    Sorry to be pedantic, but I try to help out with correct information when I can. The third button is NOT a treble boost. To boost any frequency, be it bass, mid or treble, you need to add electric energy. Therefore, only active on-board preamp circuits (those which need a battery) can boost. A passive circuit (without battery) can only cut (ie impede/reduce/block) certain frequencies (eg with a capacitor), but it can never boost. The third (mystery) switch is a “treble bleed”, ie it blocks lower frequencies and lets the higher frequencies “bleed through”, ie, pass freely. It may sound like treble is boosted, because the signal bypasses the tone control, but there is no boosting going on. Just less cutting.

    the thing i don't understand with jaguars and jazzmasters is when Fender Market's it, sometimes they have those switches and sometimes they don't is there a way to identify those who have switches and those who dont?

    It's not a "treble boost", it's a bass filter.

    Thank you for your video! I'm thinking of getting one soon, because I really like that deep 60's surf sound. I have a question: is it true that the bridge needs to be changed immediately? A lot of people replace it with a Mustang bridge...what do you think?

    • @benonguitar9314
      @benonguitar9314  7 років тому

      CICCO'S RADIO I would do it. This one has the mustang bridge to. Its super easy and not that expensive and saves allot of frustration haha.

    If you can use a cell phone you can easily work out the controls of a Jag. It’s not rocket science and it’s not difficult.

    So do the regular volume and tone nobs work when on the rhythm circuit or do they only work with the treble circuit?

      I think.its short scale so you lose a few frets

    • @souldreamer9056
      @souldreamer9056 5 років тому +1

      Cody the Barber - I think someone may have misinformed. Scale length has nothing to do with frets count. Jags have either 21 or 22 frets, just like the longer scale Strat or Tele. If you were to add 2 frets to a 22 fret Strat with a scale length of 25.5”, your 24th fret will be at 1/4 of the scale length. If you do the same to a 24” Jaguar, it will also be at 1/4. The distance between bridge and 24th fret will always be at 1/4, no matter the scale length, although the absolute distance in inches will be different (6.375” vs 6”). The position of the frets in relation to scale length never changes. In other words, if you remove 2 frets from a 22-fret 25.5”-scale Strat, you will still have a 25.5”-scale Strat, but it will only have 20 frets.

    And it"s a Squier take it apart and the components are pieces of shit add in the idea that the action is off and you got a cheap guitar not worth the money you payed for it. That is unless you have to look and play like Nirvana.
