Dude! I’ve literally today reseeded my 2023 lawn with 100% Fescue Maxima 1. You posted a video last year the same day I seeded my ‘22 lawn 😂 Official lawn bros 😂

I’ll send over some pics of this years major levelling and reseeding project. You might remember the garden 🤓😁 I totally used “The process” inspired by you my bro!

Hello sir 🫡 I've been looking at all your videos to start my lawn process. A few questions I live in Canada. What are the alternatives for Milorganite. Thank you so much and keep on the good work 🤟
Question 2: what grass type is on your front lawn?? Why would you use tall fescue over Kentucky blue? I want a dark green lawn so I should go with Kentucky blue right?
Front is kentucky blue and perennial rye! Hit up twincityseed.com and tell them you want yardbrahs perennial rye it’s gonna be the darkest rye on the market!!! I went with tall fescue in the back back cause I’m not gonna irritate as much back there and kentucky 31 can withstand heat very well…. I have a couple patches of k31 in the front and I’m telling you it gets darker than all my other cultivars!!! But yes go with kbg or rye hit them up they will guide you for your area and seed type 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have a ton of steps videos 😂 but this is the first time I’ve done pre germ so I’ll have to analyze the pre germination process before I start educating everyone on my experience with it. Thanks again for the support and tuning in 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
@@YardBrah thanks again for ur videos brah here we are supporting you, Quick question for you , Im planning on overseeding this weeknd , this company just treated my lawn for fall weed control last friday, Do I still need to apply tenacity on it? If so, is there anything similar ( cheaper would you recommend) ? Thank you
I'm re-watching this video because I'm about to try this on my side lawn. But, I have a Poa infestation on that side. Would you recommend spraying Tenacity and clearing the Poa first then in a few weeks place the seed, or simply doing the whole process at once soil, seed, Tenacity, peat moss, water?
Do it all at once! It won’t get rid of the poa you’re gonna need a different product for that either now or 6 weeks after germination I use prograss ec 😊🙏🏾🔥🤙🏾
Dude I love the videos, but feel sorry for you in advance because you are going to hate that k-31. it is a course field grass. but thats ok, we will get to see a future video of you smoking it off and taking it out to replace with blue grass in year 2. you inspire me to have fun in the lawn...
I mean we gotta test out all the cultivars right! 😂😂😂 like I’ve said love the look and thickness of the blades … never had an entire section of k31 but would love to say I had 1000sqft of k31 and made it look amazing 😊 who knows maybe we will try poa back there next year 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Yessir!!!! Bro I just watched your vid what the heck I have notifications on and it didn’t notify me!!!! What grass cultivar do you have and what state Illinois right? 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Yeah that could be a good possibility but the price for how many times we will mix pre germinated seed though does it make sense? I just used the bow staff and mixed it for about 20 min 😂😂😂😂 nice shoulder workout! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
how do you think the dirt roller/spreader would work with compost. I make my own compost for my veg garden and im thinking of using the compost instead of peat moss or sand .
It will work great but you might need to chop it up a bit first. The stuff that needs to go back in the bottom of the new compost pile will stay inside. Put a tarp down at the turf edge so you can unload residue easily.
Yup what Wayne said! 😊🔥🔥🔥 I’m def going to test it out with bagged compost should be fun as the pre summer vids come out “summa time protection!” 😂😂😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
Long time fan, first time posting. I've used my peat moss spreader with topsoil every overseed. It's amazing. It helps remove the big chunks with an even distribution. I really don't have to use my spreader. Love the channel. You've inspired me to kick up my lawn game in my front yard. Working on the back for a fall reno with KBG/PR. Can't wait
@@j-man-oo2ze Aye thank you so much for the support and thank you for letting us know your experience with topsoil in the spreader!!! I can't wait to try it out with top soil in the future and compost in the summer!!! 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Bruh. I'm guessing that's a HOA fence but you gotta get that one fence post fixed for video purposes my A.D.H.D is killing me 😂. Hope you get good germination my dude.
