I love the color pallette...both look beautiful together. Denise, I may go weeks (read: sometimes closer to months) not feeling the groove to paint...when I do, I always come back to you first for that added push and marvelous inspiration...you are so appreciated 🥰
When i tell you, "Great job! Beautiful!", I feel like I'm saying, " Today, the sun rose in the east." I mean ... "Well, duh! What'd you expect?" :-) I use many (most?) of your, the Color Cube, and the Leach Abstract Watercolor book ideas to make card fronts. The advantages to me: beautiful creations for friends & smaller total area to cover (which means I get done faster & can move on to the next!) Thanks much for both the "what & how" of your presentations. '25 Mantra: "Create for yourself (cuz I need it & miss it when I don't) & share with others (cuz an unexpected 'thinking of you' or 'you matter to me' card mixed in with the bills & junk mail can make someone's day)".
Ha! It may feel like you are saying the sun rose... but it still feels good to have the interaction - so it doesn't feel like I am out here in the desert by myself just taking to myself. So Thank You for making the effort for me! I love your mantra's for '25 too! 🤗 🤗 🤗
Haha! “Sometimes I’m kind of a ‘more is more’ kind of person “. I haven’t even watched the video yet and that bit made me laugh out loud. I answered you out loud and said, “Oh, yes, you are.” 👍🏼 Do you know how many times I’ve heard your voice telling me to add more stuff? 😂 “If you don’t like it, you just need to add more.” “I just kinda threw the kitchen sink at this…” “does this need some gold…I think this needs some gold.” And you’re right… it works! 🎉
Beautiful! Sometimes “just enough” is perfect. I tend to overdo. I am teaching myself that more isn’t always more. (but sometimes it can be). I am such a waffler. 😀
Hi Denise! These two pieces look so good together, and I think it’s interesting to look at because you’ve got the circles on one side and the rectangles and squares on the other. The dirty greens and purples look so good together ❤
I Really enjoyed this session Denise. You seemed relaxed and at ease with what you were doing. Confident. I really like the granulation effects. It turned out nice and I'm excited to try it. Have a great day.
I am so excited and appreciate your inspiration. As I just purchased this wonderful book, I plan on using my very first dedicated sketchbook end my Kuratake paints, to practice thess terrific lessons. Again I thank you for sharing your creations.
Wow don’t they look amazing together. Haven’t had a try in my Dina Wakeley book yet. Am thinking of trying to make my own with your inspiration, thank you.
Inspired by your videos I got the Rebecca Leach book for myself for Christmas. I am enjoying it very much, but I have made a discovery - I get waaay better blooms and granulation effects on Canson Montval than I do on Arches! This really surprised me, but I can really go to town with the book now without worrying about how much the paper costs! Thanks for the inspiration!
The color box idea is interesting. Since you’re matching colors from your paint box to the palette on the card, doesn’t it discourage mixing colors to create color unity?
@@freezo244 I do love the color cards. Gives me a direction to head and experiment with. Challenging me to work with colors I might not normally pick. I have had lots of surprising results and palettes I would go back to!
Denise, have you ever used any color shaping tools for mark making with your gold ink? I bought one for use for mark making with acrylic but am anxious to know if it would work with that beautiful mica ink.
I’ve never seen them discount the color cubes. Those are such a good price for what you get too. I printed some color palettes I made from my own photography and I spent $40 for 25 cards. Those cubes give you 250 in each box! I love them.
We admired Picasso's blue period. Now we're admiring Love's card #398 period. Truly beautiful.
Ha! I love that! Thank you! 🤗🤗🤗

Love this! Also love the look of that book...just ordered it. Thanks.😊❤
You are going to love it! 🤗
Sighhhh...😍😍my colors. Just lovely and relaxing.
So glad you enjoyed it! 🤗
Yes! These pages look great together. Love how you just add a little water to get the granulation for more depth to the color. A big ol’ hug for you🤗!
I love how the water does that too!! So glad you loved this piece! Thank you! 🤗🤗🤗
Inspiring as always.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🤗

You'll love doing some of these! That is a fantastic book to work from!! 🤗🤗🤗
One of my favorite color combinations is Daniel Smith's Amethyst Genuine and Perylene Green. These remind me of the abstracts I've made with them.
Those are some great colors! I love the Daniel Smith colors! 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio The abstracts I made with them came from one of your Skillshare classes.
Oh cool!! 🤗

You'd love having a book you make yourself! I love being able to choose the paper inside! 😊

Beautiful and inspiring. One of my favorite color pallets. Where is the video for the circles? Thanks so much for everything
Thank you! You can find the circle one just before this on in the color palette play list and the sketchbook playlist!
Hmmmm 😍🥰😍
Thank you! 🥰

I like to think of it as a jumping-off point. You can definitely mix colors! 🤗

Tell me more about the creative abstract watercolor book! I haven’t been able to tune in for a bit, looks like I missed out on that.
You’ll love that book! I’ve done several videos on it. Such a good one to have and work through!! 🤗
@ Found it on Amazon, looks great!
