Yes they are one of a kind and although they drive you mad you wouldn't have it any other way!

Can you please make more videos on your dog? We are getting an Irish Terrier Puppy in September and haven’t been able to find much info from Irish Terrier owners - they’re quite rare here in Australia. Would love to know how you found training her, how you keep her entertained, tips for toilet training, if she barks etc etc.

Congratulations for getting your own Irish Terrier! The best thing I can recommend is joining a facebook group called the Irish Terrier Association. Its full of lovely kind people from all over the world who are more than happy to help out a fellow IT owner. For toilet training (sounds over the top) but write down how often they wee and poop. Once you know how often e.g. every twenty minutes at the start, thats when you take them out. Lots of praise and a treat if they go outside and if they go inside no praise and ignore it. There too young to be told off for going to the toilet inside. They do bark but it's usually to say hello to people and twiglet usually stops when you tell her too. Like all terriers they are very energetic and need lots of toys and things to keep them entertained. I hope this helps and feel free to ask any more questions :)

I can also recommend the fb group Training Irish Terriers - there are a lot of useful information and there are also some IT owners from Australia :)

@@rowanwanstall6599 thank you for the response - we just got our pup (Ted) this week. He's such a handful but we love him. The bark came out this week and he's showing more of his personality each day. Thank you for the tips and handy Facebook page

    Are they hypoallergenic?

Yes they are hypoallergenic. Irish terriers don't shed there fur so need clipping or stripping. We regularly strip twiglet when she starts to look like a wookie and she really enjoys it :)
