planetary while someone else remove the screw if the planetary is not frozen in place it should slide down very easily.

    The white plastic chimney has a oring seal , you left the oring in the case and did not mention it. it is the main seal to stop oil from leaking down. it should be replace every time you pull the chimney. the steel chimney uses a paper gasket with pematex#2. The sealant you say to use silicone alone will not seal the plastic chimney good, will leak after a of year. The O-ring part # 00-067500 -102 is the most important seal for plastic chimney. it fits around the bottom of the chimney bottom lip.

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      Good point i didn't mention it but like I said on the video is my first video, out everything i didn't mention the chimney O ring, is also good to mention,so other people dosen't get confused, that older h600 don't need O rings, and on the newer h600 models I guess from 1985/till hobart ended the H600 model, hobart added the O ring for the plastic chimney.
      So ill I'll say just look if your mixer has plastic chimney pretty sure will have O ring, if it has metal chimney doesn't need and O ring ,but double check to make sure...

    How do I replace the oil gauge sight glass? Does it pop out with a pry tool from the outside? Does the replacement simply pop in afterward?

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      Yes it pop out by doing that, but is always better to just break the glass and stick a screw driver to make it pop the reason is Hobart redesign the transmission case mixers around 25 to 30years old they have an edge inside behind the glass that stops the glass in the edge also this design has a gasket behind the glass vs the 40 to 60 years mixers they don’t have the edge or gasket those pop very easy the ones with the edge inside the transmission case need to be broken to get it out.
      Once out clean the surface really good with acetone and use oil resistance gasket maker to reinstall
      Hope this helps I might make a video replacing the oil gauge

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  Рік тому

      Hola buenas tardes
      Si son diferentes para empezar en los modelos más viejos con hub 22 ,el engranaje de bronze tiene 29dientes
      En el modelo de los 1990 en adelante el engranaje de bronze cambia ah 31 dientes si el hub es #12
      Aparte de eso un engranaje en el piñón de velocidades uno de ellos no es compatible con el h600 así que la forma más segura es contar los dientes de los engranes algunos si son compatibles con el h600 pero no todos son iguales.

    How do you remove the square drive on a Hobart h600?

    • @johno9163
      @johno9163 Рік тому

      Assuming you mean the square drive for the attachments, first remove the screw down the centre, it is a left handed screw. Then the square drive itself is threaded down the centre so insert a screw and if the key is not too scored in the shaft you can pull out the square drive using the screw. If the shaft is seized you can use a slide hammer with a long threaded rod. It sometimes takes a bit of patience. The worst I have ever had required replacing the hub gear as everything was seized so badly.

    I need your help I have Hobart mixer D340 40 quart I take transmission gear out I’clean up and change oil then I put it back Speed 2 working the speed 3 working and the first gear not working can you help me why thank you

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      Hi thanks for your comment.
      D340 2nd and third works with a clutch those 2 speeds are the easiest one to get going, now first is very tricky, your first is located on the gear with 10 rollers and the 10 springs rollers like black thing pieces, most of the time those need to be replaced with new ones about $5.00 each you need 10 of those, if the gear that holds the rollers and spring rollers that should do it.
      You mentioned in your comment that you change the oil, let me tell you d340 works with grease not oil I repeat not oil,the reason that you might have found oil or liquid in it is because over the years with out maintenance the grease becomes oil that's why you might have tough it need it oil but no it needs grease 12 to 15lbs off grease.
      Let me know if I answer your questions.

    • @schau1266
      @schau1266 3 роки тому

      @@calucoelsv thanks for your reply. I did have the rollers and springs replaced about 20 years ago. But the machine was in storage and not used since it was replaced. So it is still basically new. I did clean everything and put it back together to test it (no grease yet). At 2 and 3 speed setting the mixer does turn and work like it should. At 1 speed setting it turns but if I hold onto the mixing part the pressure makes not turn. So if I tried to use it to mix anything it won’t turn against the pressure. It’s like tire wheels when a car is in neutral. It can turn but there is no power or force behind it. How can I fix that? Do I need to grease it to work? Thanks again

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      @@schau1266 ok .
      Basically that's where your 1st apeed is, the next suspect is the gear where the rollers sit, the one with the 10 spaces that gear should have sharp edges one side might be sharper than the other side used the one that feels more sharp, if you don't feel any side sharp the gear needs to be replaced, also check position of the spring the metal pieces should be in front of the rollers if you stand next to the shifter start putting one roller first than in front of the roller put your spring roller, do it 1 by 1

    How can I stop the oil leaking from the hub port on an h600. The hub is not being used, the oil level is normal

    • @calucoelsv
      @calucoelsv  3 роки тому

      Hi
      In regards of your question
      Only two or 3 reasons why this happens
      #1 too much oil in the transmission but you already said that oil level is ok, double check that oil needs to be on the black line that says oil level
      #2 very unlikely this happens if you transported the unit from one location to another oil moves and finds is way out also if someone lay it down
      #3 again unlikely but could happens on of the two needle bearing is damaged or broken allowing oil out.
      Something to know there is not a actual seal in the hub that prevents oil leaks that’s why is important to double check the oil gauge to make sure is not above the oil level line
