The rubber colored Gt Epoch are race head sets. I mentioned in the video that they are freestyle but just like anything else you can put one on your freestyles bmx.

wtf, who welded the coin on cockeyed, crooked, i think he was on roids. jebus, its not hard to weld something on anything straight or square, its called our eyeballs.
Nice bike.great video.thank you
@@brianjarvis2823 Thank you and your welcome
It has the rear brakes down below the frame! Gorgeous ❤
Yoo tengo una Bicicleta GT California Aniquelada y negra y bien bonita
the double dimple is actually where the two pieces are held together a hole drilled through, and a pin was welded on both sides to hold the threaded sleeve from moving. The fail spot on this spindle . Would crack around the pin ! if it failed at all! They weren't called full wrap or half wraps they're simply Redline 401 flight cranks . I guess the younger Gen needs an easier way to describe them!
@@marlinmessenger3654 nice thank you for the information
Nice bike, just takes me right back! 👍
Awesome frame 👍
I’m back again. Iv got a chance to grab a nice 87, and a not so nice pft. I haven’t rode an old performer in 15 years and I’m tall so wondering what frame would be more comfortable if any for someone 6’4” . Appreciate the info if you can help
JMC represented the upper tier of BMX bikes when I was a kid. I lusted for one - lol! Yours is a heck of a nice example and I thank you for sharing it with us. Just watching this brought back so many happy bike memories.
Do you still have the 83 blue ones? Or anything else 83, japan? If i sent a pic of the bike youd understand... elina 83 saddle, etc.
Drainpipe seat or nothing!... but I was always a 90's Dyno Compe kid.
This video is not accurate. I would remove it.
I had a dg in the late 70s and kept it till the mid 80s when the frame eventually broke. But i loved the bike and did a little bit of bmx racing with it. I am now in my fifties and am long past 4iding bmx but sure wish i still had the bike.
This isnt a challenger dude... more like a next gen dirt bike. Still a good midschool frame though
Dude. Nice frame. When I was a kid in the 70’s I wanted one so bad but mom couldn’t afford it. The blue and yellow was my 2nd favorite color right behind the black with gold metal flake DG logo. Oh the memories. Thanks for sharing.
@@dirtworshiper2800 Your Welcome, the black and gold is definitely my favorite color comb
I haven’t seen those bars in almost 40 years. Really like them. What are they called, vector bars?
@@waltersobchak7275 Yes, they are called Vector bars and Bob Haro made some bars that looks like Vector bars too
Bro I had the lime green one that I got for Christmas back in 86’.
@@justinwolff9745 Damn you were lucky I got some wrangler pants and a huffy
I had this mark 2 just like yours. Loved it!
I had a vector ended up breaking the bars
@@billymz28 Dang you must have been jumping ramps. I see your F body I got a 99’ Camaro z28 that I work on hear and there.
@@bmxtrashtalk6879 yeah its was the 90s. I was abusing not knowing the value I would have now. I have a 99 SS and a 2000 SS.
This is dope
Thank you
Don de la compras
Great video, I have one of these and been to work out exactly what it was and this explains perfect. Thanks
Your welcome
The Half wrap arms on the right are first gen 401's, the full wrap arms on the left are later gen 1.5 and were late 1980's. 2nd gen flights had the threadless American BB like the one on the right were mid school. the BB on the left looks like the gen 1 and 1.5 flights. Then in the mid to late 90's they did the double pinch bolt crank arms. hope that helps.
@@charlesvincent4127 Nice it definitely helped thank you
Nice bike! I have an August 1982 Haro Freestyler Serial TXX*** F frame looking to have it restored
@@kasweetin nice

