Not only are these scale models flying works of art, but the scale model flying skills displayed are of the highest order. Also, the video has been expertly shot and edited for the most satisfying viewer experience. Thank you to the model builders, owners and flyers, and to the RC Scale Airplanes channel.
The ME 163 never did taxi runs. As soon as the rocket engine was hot., they rapidly excellerated and shot into the air. These wonderfull scale models use jet engines.
it took me a few minutes to realize that these are not real planes but models. But absolutely amazing models almost indistinguishable from real planes. Great video 👍
Stunning collection of vehicles sir! Some really great footage of some great pilot control too! A great big thankyou to all involved for a wonderful display of pilot control, of extremely realistic vehicles and some amazing camera work. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!
Possibly the best presented, filmed, edited and piloted example of RC aircraft I've ever seen....Amazing to see the Heinkel Volk jaeger Jet actually flying and rolling as this is such a historically well-known aircraft with no real examples of filmed flying to reference....Thank you!
I fly RC planes but much smaller. I can appreciate the work building and flying these beautiful realistic warbirds. That FW 190 about the 24: 42 min mark was my favorite.
Truly epic video Horst - super videography and some (many) amazing models - what a feast. The intro section for sure gave the impression of full size planes. Seemed like almost ''one of everything!" Hard to pick any favorites. The rather low cloud base looked a bit awkward at times, otherwise pretty fair conditions it would seem. Loved those 163's all up together (twice!), and the later pair - hope the which landed bad was OK, plus the red singleton - amazing chunky little planes! Many really nice low passes. Couldn't decide what engines were on the DC3 - odd sound. The Aliena reminded me somewhat of a BA Hawk trainer. Overall standing of landings was exceptional. So - thanks for this super video Horst :)
Hi Chris. I admire your kind comment. 😊 Unfortunately the weather changed every half our or so and therefore some images were not colorful as I wanted. The good thing was, that no plane was crashing. I've no idea what kind of engine were used on the DC3 but it sounded good. _have a great day my friend_ ✌🏼😉
I am shocked no one thinks how crazy it is that the L-39 pilot drug his model on the ground a few times (46:30)!!! That has to be the best of the demos in my opinion! Your videos are fantastic!
Thank you for your kind comment, which I really appreciate. Tom has been flying his L-39 this way for many, many years. When the grass is wet, he sometimes lets the plane slide a few meters on the ground. ua-cam.com/video/rvM7pjicvjo/v-deo.htmlsi=brT1xCrpUL665UXn
Beautiful job of Shooting and Editing…you had me fooled at the beginning that I was looking at the real deal…but Excellent job flying prototypically….beautiful Scale Presentations…..the flights into IMC…WERE REALLY TENSE…..outstanding Video!
Fantastic video and fantastic planes. That Focke-Wulf of Arther Kohler’s is a scale masterpiece. They are are really all masterpieces, I just love the color scheme on that one.
Fantastic Models and Scale Detail and Great Flying..The Radials Sounded so Sweet..Best Regards from Bonnie Scotland..Keep up the Great Video's..Now Subscribed to the Channel 😉
How did I miss this for 12 days! A treat, thank you Horst! Man did that P51 disappear into low cloud?! That would have been scary! Absolutely superb models, flying and of course, filming - so beautiful angles and always love the low level taxiing angle. Great to see Arthur's FW190 still going strong :)
Hi Sam. Thank you very much for your kind words. I think that you missed the video because I wasn't uploading many videos over the past months. So it's my fault. 😊 Best regards, Horst
So beautifully flown models with flawlessly executed flares at the end. These German model pilots would have been real pilots if they would be living in US (too much taxes in Germany). Most of my flying club member buddies here in WI USA are ethnic Germans. I believe Germans are the best pilots, as they are prepared for crazy stunts since the early childhood by attending numerous crazy rides on the Oktoberfest :). My instructor guy last name is Horton. Other pilot who introduced my son to the aviation - last name Henschel. Ground school instructor - Gene Traas. Keep dreaming big! Cheers!
It's really nice to see these beautiful planes being flown properly. Most of the time the scale effect is totally lost when the pilot either can't or chooses not to fly in a scale manner. I would have loved to attend this meet.
@@RCScaleAirplanes Oh thank you a lot !!!!!! I’m gonna research this to learn the engine and enjoy the fantastic sound… By the way, I’m a car guy without knowledge about planes but can you tell me if I’m wrong please, this fantastic sound isn’t only the engine but also due to the type of propeller right ?
@@1980VINZ glad to hear that you're interested in model flying. Since this engine runs without a silencer, the propeller plays a minor role in noise generation.
Radials in the 190s sounds fantastic and the 163s are amazing.. I couldn't see where the air inlet for the turbines was - that the little vent on the fuze near the trailing edge of the wing? I see one has a NACA duct underneath - they seem like small openings. The red one was really fast! 162 was cool too. How do the pilots maintain orientation with the planes so far away? I lost my 163 when I got too high and lost orientation and it just sort of flew away - never found it.
@@RCScaleAirplanes Yeah, I suppose. Maybe he's sitting on some pillows. I'm an rc pilot, but I'd be scared to death to fly one of those. I'd be tense during the entire flight.

My brain kept making me think the planes taxiing at the beginning were full-scale planes. Great video Horst!
Many thanks for your great comment Jeff.
Scale replicas should also be staged accordingly. 😊

I was so thinking the same thing, in the air as well. That Mig 15 did it again. WOW! More than ever before. I kept going, OH YEAH, those aren't real!

Do you guys have a drone design competition?
Not as I know.
Do PPL still fly on FM ?
Not really, but in this case they were flying two ME 163 which are 40 years old and therefore they were using the same radio as back in the time.
Everything looks really good, until I saw the little pilots in the models that look like they're leaning backwards in a recliner.
