Nothing is more refreshing that a big old glass of sweet tea and it's easy to master the perfect pitcher of tea. Serve it over ice with lemon 🍋 or even squeeze in a slice of orange 🍊, what's your favorite way to drink sweet tea?
@@amaliemaren2883 oh new friend, I can't wait to hear how it turns out 🍋💖 You will be amazed how easy it is. Thanks for watching, I hope you'll stick around for more. I post What's For Dinner videos every Sunday.
I used to love the raspberry sweet tea from Ruby Tuesday’s. It had like an actual raspberry syrup with the fruit pieces in it. It was so good! They also had a peach tea I loved too.
Hey Mel this video popped up and I LOVE it even tho it's a year old ...... I make tea same way .... I have a wooden spoon that's only for tea and one pot ...... but I do let my tea sit for about 1 hr before I make ... don't know why but my nana taught me that and she is 97 yrs young as of Oct 14th 2022 ...... LOVE all your videos

Thank you so much! I have been trying to get the right combination… its either too weak, or not enough sugar.. then its to much 🤦♀️ this saves so much time and tea bags 😂
@@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel i sure will! I literally just run your playlists all day some days, (at work… shhhhhh) because I work full time and never know what meal I can make that doesnt take hours! You are a lifesaver!!

@candiem6526 🥰 I worked full time outside of the home for a lot of years, too so I 100% understand the struggle. You are not alone and you're doing great! 👏👍🏼😊
That’s exactly how I make mine! I will sometimes add a pinch of baking soda to cut through the bitterness and makes a hives difference. Best tea I ever had ❤
Now I must admit...I am new to the tea scene lol. My hubby was a barista when we met and he has been trying to get me into coffee and tea for years lol. I finally ventured to the tea side!! So I can appreciate a good cup of tea now lol. We get the herbal fruit flavored ones and have a whole recipe the way we make it! Your way is a lot more simple and straight to the point ☺️. Thanks for sharing Mel! I hope your having a great day!! 💗
What can I say, I am a simple woman 🤣. I will I have to show some footage of my daughter's tea collection one day lol she is a hot tea lover. I pretty much like my tea cold and sweet, but I do love black coffee even flavored. I love to watch the baristas I think that is amazing how they do that coffee. You guys need to make some videos on that together I'd love to see it ❤ Thank you so much for watching I really appreciate you!
@@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel hey the easier the better!! I'm not mad at it. Yes I would love to see it. That looks good. I’ve never had southern sweet tea. I drink Earl Grey tea (no milk or sugar). In hot weather I put in the fridge and drink it cold over ice.
I use Luzianne tea bags family size bags. It's only me and my Grandson so I just make 2 qts. I use two tea bags. I use Splenda because we are trying to cut down on sugar and Splenda tastes more like sugar than any other sweetner. I like lemon in my tea but my Grandson doesn't so I just add a piece to my glass. He said my tea is the best he had ever had. He had never had homemade sweet tea until I made it for him. It's better than buying it pre-made at the store or restaurants
I make mine exactly like that, wooden spoon and all, lol! Always have sweet tea in the fridge, and it best not get emptied or there's gonna be trouble!!!! 😊💜
🤣😂 yes! The folks gotta have the sweet tea cold and ready at all times ❤ I love that you have a big wooden teaspoon too, that cracks me up 🤣. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you have a blessed week.🥰
Sounds great 👍 I have an Aldi haul coming tomorrow at 8pm, a summer salads video on Thursday at 11:45 am and as always a What's For Dinner on Sunday at 8pm.
This looks soo delicious. My mouth was watering a bit haha! Have you ever made a peach tea for summer time?? Oh man I feel like that would be soo good! Thanks for the tea tips!
I use 6 or more lol large tea bags Louisiane and i let it boil for about 6 or so min and I am on a gas stove. It is a lot different for sure. I was using Tetley and I know they changed their recipe in their teabags so I had to find another I boiled that the same as always and it just didn't never come out right. I got louizianne and it does just fine so. ( spelling lol )
I work in the food industry and in an airport. So a lot of people who are not from Oklahoma are surprised when they are asked it they want sweet or unsweetened tea. Where they come from it’s all unsweet. Sad place lol

Can't wait to see yours, I like to put orange in mine around the holidays. Best of both worlds, I get a little festive feeling and my cold sweet tea, too 🤣
Got some questions. Why cant the pot and utensil be used for anything else, does it affect the taste? And is it true if someone drinks too much sweet tea they can get kidney stones? I heard of someone who did, just curious.