@@bmxtrashtalk6879 I love you. You. Guys. I love. BMX. Legends. Thankyou
So dumb question.. for actual use.. not for show... can these be used with a v brake lever?
Man your good, I have learned that there is no such thing as a dumb question with this hobby. The brake calipers in this video wouldn’t work on the v brake.
I have an 86 GT Pro Freestyle Tour in that same color and condition. Love it. I wish there was an easy way to remove the rust without upsetting the original paint.
Yeah I removed some rust on my old 86’ Maui pft bars and it did lighten up the color a bit.
I’m only 5-9 and honestly I can’t ride anything over 24 and still feel like a bmx. 26 and up just feels like a mountain bike with mx bars. I raced for years, I just feel the larger bikes lack the snappy agility that makes a bmx…a bmx. Maybe it’s my shorter frame, I’m old too. I COULD BE stuck in my old ways…gorgeous bike though, what’s that sucker weigh?
The Throne with all the spokes and the display should have taken a left at Albuquerque.
Those bikes weigh a ton. They have a hefty price tag for you too. I don’t get it. Why not spend the money on a really nice new bike. You can get a carbon fiber race bike for as much as some of these bikes go for, and they are made of steel like really heavy steel.
Because some people like riding what they did when they were young or some people now have money so they can buy the bike they always wanted but parents couldn't afford. And some people just like older bikes. I ride a 2005 gt performer and my son rides a new bike and he loves my bike and I like his Because it's light but trust my bikes strength more
Nice bici. I have a cyclepro. I'm go ride it

Shes sick!
@@3rdWorldNola Thank you
I picked up an unknown year morales yesterday and put those same tires on it. Gumwalls totally change the look of a bike.
I love gum wall tires on freestyle bikes
The BTS stands for “better than sex”
😂
If I even come to Texas again soon there will be a part 2 on my channel of this bike bro if you know what I am saying.
😂
Really solid color combination 👌🏻 I have one of these but can't find much history on them. Not enough to figure the stamp on the crank tube anyway. Hoping you could help or point me in the direction. Thanks and awesome bike.
Thank you, I find myself looking at this one all the time. I change some parts on it, when I do a video of my collection I’ll show this one again. I found some information on the Bmx Museum. If you go to the website and go to company normally it will pull up some information but for some weird reason it’s not showing me. I just went on google 3 minutes ago and type in Tahoe racing BMX information and Bmx Museum came up with a 1982 20 “ Tahoe with a green seat which would be at the top of the page. Click it and you can read how the company started.
I used to own this one. Turned out great. 😎
Thank you
Sorry but anything with pinch welds doesn't belong.
goddayum
That IS a hard to find model, they made a lot of 20’s but few 24’s. The forks are identical so are the chain and seat stays the flat oval tubes, with the exception of size.
Nice I didn’t know that
@@bmxtrashtalk6879 No joke man I’ve seen very very few 24 inch VFR in my life. Hi ten steel? My wife’s is, Weighs a fucking ton for a 20 inch bike…I believe it’s because the hi ten has to be way thicker tubing.
made in china means your kid has no apartment on the upside , you have an endless supply of cheap shit, and a son in pajamas and flips to entertain with. anyway , now thats a bad ass profile, and overall one of the nicest rides out there in tube land. usa thats a machine , no doubt. um, i had Eric Rupes photo on my wall . but i rode a hutch ? bc db leary ? yup i had some bad ass rides . i kick and i go cheap steel haro rebuilds 24 pro w tricked parts steel is way badder
I like the idea of going with pro neck stem...nice bike
Thank you
Gem💎
Those are temu pedals you can order them for like $20 or $30 online no joke 😂😂😂
Excited to see your whole collection. I never post but support people who do. Your Bravo Pro video inspired me and I got to finishing mine. It was in a heap for a year
Very nice man I’m glade you were able to finish you build and thank you for watching my videos.
Dang! What a gorgeous bike. Nice job man.
Thank you
I remember the FRESHOUR frame and fork being advertised in BMX ACTION magazine in the 1980s,with their rider Tim Kakouris grinning like a Cheshire Cat in the advert.I NEVER saw anyone with this bike,so it must be absolutely rare. It’s a great build by the way.I have a 2005 24” Redline flight Bubba Harris frame with SE Landing gear forks,S&M handlebars,Oakley F1 grips,Shimano brake levers,Dia Compe brake calipers,Chris King sealed headset,24” Seven spoke Skyways with Tioga Comp lll tires,Profile 180 flight crank,42t chainwheel,16t Shimano freewheel,Shimano DX pedals,Thomson handlebar stem and Thomson Seat post with an S&M seat.I went as Old Skool as I could because I love 1980s BMX.
Definitely sounds like you nailed your build on that Redline. Im a huge fan of DX pedals and I have a 9/16 blue pair just waiting on a frame set. I’m glad to hear something about Freshour.
🔥🔥🔥
Them’s haro traps, broseph. Looks like Odyssey bear traps but those are definitely haro traps
Thank you
Featuring jAcky Chan and Chris Tucker….sweet obscure ride. And clean!
