NC Mountain Turkey Hunt 4/8/17

Opening day of turkey season in NC. The woods was quit this morning. we barely heard this bear on roost, rushed down the Mountain to get into position on this bird. got setup on a ridge right below him not 125yd from us. Started talking to this bird an he didn't wait around an came in on a string.

God bless you buddy,I lost my Mom back in March of 2018,I just have become interested in turkey hunting and went the last day of the season last month,did not get a turkey herd one one time could not get it to come to me.I`m here in Henry county Virginia just north of you.
I know I`ll see my Momma again one day again just like you will see your Dad again one day because we have faith in Jesus.
Hoping the Lord will bless me with a turkey this spring.

May 6 the last day of turkey season I got a giant for my first turkey it had a 10 and 3/4 inch beard and inch spurs on him