Great video, great help. I’m in Ottawa, Ontario and it’s becoming a little hot now June 22nd, is it ok to go ahead with The Process? My lawn is a misery, sick and tire with those lawn care actors. Please let me know if it’s too hot this time of the year. I’m really excited to do the process. Andres
Just make sure your soil temps are not too hot and make sure that water is keeping the seeds moist it’s a challenge right now but very possible as I’ve overseeded in the heat of summer before and got amazing results! Try pregerminating the seed first so once you lay it down it’s already germinated! 😊👊🏾🤙🏾 May the lawn Gods be in your favor 😂🤙🏾
5 lbs of seed per 1000 sqft 15 lbs of milo 🔥🔥🔥 i put down 10 lbs with 30lbs bag of milorganite just cause the back back needs the nutrients and I like to lay seed down thick 😂😂😂😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Kiwi it’s gonna be fun! You know I don’t this is the 2nd little baby rabbit in the back I think they like the thick grass 😂😂😂 I’ve never seen a big one in the lawn 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
Sorry, i might have missed this, Is that pre-germinated seed you are mixing with the Milorganite in the wheelbarrow? If so, do you have any vids on how you do this? Thanks!
Yes and coming soon! It’s easy though just pre germ for the days it takes the cultivar to germinate in a bucket with a paint strainer… and tie it off… and keep changing the water every 24 hours! Mix with some Milo and you’re off to the races 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Off topic question. When did you see the weeds bleach once you put down the tenacity? It has been a week for me in Everett and and still not seeing the weed bleach
I saw you put on the top soil, tenacity, seed, rolled it and the peat moss but at what point did you add the fertilizer or did I just completely miss that part? Wait, is that black stuff you mixed in with the seed the fertilizer?
For pre germinated seed you add milorganite as a carrier so the seed spreads easier that is your fertilizer… if you are just throwing seed down the next step after you put the seed down and rake it in is starter fertilizer… I use Scott’s starter fert but milorganite works as well 😊🤙🏾
@@YardBrah - since I’m seeding from scratch, what are your thought on mixing the TTTF blend I have with an RTF and seed my lawn with both already mixed in the spreader? I’ve seen you over seed but I haven’t seen you or seen anyone mix in both from scratch. I’m not sure if it’s even a good idea. What do you think and which RTF would you recommend?
It’s about to be ah-goo-ah-d ah-goo-ah-d 😂😂😂 I went super heavy 10 lbs of seed 30lbs of milorganite on 1032 sqft 😂😂😂😂😂 bout to be an-thuiuck!!! 5lbs seed per thousand and 15 lbs of milorganite would be normal 😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
Does your top Soil have wood chunks all the Depot and lowes is clunky almost like mulch ? And I ordered your leveling rake from your amazon list I can’t wait
Yes a lot of the bags have a lot of nonsense but these cowlitz county bags were actually really sorted out nicely! I think the company screens it before packaging 😊 if not you could always use a peat moss spreader to spread the soil it will keep the nonsense in the cage! 😊… and yes it’s the cheapest golf rake but I’ve been using it for 2 1/2 years now and it has never failed me!!! Thanks for the support my friend!!! 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
@@YardBrah support support support it’s the Island way. I had dogs for 13 years and my backyard has path ruts all over and now I’m dogless time to rebuild I figured 40 bags to level
The process: 1) dethatch 2) aerate 3) top soil 4) tenacity 5) seed 6) fertilizer 7) rake it in 8) roll it in 9) peat moss 10) water Tool links in the description
Ok thank you. I also wanted to ask you, if you don’t mind, I seen you use lawn soil up front but top soil out back. Do you use lawn soil more for areas that get noticed first? How do you decide?
Yes better seed to soil contact!!! Even just stepping on it I saw @TurfMechanic just compact the soil by stepping on the soil and his seed came in nicely!!! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
is the stuff he put in the wheel barrow with the seed fertilizer or somethin'? wait a minute sir, what the heck is a "Quick Connect" and where can I get one!? Mind blown! (ima just go to amazon.)
I think he put milorganite in with the seed at a rate of 5lbs seed 15lbs of milorganite per 1000sqft but then he went heavy so did 10lbs of seed and 30 lbs of milorganite for 1000sqft 😉 and yes quick connect I got from Lowe’s for like $6 game changer my dude 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Wish the Tenacity bottle had a wider mouth. Seems like I’m wasting some of the product each time. Can I do this project without the drum and peatmoss spreader?

