I was lucky enough to be in the audience for this episode. It was my 6th time being in the audience for the show. It's amazing to see it on TV, but even more amazing to see it all happen right in front of you.
you lucky "lingonberry". i never got to see him, even on tv in sweden (exept from parts when erik and mackan was on, and they had bits of it on their show). but i have been catching up, thanks to people like you.
I've always wanted to attend a taping, but it was difficult to do so from Montreal Canada. When I was finally making plans, the show was ending in a few months :(
There's been several episodes, during my rewatch, that I actually remember when it was "live". This is definitely one of them. I was SO excited to see his new place!!!
I went to the show in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 3 times in 2015 (with guest-hosts though). I saw both the old studio and the new, bigger and much brighter one they gave Craig in late 2012 I believe. They had Chunky B as the warm-up guy and then a new guy took over in 2014. They always handed out chocolate to the audience, haven't seen that on other talk shows (Leno, Conan, Kimmel, Chelsea). Nice memories.
I was working as a standup comic in the 90s, and while doing so, I'd get the occasional extra gig. Didn't pay anything, but fun to see the shows and get some exposure. I worked a couple of crowd gigs. They always gave you candy to get you energized. We actually did staged reactions where we were told to show shock, joy, disappointment, etc. This was all done before the show started. So Hollywood
@@Frankincensedjb123 That's fascinating. From what I've read and seen, Craig's show was a lot about deconstructing talk shows tropes. His earlier shows had the audience very close and the interactions seemed much more personal. I'm sure similar prepping of the audience was done on this show but I like to imagine that it was a bit more genuine.
best ending to the show ever, so glad he honored the fellow employees, shows that he knows they are his equals - damn I miss this show so much I hope he comes back and tries to let lightning strike twice
This is an example of what late night TV is missing right now. Craig Ferguson was able to make The Late Late Show amazing and funny. He should've replaced David Letterman when he retired, and based on all of the things that CBS gave him during his final few years, it looked like CBS was saying the same thing, too.
yeah... but I've been "binging" the show, starting in 2009; you can see him getting more and more exhausted & worn out. take a look at the couple of shows before he went and a couple right as he got back from Scotland, recharged.
No, the curved Los Angeles city backdrop was kept and enlarged with more detail, and they increased the set with a fireplace, a place for their horse, a new curtained off area for musical performances and the set was enlarged as they moved into a studio which had around 2,000 Sq Ft more space than their old studio.

I love when Craig has non-celebrities on. He's such a man of the people. Just one of the many reasons we love him.

UberDurable guest hosts? But it's TLLS with Craig Ferguson
Craig hosted the show till December 2014, from then till James Corden's debut it was hosted by guests.

I always wanted to hear from some of the audience members who were up on stage with Craig and getting dinner at a swanky restaurant…
?
I love this guy. What a great "I carumba" show.
Love that real Geoff Peterson (Josh Robert Thompson) had his arm around robot Geoff Peterson until he removed it to work robot GP's head :)
This episode was hilarious xDD gosh i love Craig & Chris and miss Craig so damn much.

36:57 Josh with his hand on Geoff's shoulder is a nice touch.
Bridger = best intern ever !

@@richtravis9562 Yeah, but Craig's exhausting nights are more entertaining than anything that's on late night TV today.
@@richtravis9562I love that you've been "binging" the show! -Definitely worth a "bing"! 🎉
Josh is actually standing behind Geoff with his hand on his shoulder.
Rebecca = Wonderful, beautiful, sassy, funny, cheeky.
the new studio where Craig did his second half of the show from is where James Corden's studio of his version of the show is taped in Studio 56..
And its good
Wow! First celebrity I've ever heard reference Paradise california. I live 40 minutes from there and I'm there almost weekly

WoW ! that's amazing how Craig made that not the last ever email

Hilarious video!
27:43 my heart dropped.
Did they just dismantle the old set and move it into the new studio? It looked the same.

I wish I could get these to play in order from January to December but at least I have them to hide from Trumpsyvania.

Love it
39:05 end credits
No set until 2012!
Carla kind of sounds like Sarah Chaulke
37:09 that brunette on the right in the blue dress is a cutie.
I really love Craig but a team of about 75 people and only one black person? That is quite f***ed up. I was expecting more diversity.
😂😂😂
I see two black people and one Vietnamese person. Still, always could be better.
U forgot Morgan Freeman😮
