Mam I have a doubt,in previous chapter(light) you said that speed of light in air is almost same as in vaccum then why does light refract in the earth's atmosphere?

In our earth atmosphere there are different layer and every layer have different density if we compare density troposphere have more density than other layer in troposphere there are many gases and particle present like gases and water vapour and many more star light come from rarer medium to denser medium star light is bent by gases and layer of atmosphere that why stars light sometimes bright more and sometimes become dim due to this Atmospheric Refraction position of star fluctuations and the amount star lijht entering the eye flickers

Thanks for pointing that out! You're right, planets are much closer to Earth than stars. However, planets are much harder to see because they are so much smaller.
