I’m glad to see a 2003 past 100,000 miles. These were doomed due to a Valero radiator defect that would mix coolant into transmission. It happened to me at 38,000 miles, I got rid of the 03 for an 04.

They are good cars it's the air suspension you need to look out for

Yea they are good, just found one w replaced air suspension on rear at 51k made it back 400 miles elegantly

They have issues with SBC (electronic braking) but its an active recall still for 7 years on the one i got since its an 04. It has Esp issues also which i still must further research

My 2004 E500 has 7-speed transmission. Some had 5 spd, some had 7.
5 spd was meant to be more bulletproof though..
