I landed my first project from proposal today! and I am on the way to land the second project. All you said is true, man! Let's see how this month gonna end. lol
Great video again, thanks Nico What can we suggest new freelancers to get their first job, except the proposal sending part. Profile complition Portfolio section Testimonial What else we can add? Getting that first job is way more difficult now and also depend on the work domain
Yeah, you're totally correct, getting that first job is the most difficult. I filmed a video 2 days ago that goes over that exact topic. It should be out within the next week. But here's the checklist: - optimized profile (see video on my channel) - Applying for smaller jobs at first, doing a good job, getting more reviews. - Any form of social proof will help - include this in the proposals and in your profile

I've got a video coming out this week on how to sign your first client on upwork. Also - Would you be interested if I made a 1 - 2+ hour video going super in-depth on a "Beginners Guide to Upwork"? I would cover profile optimization as a beginner, proposals as a beginner, etc.
I'm watching your video from your first few video .but I'm having trouble with my proposals not getting noticed. I always try to make them as perfect as possible, but so far, I haven't bought any connects. Should I consider buying connects or getting the Plus subscription? Please let me know; your advice would be really helpful.
Yeah, to succeed on Upwork you'll need to buy connects. That's how you can apply to jobs. I wouldn't get the plus membership though, that's not worth it IMO.
If you're struggling to get noticed it's probably an issue with your writing (either it's not personalized or it has grammatical errors) if you fix those you should be notices more.
Which part were you confused about? The number of proposals you need to submit? Or the number of reviews I recommend in order to start applying to bigger jobs?
@@muzamilkhan6669 Sure thing - Congrats on the 2 reviews, that makes things way easier to get clients on Upwork. If you already have 2 reviews here are some standard KPIs: 10 - 20% of proposals you submit should send you a message. 30% of messages should book calls with you. You should close at at least 20% (this KPI varies a ton based on skill, price, and service) Thanks, Nico P.S. check out my free Upwork course & community, Link is in the description and I think you'd get a lot of value from it!
