SZA gives me hope in the R&B genre man. This very song was flame and in my opinion shows how she is forwarding and evolving the game of R&B. Her writing and how she delivers on it with her vocals really displays her talent as a artist and I love it. I agree completely, at least with the second part. To me, Blonde is his best work, but I completely get you. His style shifted from project to project drastically, so I feel your love for Ultra. I just love the minimal yet layered production on Blonde that puts the spotlight on his great voice and beautiful lyrics. It's poetry, really.
You're right, I think some of his shit could be labeled as R&B but to be honest I'm not as well versed in that genre. Just wanted to show some support for an artist I love, my bad!
His music is hard to classify I think, he pulls from so many other artists and genres so it's hard to label it as a single one. And that's true from many artists, but it is what it is.

Another great R&B selection. I've never heard this song but I will be checking out more of her music. If you like Sza check out La'Porsha Renae "Good Woman" or anything else she's done. Also, as far as male R&B The Weeknd is (in my opinion) the one to watch. He's that perfect blend of Prince and MJ. I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of the older music from Boyz II Men, Silk, 112 etc.

From SZA my favourite song of hers was babylon, the song really showed off her style as well as in the music video. Yall gotta check out some NPR tiny desk concert, all unplugged . I have recently listened to a lot of Grunge, and listened to a song called "Hunger Strike", by Temple of Dog. It was a project that included the lead singer of Pearl Jam, Eddie Veddar; and Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden. Since Cornell died recently, and you dedicated two shows to Chester, who died the same way. I think it would be awesome if you looked into that song.
