- I've had nothing but problems with my first 2 Gran Lattissima machines. This is the third one and I go over the operation, for first timers, and re-evaluate the issues I've had with the previous machines. This one is actually already starting to do the same things that plagued the operation of the first two. I will be doing more follow-up videos to keep you abreast of the developments.

This third machine ended up with the same problems I describe. I contacted Nespresso again and they agreed to replace the Gran Lattissima with an entirely different model, the Creatista Plus. I have reviewed the Creatista Plus separately. It's awesome! ua-cam.com/video/5q_9VuyayHw/v-deo.html

We saw that Creatista plus as well and they also launched Creatista Pro which is $145 expensive in these deals this week, what you suggest between these 2?

Very informative and pleasant presentation. Having had a machine disappointment I can tell you that Nespresso Customer Service is excellent in that they do respond well to customer issues. The build qualty

Excellent review! Those are the 2 exact problems I have with the machine, accidental button press and dispensing water instead of milk. I think I will give the Lattissima Touch a go.
I truly believe this machine has a design flaw. I know three people that have it and all of us complain about the same issues.
Thanks for the review! Keep us up to date on how it’s working. I recently bought the same machine and ran into the same exact issue. Worked great initially but only for a couple weeks. I contacted Nespresso and they sent me a new frother. Hopefully it fixes the issue. It became very frustrating when cups of coffee became VERY inconsistent in terms of quantity of froth that would come out. Very disappointing to see you having the same issue because it makes me feel like there’s no fix it’s just the machine. Keep us updated.
derekjz This 3rd machine has the same issues as the previous 2 machines had. It’s endemic to the machine in my opinion.

Not really. It has the same issues with froth that the previous machines had. It only works well for Ristretto, Espresso and Lungo.

Kevin W Interesting. I hope you have better luck with your gran lattissima than I did with the three that I had. I recently got the Creatista Plus which has been much more reliable and a more pleasant experience for me... so far anyway.

Juan Ernesto Tambriz I think you’ll have a very difficult time finding them because they were a gift from friends of mine who live in Denmark. I got them over 20 years ago.
What are the problems you had with the Gran Latissima. I have one and it just gives out water from the milk frother.
That is the problem as well as inconsistent volumes of espresso
What's the difference between the Gran Latissma and the pro?
I have never used the Pro, but it is quite similar. The coffee options are somewhat different though. There is also an option to just dispense hot water. Another difference is the Pro has a touch screen vs more simply buttons on the Gran Lattissima.
Thank you for the review... You mentioned that you used almond milk sometimes.. could this be the cause of the problems you faced with the machine?
I use Skim Milk and only used Almond Milk a couple times. It's not a problem caused by Almond Milk., it's an issue with the function of the machine.
I found there is a difference with using skim milk and the almond milk skim milk you get a better frot than with the almond milk
had the exact same problem, the frother works 50% of the time. this product should really be taken off the market. got a breville creatista as a replacement, works great. cost a bit more than the gran latissima but well well worth it

A Lungo is basically an Americano. Since the pod holds so little coffee to begin with you wouldn't really want to add more water than what a Lungo adds or it would be very weak. But yes, if you want just water, I suppose you could eject the pod, close the lever and just push either of the three buttons on the left to add more hot water.

Adam Allen I’ve updated in other comments. I don’t recommend this machine for making anything other than ristretto, espresso and lungo. The froth and milk functions are unreliable and I believe the machine design is fundamentally flawed. I’ve had 3 of these and two friends have them. All exhibit the same problems.
I dont have any issues with mine as yet and I have had it for a few months, my only issue is the amount that is dispensed with the latte

I am confused about the Lattisma Touch device and the Gran Lattisma device .. What would you advise me to do .. because the second device is expensive
I would advise you to avoid all Lattissima models. There are too many bad reviews talking about all the same issues I’ve had with the three Gran Lattissimas that I’ve had. I would suggest you consider the Creatista Plus. It’s expensive but the best machine by Nespresso in my opinion.

How can I exit from descaling
Is the problem related to the Frother? I am choosing between Gran Lattissima and Lattissima Touch if the issue is with the Gran Lattissima alone, I suppose Lattissima Touch is way better. What do you say and think?
The problem is primarily with the frother, but I have also experienced issues with the volume dispensed not being consistent non-froth drinks; espresso, lungo and ristretto. I have no experience with the Lattissima Touch.

Maybe the volume issues with the non-coffee recipes are due to the reason that you may have used non-Nespresso branded capsules, not that I'm an expert but I have read from one of their articles that although some brands are compatible, they do not recommend to use non-Nespresso brand capsules because it may cause problems wotht he machine. I don't want to impose or such, I just assumed.
Maybe I would opt for the Lattissima Touch or research more about issues that occurred in our country.
Carl Balome while it is true they don’t recommend off-brand capsules, I’ve had the volume issue occur with Nespresso capsules. If you go to the Nespresso website you’ll find numerous reviews of the Gran Lattissima that cite the same issues I’ve been having.

