I have a first gen no markings or finish. Its missing the big bolt and is pretty dinged up. Im trying to find the bolt but its fine thread and not the course thread the newer ones have. Thanks for the info.
Your welcome, if your trying to find the original bolt like the ones in this video I’ve seen some on the Bmx Museum for sale before. I just looked on the Bmx Museum and I seen some guys selling just the bolt and some with the bolts d nut. Just make sure you ask them if the bolt threads are good. Also make sure the bolt can screw all the way down on the bolt.
😂 Your welcome I love these stems. The gold and green I got on eBay so just keep an eye out I got these pretty cheap. Bmx museum is another spot to get these stems at.
Very nice build and I subscribe to your channel. I seen that bolt on your video, looks like it was replaced at some point. As long as it holds that stem in place it’s all good.
I think it was in 1980, I got my first Tuf-Neck. It was a silver Tuf 2000, which was a rounded version with three bolts rather than square with four bolts. The Mongoose racer that I installed it on got stolen. I have never seen another one since! Anybody remember them?

Is that an optical illusion or is the top plate of silver stem bent?
Must be an illusion that plate is in great condition
MAN! I had forgotten about these!!!! Wow, you just opened up a whole new door! Thanks a lot! Lol
Great stuff man

@@bmxtrashtalk6879 thanks man
This is a good stem, clamps the bars good. But threadless forks will change your life! 👍 No more flex, no more loose headset.
Good video 👍👍. Keep up the good work 💯
Thank you
I have a tuff neck stem that doesnt have the big bolt. Check it out in my Aero destroyer build video. Great guide mate.

Are you looking for a red one? I have a red pat pending stem with the whole bolt
I have a red one that’s on my 84’ Jmc Darrell Young right now. How much are you asking for the stem just in case if I hear someone looking for one.

I’ve seen a couple for sale not to long ago. I actually thought they where repop stem at first until I looked them up.
Great info
Thank you
Did someone have the actual patent pending stamp .
I’m not sure