I'm a new subscriber so I'm hoping you have old videos detailing the steps including pre-germ.
I have a ton of steps videos 😂 but this is the first time I’ve done pre germ so I’ll have to analyze the pre germination process before I start educating everyone on my experience with it. Thanks again for the support and tuning in 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Hey buddy been learning alot feom your channel thank u! Question what are u mixing ur seed with in the wheel barrel?
Thank you for the support! It’s milorganite! Any organic slow release fertilizer will work as a “carrier” 😊🤙🏾
THE BACK BACK DOEEEEE
The back back tho!!!!!! 😂😂😂 it’s gonna be so fun to mow back there! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
😂😂😂 like I’ve said love the look and thickness of the blades … never had an entire section of k31 but would love to say I had 1000sqft of k31 and made it look amazing 😊 who knows maybe we will try poa back there next year 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Brahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
What's up My DUDE !!!!!
Yessir!!!! Bro I just watched your vid what the heck I have notifications on and it didn’t notify me!!!! What grass cultivar do you have and what state Illinois right? 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
@@YardBrah I got kgb, we hit good temperature and then it drop then we got snow 😆 🤣 😂 Chicago suburbs
@@cristobalroman16 Good ol Chi-Town!!! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾
when mixing the seed into the malorganite a thought appeared to me would a ego attacment cultivator be good for mixing mats up?
may be aggrsive on seed but like sand/soil mixing possibly?
Yeah that could be a good possibility but the price for how many times we will mix pre germinated seed though does it make sense? I just used the bow staff and mixed it for about 20 min 😂😂😂😂 nice shoulder workout! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
There’s my sprinkler!
😂😂😂😂 great suggestion 😂🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
These are good I have a older one tho lol
I'm gonna need you to purchase that wheelbarrow for me.
😂🤙🏾
Yard Bruh, wad up? I need to see that video where you reseed the front lawn using the crop cover and the net. In the process of doing my front lawn.
Hope you mailed out an invoice to the city for "professional landscaping services" :)
😂😂😂😂 it will be my contribution to the city 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
how do you think the dirt roller/spreader would work with compost.
@@wayneessar7489 yea thats what i was hoping for. I sift my compost and recompost the big debris.
Bruh. I'm guessing that's a HOA fence but you gotta get that one fence post fixed for video purposes my A.D.H.D is killing me 😂. Hope you get good germination my dude.
😂😂😂 yes this fence has seen better days for sure 😂 I’m working on it it looks so horrible 😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the way.

At this point I ask myself am I watching to the yard footage or the voiceovers? 🙌🏽
😂😂😂👊🏾 either way you are here and I thank you for the support my friend 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@YardBrah Thank you very much, amazing care you provide for your followers, just wish you all the best and keep up the good work
"It's raaaaiiining,,," 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂 Pops is hella funny 😂🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
What was the lbs of seed to lbs of milo ratio?
5 lbs of seed per 1000 sqft 15 lbs of milo 🔥🔥🔥 i put down 10 lbs with 30lbs bag of milorganite just cause the back back needs the nutrients and I like to lay seed down thick 😂😂😂😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥🔥🔥
Baby got back back 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yes!!! 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is gonna be goooood mate can't wait to see you mowing it! Do you have a lot of rabbits in your lawns??
Thanks Kiwi it’s gonna be fun! You know I don’t this is the 2nd little baby rabbit in the back I think they like the thick grass 😂😂😂 I’ve never seen a big one in the lawn 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
I could never spent so much time and money on something that no one can see
This one was very budget friendly… and I can see it that’s all that matters 😉😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
I bet u wipe ur azz with that same logic....
I can see it on UA-cam
Well his property value is going up and he can see it so that's a win win
Let’s goooooo!!
Let’s go brotha!!! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
@@YardBrah Thanks!
Will wood chips etc found in top soil affect the grass sprouting? Thanks!