But now I found an issue which is about hot milk button, the machine doesn’t give me hot milk instead of that I see water and a bit milk in bottom of cup😫😫😫
I’ve been trying to let people know through my reviews that that is the main problem with this machine.

What issues did you face with the first two?
taif abdulaziz the Frother would often sputter and deliver nothing but drips of water and steam instead of milk and froth. The volumes of coffee and froth would be wildly variable.

Yes. The exact same problems. And a friend of mine who purchased one also has the same issues. The issues I show are endemic to this machine.

Hayley Mcardle Nespresso has replaced my Gran Latissima twice. All three of them experienced the frothing issue. They finally agreed to replace it with an altogether different machine and I just received the Creatista Plus. amzn.to/3jEecfa I love it. It’s not quite as automatic but nearly so. I plan on doing a thorough review of it in the next couple days.

I don't really have a suggestion to try other than to contact Nespresso. I hope you can get the issue fixed.
I also purchased this machine and never had a successful cappuccino. I sent back to technical support, they showed me that they can make with no issue but once I received back, the same problem occured. It doesn't make a good quality of milk foam and is not event close to a cappuccino. I can't solve the problem with the company and I'm very sad to purchase this machine.
I’m very sorry to hear that. After they replaced my Gran Lattissima twice, I was very persistent with their customer support people. I insisted that they replace my machine due to its poor performance and multiple instances of other people expressing the same issues. I did not want them to replace the Gran Lattissima with another Gran Lattissima. They eventually capitulated, and offered me the Creatista Plus which I’ve been extremely happy with.

You didn’t clean the milk froth system between uses. You have to do that each time. You set the knob to clean and let it clean itself then do another drink. Looks like user error.
Not user error. if you are making back to back drinks you do not have to do a cleaning. Read the reviews on Nespresso website for this machine, You'll find scores of similar complaints.

At the end of the preparation, the (Clean) alert illuminates orange to indicate it is necessary to clean the Rapid Cappuccino System.” All of the people that reviewed this did as the manual said after each milky drink. Not arguing just hoping others read the manual and do as instructed.
Actually I think you'd better rewatch the video. particularly at 12:07 and 16:42. And at 14:55 I edited the video and probably did another cleaning at that point. But since this was over 2 years ago, I don't recall. Regardless, this was the third machine that behaved that way and many others have reported the same. I'm happy you are happy with yours. I'm quite happy that I got rid of the Gran Lattissima and moved over to the Creatista Plus, a far superior experience without the hassles of constant cleaning that the Gran Lattissima requires.
@@jamesg3801 And not to belabor the point, but I just got off the phone with Nespresso and was assured that if two milk drinks were made one after another, there is no need to clean the Rapid Cappuccino System between uses in that scenario. They just want to make sure that you clean it after "each use" to ensure that it gets cleaned to prevent bacteria from forming between longer periods of time in between uses in which bacteria could begin developing which would be a bad and potentially unhealthy thing. It is also recommended that milk not be kept in the container for longer than 2 days.
Disappointed with this machine. We bought it on February 2020 @Goodguys, we just used it several months the issues came out. We sent it to repair and returned back in August. However, the problem did not solve. Sent it back to Goodguys in October, we are now still waiting for the functioning machine. Nearly one year and close to Christmas, I can't imagine that we pay more $ but get shit.
This model is flawed and I wish I knew before I bought it what I know now. Fortunately I was able to get Nespreso to finally send me a Creatista Plus to replace the 3 unacceptable Gran Lattissima machines that were all failures. I am completely happy with the Creatista Plus.

Lucky I guess. Many others, myself included, have had very poor experiences with this particular machine.
I do take issue with you blaming a touch sensitive control panel for being, well, touch sensitive. That’s one is on you, not the machine. As for the amount of water released after a cleaning cycle, it’s only a tiny, tiny amount and will not affect the overall taste of the drink. As for the cleaning cycle, you can make more than one drink at a time, just run the cleaning cycle after making those drinks, right away, put the jug right into the fridge. It doesn’t have to be run between drinks, that’s overkill.
I didn’t blame the machine for being touch sensitive, I said it was my problem. Also I never stated that you needed to clean the frother after making every milk drink. The overall point regarding the milk frother is that it is inconsistent, not reliable and 50% of the time produces nothing but steam and sputtering. I’ve had three of these machines which indicates it is not an isolated incident. Many other people are reporting the same problems.
