1:42 I like how that one guard is running to intercept the armed intruder that’s sedating air base security personnel with a wrist-mounted crossbow, only to casually greet said armed and now disguised intruder as she continues her way into the air base. 😜
I also like how Joanna’s choice of winter clothing in the original consists of a thermal pullover and a beanie, yet in the XBLA remaster, she’s dressed in a parka and one of those flap caps with the fuzzy insides.
The XBLA uniform gives me Star Wars vives. I feel like the developers were trying to tie the XBLA PD version of Joanna more to Perfect Dark Zero's teenage Joanna.
When you get on the elevator, it might be a little faster and easier to close the doors when you see the two guards facing away from you. From there, it takes you up one floor straight to AF1
@kaisershephard916 and @Graslu00, is there a surefire way to get the guard to help you, with a weapon? I've tried a few different methods, and what usually happens is: the air base guard draws a weapon and starts punching/shooting me, or the guard does not draw a weapon and is punching enemies. I haven't yet found the right timing and method to get the guard to draw a weapon and be my ally at the same time.
I sure wish they had this game exactly the way it is on high def on PlayStation Network or Xbox guys are lucky but still we should both have this exact same game on every system.
I think this was the point where the game just got too hard for me. You wouldn't get away with that these days as people now expect quicksaves and checkpoints. If you're upstairs and turn off the security systems you can end up being literally unable to escape, because like a billion guards turn up and you have no ammo.
2:50 SHIT! Did that NSA agent just fucking ice that guard in the face, trying to shoot you? I know he's supposed to be an NSA *Lackey* (note the name), but that's a level of incompetence that's just unbelievable!
Scripted event. Within the framework of the story, the NSA guards know the gig is up once Jo is on site. Trent's orders to them are to kill anyone that could interfere with their plan. This is why you no longer see Air Force personal once you reach that point as they've all been killed off screen. In fact, if left alive long enough once that NSA agent ices the Air Force soldier, he scream "We're taking over!" at Jo.
During the cutscene, when Joanna looks through the Horizontal Scanner, my screen just turns black, it returns to normal when the cutscene changes. I don't know what's wrong with my emulator but, it doesn't bother me.
Graslu00 Forgot to mention another problem, the Night Vision and the CamSpy doesn't work for my second player, it has the black screen problem too. Will Glide64 fix it too?
Hey buddy how are the graphics so good and are you using a regular N64 paddle? I have a brand new one and I can't plow through any level like you can with the fantastic accuracy you have too! Any info you could share :)?
This is played on PC with an emulator at 60fps and true 1080p, there's no way to do this on the real N64. I've streamed the original Perfect Dark on the N64 a few times before if you want to see it.
Graslu00 I just got into this pc gaming. What site did you use to download the emulator and game? I can't find any solid answers from anyone or online. Most emulators don't work
I made a tutorial here - ua-cam.com/video/UR0Oi3Ubqj8/v-deo.html I can't tell you where to get the game, but Google should do it. Just make sure you get the NTSC (USA) versions.
I do not understand, how the developers tested the game. There are literally no signs how to complete the third objective. You have only 35 seconds to run to some far room, where you have to beat a guardian. Unfortunately the game is filled up with such unclear objectives...
I think im one death away from throwing this game in an inferno, how the flying fuck do you even beat this level on n64 like wtf I either run out of ammo, get fucking killed in one burst or am too slow and 100000 guards spawn Edit: can anyone help? Its just this level, ive beaten all others including the carrington institute but for fuck sake this is the most unforgiving pos level I’ve ever played
@@Graslu00 thanks graslu! Ur the best, I never noticed that you use the dragons as proximity mines the whole way, I was always just trying to shoot my way to the safe as fast as possible and id always run out of ammo after like 3 kills but the way you did it looks much easier, i also never knew if u press the elevator twice it takes u right to the end of the level
Ok 3rd edit I finally beat it but definitely not the intended way I cheesed the fuck outta that level I cooked it to the elevator first then went down it and lured all the guards down killed them in the elevator and then went back up for the flight plans after

You're pretty good. But your fast pace just ruins the game. It's like you're racing to beat everything.
The good thing about these games is that they adapt to different playstyles. You also need to play fast to unlock the cheats from each mission.
Its not like he is exploiting glitches in order to beat the game. I like this style as it shows someone who is fast when playing the normal way.
@@HarmonySword well thats debatable, I doubt the devs intended the use of strafe running, but im just nitpicking at this point xD