I mean big ones yes but typically no your good the grass is pretty resilient and can push through peat moss and it’s debris 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Off topic question. When did you see the weeds bleach once you put down the tenacity? It has been a week for me in Everett and and still not seeing the weed bleach
It takes about 2 weeks and those guys will be ghost white! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
@@YardBrah thanks! Will look out for it!
@@amg4k119 Let me know I wanna know how long it took you up North! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
@@YardBrah you were right. Just got he bleaching. it seems that warmer weather might have made it bleach faster.
Brah, arent those worx products the best doe!? Thats 2 products we have in common. The wheel barrow and the revolution!🤙🏽😂🤛🏽
Yessss!!! Oh man GT Revolution is my favorite!!!! I also use the worx drill to mix up the Molly coddle 😂 but this aero cart is something else 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Okay, 3 products!!!😂😂
That Back, Back about to be ah . . .Nioce, Nioce.😜🤪. Seriously, do you have lbs per K feet down for seed and Fert? 👏 Great 👍 job.
The process:
1) dethatch
2) aerate
3) top soil
4) tenacity
5) seed
6) fertilizer
7) rake it in
8) roll it in
9) peat moss
10) water

😊🙏🏾
Do you let you seed dry out after soaking it and putting it down
Only for like 15 min mixed in with the milorganite…. Spread it then water it in 😊🤙🏾
I’m curious what region are you located. I want to try that seed but I don’t know if it is recommended for my area.
Washington State cool season grass… I believe zone 9a if I’m not mistaken 😊🤙🏾
Hey the product you mix with the germinated seed?
Milorganite 😊🤙🏾
Tha Good Good!
The best best 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Instead of using milo to mix with the pre germinated seed is there any alternatives? Being that I'm Canada any Milo is banned here
Any organic non burning slow release fert will work my friend! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥👊🏾
Hey man I just did my front yard, I know the Feeling 😂 lol you aerated? What did you use ?
Yes best feeling ever! I used the roll aerator from rollaerator.com 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Captain he's working at worp speed!!!!
😂😂😂😂🙏🏾 yes I find it a lot more pleasurable when I work at a faster rate to help with my cardio 😂😂😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
My man. Question…doing the process is best to use lawn soil or top soil?
I just use the cheapest top soil at Lowe’s it’s like $3 😂 works great I usually do 10 -15 bags per 1000sqft… if it’s not level 20-25 bags 😊🤙🏾
Ok thank you. I also wanted to ask you, if you don’t mind, I seen you use lawn soil up front but top soil out back. Do you use lawn soil more for areas that get noticed first? How do you decide?
How long do you wait to lay down the seed with milo after the tenacity? Doing mine this week!
You can seed with tenacity doesn't affect the seed.
LoL I started dying laughing in solidarity at the "strength of 10 men to load up a Tenacity syringe" 😂
Yessssss someone who can relate! 😂😂😂👊🏾 it’s true right? Like I’m a big dude I curl 60s … tenacity syringe is tougher than me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊🔥🤙🏾🙏🏾

Can I plant seed right after applying tenacity?
Yes you can seed the same time I’ve done it for every major overseed and Reno 😊🤙🏾
@@YardBrah thanks for telling me. Love your videos!
Question 1: how full did you fill the roller with water?
Until it leaks out my friend! I want it heavy as possible to flatten soil and get that seed down 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Hi I did mine today but didn't rake or roll the grass seed in is there a reason for this👍👍
Yes better seed to soil contact!!! Even just stepping on it I saw @TurfMechanic just compact the soil by stepping on the soil and his seed came in nicely!!! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
@@YardBrah nice one thanks for replying back 😀👍👍
👍👍👐👐👏👏👏👏👏🫵you the man 🤙🤙
Thank you my guy!!!!! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
is the stuff he put in the wheel barrow with the seed fertilizer or somethin'?
wait a minute sir, what the heck is a "Quick Connect" and where can I get one!?
I know there is a process and that's the way but could you get the same results if you put dirt in the roller and not used the leveler
Yes soil in the peat moss roller would work well if your lawn is already level! This area was not level at all so for me it’s better to fill in the dips 😊🔥🤙🏾🙏🏾
@YardBrah thanks I am looking to level out my front yard in ohio and looking at all the videos to help level the damage the squirrels deer and rabbit make
