Over the weekend, my best friend and Rainworks co-founder Xack Fischer celebrated his 25th birthday by fulfilling a childhood dream: floating a bounce house down a river.
Next time use flexible draigange hose to carry the air to the castle. Also, the pressure inside should always be higher than the water, so caulking the seams was not needed. Just a few helpful tips if you want to do it again!
I was one of the people who went out on this (I was typically one of the guys in the corners anchoring it in place since I was so tall) and I got some insight about why they didn't use the generator, one reason was to try avoid buying anything that they didn't already have (the caulk was the biggest expense but they already owned the bounce house and a lot of the equipment for the power extension). Plus the river started getting really shallow once you went a bit further down. It's not shown in the time lapse but we manually dragged it back upstream a few times to make sure it stayed deep enough. We definitely discussed the possibility of buying a generator so we could take it onto other rivers (there was a reggae festival nearby we thought it would be cool to crash, but we were so concerned about the whole thing sinking after two minutes that buying a generator for the off-chance that it would work was overkill.
We already owned most of the supplies (bounce house rental was the old family business, and we already owned the kayak and floaties, etc) - so they largest expenses were the caulking, and transportation to get to the river!
@@icreatenovelty where did you buy this bounce house from can you send me a link where you bought it from or do you still have it are you selling it could you sell it to me

I would think your momentum would be absorbed by the water underneath the bouncehouse, so you would just be jumping at normal height, or less.
I'm right here, sitting at my computer on dinner time, looking at your video, while you're here outside, living the dream...

I think it would be more fun to shoot the rapids on it!
If you use a bluetti solar generator, than you can actually float down the river. It's quiet and compact.
A gas electric generator would have been safer and more portable. You could have gone down the whole river with it.
