Yea but Deep Sea is absolute trash of a level especially on n64 ntsc. On PAL A n SA u can zoom in with the farsight n snipe objective 2 so elvis doesnt have 2 hack consoles but on PA u go thru those rooms and shoot the 2 things at the very end. Getting the farsight was hell bc my crt has no brightness control so those rooms were impossible 2 navigate thru plus the tiny skedar blur the screen when they hit u so its blurry and dark. Had 2 use a friends crt maxed the brightness and barely got the target time still. Villa was always a fun level deep sea was no doubt the worst!
@@Matanumi You know, it occurs to me that for someone of such importance Carrington really didn't have much security except for that one dead guard found in the shower.
@@combinecommando001 right, like his rivals literally set up snipers and invaded, meanwhile he's having an important meeting without any protection besides his generator 🤣
Eat she can do it between levels, sleep technically you can go without sleeping for a week, specially with drugs, the game takes place in just two weeks or so - I'm sure she had time to at least sleep some during they happen.
Probably my favourite level in Perfect Dark. Carrington Villa is beautiful, full of action as well as cool rooms and areas. I’d love to know where this is supposed to be.
theres a door where you open it on this level you get a noticeable drop in frames even playing on the GEPD 1964 edition on computer. at 1:20 when he opens the door even in this video you can see it.
My favorite level in the game. I play this ALL the time. It's pretty cool that PA makes YOU the negotiator instead and start right there. But the snipers are challenging to deal with.
I didn't know you can be the character down there I remember having to snipe down there and stop them from killing her that's crazy I missed out so much from not playing this in the past
My only experience with perfect dark in the time of me growing up was the new one on the Xbox 360 I only played the old one when I got a emulator for it but once I got a lot of games on steam kinda gave up on my emulators it was fun watching you play through the story though ur aim is flawless
Doesn't Carrington look a lot like Mr. Jensen (James Robertson Justice) from The Guns of Navarone? It's a classic movie about a team of british spies and commandos in a mission to destroy advance german artillery in an impregnable fortress in an Aegean island, I seriously recommend it.
Those two guards at the very beginning of this stage, especially, are rather useless (no matter which version of this stage is being played, at that, even).
Did you knock out any other guard before? If you kill everyone it'll fail, although you can still complete it by knocking out one of the basement guards.
I haven't played this game for like, 9 years and i didn't remember what to do, thanks, i hope we can see some gameplay of the new Perfect Dark announced by The Initiative at E3 2021
Does anyone know how to get this game to play correctly on emulator? I am using Project64 version 1.7 and at this level, everything flickers: bad guys, objects, doors.....it's very hard to play through it when you're being shot at by someone who keeps disappearing and reappearing.! Can someone help me out please?
Well, first of all Project64 1.7 is *very* old, it had tons of updates since then and you can get it on the official site - www.pj64-emu.com/nightly-builds Secondly, I'd recommend using another emulator for Perfect Dark and GoldenEye, which is what I used for my playthroughs and streams - ua-cam.com/video/UR0Oi3Ubqj8/v-deo.html That's the tutorial with updated links in the description. It lets you play at 60FPS with native mouse and keyboard support.
@@Pro_Max61 No I mean how are they the dumbest lol, are you playing on the easiest difficulty? They melt you on later levels easily. Zero also becomes unbearably hard on Dark Agent.
@@Graslu00 so u have no idea about good shooter games. For example COD bots have one of the shittest AI and easily melt you on the highest difficulty. But they are still dumb as fuck. The same in Perfect Dark but the AI there is even worse. Shooter with good AI are for example FEAR, HALO or Half Life, not perfect but still good.
@@Pro_Max61 You have yet to say what makes them shit. Really proving your point there. You originally said they're dumb so I figured they never killed you since you must be on Agent and that's not it then? CoD AI has nothing similar to Perfect Dark's lol. Also funny that you say Half-Life, when they were impressed by GoldenEye AI and Perfect Dark's AI is that but improved.
Yes I agree entirely. Being able to play both of them with an Xbox controller nowadays certainly shines the light on that fact. Although having fast movement as an option unlocked via control tinkering is a really nice touch. I certainly wish perfect dark XBLA had that feature.

I love how this level has two different spawn points and locked doors based on what difficulty you're playing on. :)
Yeah I like that compared to GE, except on Deep Sea in Perfect Agent... UGH
This game is considered to be the spiritual successor of Goldeneye.
That explains why I didnt recognised the start scene :)
Same

I love how Joanna pretends to be a helpless hostage at the start of the level. Little do they know, she's the most dangerous person there.
Agreed. She has an Alita Battle Angel feel to her. It also reminds me of the scene from the Street Fighter movie with Chun Lee and Bison.
Will never forget the 'holy shit' moment when I first played this on perfect agent and I played as the negotiator as opposed to saving her
dataDyne thug 1: You know, the negociator kind of looks like the woman who killed 50 of our agents back on HQ last night.
dataDyne thug 2: Quiet you!
I can't believe this game is 20 years old now. The nostalgia is killing me.
In a way it hasn't aged
Joanna: “I should have been quicker.”
Apparently Carringtons resolve was so weak he couldn’t last 3 minutes 45 seconds before cracking.
you forget that there was time to prep for mission and time to make it there as well

3:38 GRIMSHAW: Joanna, it's Grimshaw! We got hackers at the Villa. You got to stop them before they get to our files!
Why does Grimshaw sound exactly like Mort from family guy
This video maybe 9 years old, but it helped me with task 4: Capture dataDyne guard.
When does Joanna ever find time to eat or sleep? "I need you there tonight."
Eat she can do it between levels, sleep technically you can go without sleeping for a week, specially with drugs, the game takes place in just two weeks or so - I'm sure she had time to at least sleep some during they happen.

The guard at 3:28 didn't even wait for you to shoot him before dying.
No. When you have a sniper rifle on this level and enemies see you... they lay down on the ground to shoot you.
Good strategy to deploy the laptop but infortunately it didn't worked :D
I headcanon that the perfect agent difficulty is the canonical version of the game. As Joanna is better at disguise in this level
Kill Hackers music sounded like Cradle Chase. XD
Same composer
*Trevelyan:* Finish the job joanna! if you can....
'It's not your fault... I should have been quicker...'

The laptop sentry can attack the hackers but you need to position it precisely in the right location which would be on the roof.
